- Disneyland and California Adventure have been on a roll lately. Will the trend continue in this first week of the Halloween season at DCA?
Join us as we tour the entire park. Every land and every attraction. We'll talk about how the economy of Disneyland feels like a microcosm of the economy of the nation. Redwood creek and Tom Sawyer Island are the only 2 places kids can run around and adventure. Every place else is just lines for rides. Adults love them too because they are shady, beautiful places to escape the crowds.
They should make a Star Wars themed peoplemover attraction for Galaxy's Edge. Black Spire Express
There was supposed to be the Bantha ride, which was basically a combination of a Main Street vehicle and a giant animatronic.

At 46:37 my heart sinks when I see those power lines behind Paradise Pier. I'm hoping if the put a Coco dark ride behind the Incredicoaster they also include some way of blocking the view off the power lines.

Thank you for sticking up for us families! I havent visited Redwood Challenge yet but I look forward to making some time in our day to let our littles run around there someday. It makes me cringe when I see selfish comments from adults who basically say they don't want little kids at the parks! Its baffling and heartbreaking.

Hi Dave, have been at Disneyland since this past Sunday. Went to Disneyland Monday/Wednesday and Calif Adv on Tuesday. Love this place, but was so disappointed with so many rides down and also for so many temporarily closed. While there are wonderful cast members, they have way too many that are rude and don't care about anything. I hope with time, things will get better. Was looking for you but no luck. Keep up the great videos!
Been 2 yesterday last visit, and waiting for at least 95% open rate on rides. More open the more you spread out people.
Unfortunately it will only get worse. Sad 😞.
The stock market seems to agree...value down 19 percent per share over the last six months. Keep in mind that this can slow capital investment in the parks. See you expend to build but no cash benefit until it is running and accepted by the public
Former Cast Member here. My era was when Disney actually cared about their brand. Those days are over. Disney will continue to become like their inferior competitors. Don’t believe me? Watch. Disney talks the talk, they no longer walks the walk
@@DougYeager-i8b agree! I go for the old vibe, and it is less and less each year. BUT, all ot takes is new leadership, and Disneyland could be great again. Hold on, hope for a better future.

They turn off when 5&Dime show is happening. All depends on showtimes and when the timer lets it go back on
Could they be doing a “Back Flow Test” if water rides are being added near by like Monterey inc?
it’s weird. and i’m sure they just recycle the water in a loop, so it can’t be water conservation.

My family and I (9 of us) went to Paris this summer (1 week before the Olympics). On our last day we went to Disneyland Paris/Walt Disney Studios! We rode Hollywood Tower of Terror and it was amazing! We all agreed we preferred it to Guardians of the Galaxy. Small World was awesome, clean, bright and no view of technical equipment along side the canal, it was covered which added to the awesomeness. All the rides were fun but didn't seem to be as long as their Anaheim counterparts. Love all the shade structures over the queues.
All in all it was a great time but just didn't seem to have the same "Magic" as Walt's original.
I went to Great America a few weeks ago for the first time, and it was terrible... makes me appreciate Disneyland so much more.
they do run the water. but they also shut it off at times. usually at rope drop, it will be on. but later, it will be off. i'm not sure if it has to do with the Five and Dime or not. So it's not broken, or anything, it's by choice. but working there multiple times a week, i can for sure tell you, it's on every day.

Hi David, sorry for my quietness. When you talked about what you were mobile ordering I had to chime in XD. The green stuff is seaweed salad and masago is smelt roe (eggs). That's what the orange stuff is and now you got me wanting to buy sushi lol.

What’s weird is I checked the events calendar last week for the first week of October and Deadpool was definitely on there! I can see he gone now 😢
We will always love Redwood Creek. My daughter would spend hours in there every trip. When she was 4, she called it the big playground. That space and the island will always be important to us.
I was in DCA last Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and the Cathay Circle fountain was working. Could it be a heat related thing? Maybe keeping people out of the water?
We were there on Monday and did use LL for mermaid. Took about 10 minutes. Our only "long" wait of the day was a 25 minute Radiator Springs Racers Single Rider around the time you showed it

Hello David, with the new boxes could be hiding lighting and speakers, and possibly large sub woofers if there is a lot of low end bass in the attraction. I can’t tell from the sound on my tv due to no sub woofer. And I haven’t been to experience in person. Keep up the great show.

Redwood creek and grizzly river run is what reminds me I’m in Disney California adventure it has California all over it the landscaping the wilderness feeling plus right by the grand Californian it’s just amazing I hope it stays that way
Just went August 28th, got stuck on incredi coaster but still had a blast.First time in dca/Disneyland & I can honestly say DCA was more fun.
It's hard to ever see DCA as a full-day park with just one roller coaster. I was hoping for Cosmic Rewind instead of the "scoop" vehicle simulator/screen attraction. So now I'm hoping for a Spider-Man suspended coaster to replace the dud that is Web Slingers. Another coaster -- and a themed one, which the park does not yet have -- would be the number one way to make this park feel complete. Even the E-ticket Avengers and Pandora attractions will not do what a coaster would do for this park.
Quick question, and it might be a dumb question, but are you able to ride the dark version of guardians using LL if you used the LL for guardians prior to 1500 (before it switches to the dark version)

I use lighting lane on all rides. I only visit once a year though.
My guess is they will make Redwood Creek into Avatar Land. It fits the vibe over there
Could you please conduct a comparison between mobile ordering and waiting in line for food? Some establishments, such as Pims, provide pre-made cold food, while others, like Alien Pizza Plant, require customers to wait after indicating their arrival. It appears that some restaurants begin cooking the food once the "I am here" button is pressed, while others have it pre-heated. I would prefer to receive hot and freshly prepared food. Examples include Tiana's and Bangle BBQ.

