I really like these videos. The exercises are almost exactly like the ones I learned from my belated guitar teacher. He was 'old school' and never played with distortion or effects. He charted some dynamite stuff for me over the years. Zeppelin, Yes, Steely Dan, Chick Corea, Weather Report, Beatles, etc.... just to name a few. If there are any players out there thinking that these videos can't help them because they're done with distortion, guess again. This guy's 'old school' picking technique is extravagant, and his exercises will help you play the old stuff with staggering precision. Much obliged.
I've got something to add. If you reach a speed barrier, don't stop there, go further until it comes back to you. For example, I might train at 120bpm, get stuck at 150bpm, then pick the lick back up at 170+ bpm. I'll periodically go back down to the tempo I was stuck at until I get it.
Hey there, one question, I'm having an issue on my picking but only on the low e string, it seems the upward stroke feels harder than the downward stroke, like my pick gets stuck in the low e string, this doesnt happen on other strings ... if anybody has an idea thxxx :)
I agree that walking fast and running are two completely different things. My top speed is playing a 16th note sequence with alternate picking at BPM=170~180 depending on its pattern. To break this speed barrier, I need to slowly increase the tempo from 180 to 181, 182~ and so on, right?
If you're stuck at 180, try 210, 200, 190 and then back to 180. Sometimes trying to go insanely fast and then backing off a bit can make your plateau feel slower. Worth a shot. You've got nothing to lose.
After 10 month playing guitarplay time overall. Last week i break my personal record on speedwise - 215bpm i guess that was my peak - 190 - 200 bpm consistently ^^

As far as sweeping goes I've practiced for YEARS and I can do it slow, but can't pass a speed barrier.

I can’t find that course. Is it part of your patreon membership?
Real ones know he was playing Creeping Death at 0:39
YESSIRRRR
Which guitar did you use in this video?
Hey man can you play solo of sweet child of mine with pinky finger help Slash plays it with 3 fingers and I wonder how it would be 4 finger playing
You release too much of your knowledge for free. It's a strong virtue to be so charitable.
My eyes don't go that fast.lpl
Real ones know this is a reupload
So what?
@@Fabretteable welcome to the metaverse, bruh. This is how people talk here lol. Yes its annoying but it is how it is now lol
Really? I couldn't tell between all the videos where he ruins acoustic guitars by filling them with water or tries to play them underwater.
