Fantastic videos, came to see the Edge Explore for research prior to purchase and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and the content. Well Done!
Very useful thank you . How can I set to auto reroute ? I was riding last weekend and it was telling me to u turn when I didn’t want to ( I was following a planned route ) . It didn’t want to auto re route back onto the course when I ignored the garmin directions
Hi thanks for the video.when I try to use the car or motorcycle setting it says maps do not have routable roads in this area.what does this mean please .can you help .thanks
Good video well explained, I’ve just brought the edge explore, in the process of setting it up, I like the way you have set the speed distance up etc. Is there a way of changing the distance to miles instead of feet? Thanks
I'm not quite sure about Edge computers, but I own Fenix 5 watch, and if my memory serves me well, you gotta set kilometers via garmin connect app, not on the device itself.
Very clear and well explained review. It’s just a shame that the battery life is poor. It ran out with me after about 5 hours yesterday on my debut test run.
Thank you. Does it have an extended display feature aka triathlon mode? Will it be possible to record all the stages of a triathlon on fenix 5 and use this computer just as a display during bike stage?
Peter, have they implemented Trailforks into the Garmin Explore, like the newer versions of Edge 530,830.I really like this unit. Can’t decide between this and Bryton rider 750

dont need any off that just need the garman for touring and keep me off the road and on towpath and quiet roads .How do I set that up instead please help
Just to clarify the Edge Explore is a separate unit in its own right (smaller body and screen size from 1030). It is primarily a navigation unit and doesn't have all of the performance metrics of the 1030 (but probably has most that the average non racing cyclist would want). You can set the data screen to show time of day as well as 2 'gear' data fields (rear gear and something else i can't remember). It has Ant Plus (but not for power meters) and Bluetooth but not wifi.
Select the three line icon at bottom of home page > Ride Settings > Routing . Recalculation. You can then choose between Prompted, Automatic and Off. I set mine (on any of my GPS) to prompted or off as if I'm following a course I mainly want to stick to it. If I get an off course notification I can then just double back to the missed turn and rejoin my course (I do however carefully map any big rides I'm doing so don't want the garmin re-routing me)
I note that this tutorial is 18 months old. I've just bought an Edge Explore and am trying to get it set up. However, the screens I'm presented with are not the same as I see in this tutorial. Does anyone know if the device has been updated, or do I need to download an update? The interface I'm getting is making it very, very difficult to select display options. I don't get taken to the menu with POPULAR at the top and when I do, by chance, get to it, there are no tick/check boxes. When I try to select any of the options, they don't get added. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Excellent tutorial. Thanks for sharing 👏👏👏
My LBS told me that the Garmin 1030 Explore doesn't show date/time/DI2 and doesn't have wifi/ANT, is this true?

O wow, thank you !
My edge explore doesn't reroute me when I go off the original road. It just keeps trying to u-turn me. Any ideas? Cheers.