I use the LL for all the rides. That way all the smaller rides are walk on. We get a big ride LL. Then eat shows and shop, etc, until the LL is available. Then we walk on a whole bunch of dmaller rides til big ride time. We are from out of town so needed every second
At DCA we use lightening lane for guardians, web slingers, incredicoaster, grizzly run, soarin and sky school. Anything else we never catch them in.
Me too David, I love the redwood creek, (me and my husband enjoyed it last month) the grizzly river run and soarin area… (it matches with the GCH theme) of course TSI too. I hope they wont replace redwood creek with avatar.

I believe a monstropolis clone would go great over there in the backlot. Could leave monsters inc and monorail and add the new coaster or another related attraction.
i've been on many coaster and other rides , but that ferris wheel in DCA still scares me the most. Maybe because i'm not strapped in ?
It felt like yesterday was a cheat code for single ride RSR. I waited maybe 8 minutes during the day then once the event started it was a walk on. Got in 7 rides total and had to fight myself to not go on it more

Condor Flats is now Grizzly Peak Airfield
1. Avatar would not fit in the area of red creek. It wouldn’t make sense!
2. David when is the last time you rode grizzly river run!???
This is purely a guess but what if they’re doing behind the scenes plumbing work for Avatar land and it is affecting the fountain?
Fresh Baked was monitoring the bathroom closure adjacent to the tiki room. It started quick but was slow to finish.
Then we had monster rain. At one point part of the park was closed for flooding.
Every rehabilitation project since that date shows a lot of green pipes being installed. Those pipes are used for waste water and sewage and run off from rain. So you have seen a lot of digging with heavy equipment. At the same time splash mountain had an increase in grey pipes, electricity. The new animatronics need more steady power to operate the servo motors. That control a very heavy steel skeleton.
10:10 what are the odds the avatar land is a water park???
To whoever suggested that, them not running the fountain is to, “conserve water” makes no sense.. A pump, pumping and recirculating the water from the bottom of the fountain, back up thru the fountain again doesn’t use anymore water than if the water is just sitting at the base of the fountain.. The water doesn’t disappear after it’s went thru the fountain once lol.
If the monorail went through pandora, how would you explain the Mickey art on the monorail. Or if you made it avatar themed how would it now fit into tommorowland

Attendance has been flat for over 3 months. You can personally see what is happening using the many streaming service providers who work the park.
Understand that investors who buy stock are sitting on the fence. There is no doubt they have attendance records of some form. Over the last 6 months Disney Company stock has declined by 19 percent. These are indicators that say all is not well.
Streamers are a great mapping tool as they refresh about every two days.
Where ever you travel from take care.
I just came back from Disneyland and DCA both parks had good attendance. I was expecting it to be less crowded. Still a good time!

Definitely water waste. All the splashing and evaporation does add up.
On the hot days I assume it’s to maintain water pressure elsewhere in the park.

I find it funny that deadpool is criticizing Disney plus when my biggest problem with them is how they spam inappropriate movies like his that do not and should not represent family friendly Disney. He belongs at universal and Disney is only letting him come out to play because it makes them money. Shameless.
Why are they demo ING the Avengers campus? What's going there?
Why doesn't Disney make any new attractions for the little kids in the newer Lands? I really think they could put something in Avengers Campus and Galaxies Edge for small kids. It makes sense to introduce these franchises to them at a young age as well.
You're so right. Tom Sawyer Island seems in peril and meanwhile Universal is putting a Viking training course in the How to Train Your Dragon area of Epic Universe. An Avengers Training Course in Avengers Campus makes so much sense.
In Galaxy's Edge I think they should put a kid's coaster (like Goofy's Flying School) in a Jawa-themed droid factory.

We use LL for little mermaid all the time
with how poorly the parks are being maintained these days I wouldnt doubt that the pumps are just broken in the fountain and, they dont want to spend the money on getting it fixed
Always use fast pass on Little Mermaide and even when we get the extra passes. But we have a 6 year old little girl. If it wasn't her favorite ride - nah.
I know this is a terrible opinion but when people tell me what's the worst land at a Disney park it's Hollywoodland right now because they have 3 things abandoned for no real reason which are Stage 17, Stage 12, and The Hyperion Theater also the other reason why i hate it is that they got rid of Muppet Vision 3-D and replaced it with Mickey's Philharmagic it makes no sense because Muppets made sense in Hollywoodland but Mickey's Philharmagic is not Hollywood related at all sure Monsters Inc Mike and Sully to the rescue makes no sense in putting in Hollywoodland but at least it's a good ride and I'm glad it replaced Superstar Limo which is Disney's worst rides ever so if Avatar does not move were Monsters Inc is then that means Stage 17, Stage 12, and The Hyperion is future expansion so i think the Hyperion Theater, and Stage 12 will be demolished for a Trackless dark ride based on the Muppets the entrance will be the Muppet Theatre from the 2011 Film and Guests will ride on the Electric Mayhem Van and you will travel through The Muppet show Theatre, Hollywood it's self and travel through famous California landmarks with Muppet Slapstick thrown into to it and at the end you find the guest host for the Muppet show and then the attraction ends and then Stage 17 will be a Lucasfilm Diner and Bar it will have a Cantina bar, Characters meet and greets, a arcade
& props from Star Wars and Indiana Jones can be spotted also this idea will bring more attendance to the park

Announced today: Red Car Trolly's will be going away due to the construction of the new Avengers Campus ride construction. Not sure if they will return afterward but, for now, the word is they will close in early 2025.
