Perfect timing. Im trying to learn Frantic Disembowelment right and its not going well. Its so fast and all over the board but Im determined so thanks Bernth for making these videos.
Jeez another great exercise vid, Bernth! We don't have this in classical training, wish you were around 10 years ago, I could have used your mentoring!
Have you covered the fingering using your thumb on a lower fret and another finger on a higher fret that Dave Mustaine used? I would have to develop a new callous to do this frequently, but this fingering allows me to perform hammer-ons and pull-offs between the 12th and 21st frets of the 1st string of my 26.75" guitar.
Hey Bernth I gotta ask. You talk a lot about ergonomy of playing - string action, pick shape, holding the pick etc. What about string gauge? Why you play particularly 10-46? Why not make it easyer on those solos using 9-42 or hybrid 9-46?
For me finger rolling is very easy for me since I rarely use my pinky so I compensate for that by doing a finger roll which I do a lot with the guitar version of unholy by Sam Smith
I would recommend stretching your hands and fingers out if you don’t already, do this everyday even if you aren’t playing that day, it helps to alleviate some pain and tension when making big reaches, I’ve also got small hands and it really helps after time. Guitar365 has a great hand stretch exercise that I use constantly.

I enjoy how a lot of these are basically intermediate and I'm basically gonna have to go through this at some point with trial by fire lmao

Thanks for this, these exercises basically solve any issues I have with sweep picking. Great stuff.
Can you teach me how to grow longer fingers!?!?
It's easy bro,,,if ur fingers do hanging for 10 min each day on pull up bar ,,they will surely grow taller 😊
Pls help cuz i dont know what to learn as a beginner 😢
Start with chords and simple melodies for your favorite pop songs
His patreon page had its own beginner collection. And it's not a lot of money each month. Totally worth it. I would have loved this when I started.
So, I think it's cool but i've got small fingers like Angus's Young and I physically can't jump from 7 to 12 fret

Practicing arpeggios has given me some tendon pain in my fretting hand. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!
i can not achieve the stretch for that first exercise. God damn that's hard.
No, it *does* mean I'm not talented and lacking genetic gifts.
But, hard work can mitigate that some. There will always be a ceiling, though.
Please let me pay for the first tier I need those exercises 😭
