The roll of textured wallpaper is for ceilings. You can leave it as is or paint with metallic paint to make it look like the old fashion copper or tin ceilings that were popular in Victorian times.
Rhonda Flesher it's common in the U.K., especially in period properties. As you suggest, it's used on ceilings and also below dado rails to imitate a product called lyncrusta, a highly embossed (and hideously expensive) wall and ceiling covering itself originally designed to imitate expensive tiles and plasterwork.
Not gonna lie. My heart totally sank when you spray painted that mid century magazine rack but that wallpaper is gorgeous 😍 I covered my drawer fronts with a similar one
I have that wallpaper & love it! It was less than $ .40 per sqft home depot about a year ago. Google " Textured wallpaper Grahm Brown small squares" it should come up. I would add a link but sometimes those comments get marked as spam.
I love the footstool, however, I would have stained the center as well, but that's just my opinion. It still looks great the way it is. The other one are fabulous.
Couple tips for spray painting: Do it in long light strokes instead of focusing one spot Give it 2 or 3 layers Finish it with a layer or two of clear coat, applied the same way
You're both the best. Literally my favourite interior designers of 21st century. This is the Future !!!! So happy to see you both going from strength to strength and influencing so many people to be better at utilising the old and the new at affordable prices for a fabulous aesthetic.
SERIOUSLY WHAT ARE THE FREAKING CHANCES?! The world needed y'all two to meet..... I know I needed it. Honestly lowkey wanna think y'all staged this whole thing. I think you and Macanna have done an excellent job in recreating the wooden table. The brown leather looks so much better than green. I like the wallpaper for the jewelry box. You two have given me an idea to do a project with this kind of wallpaper. Magazine holder, just a beautiful creation. How do you come up with such unbelievable ideas. Great video. Thanks again.
oh my god. I love you both separately. I love you both together. I love all of your videos... and this video just topped it all, super amazing thrift flips and totally modern and luxurious feels!!!
Hello from Dallas. It’s good to have friends. What an unlikely couple, yet you’re really charming together! Love it and so excited for your brand new feeling.
@ 8:51 love the "Anaglypta Paper" which gives that tin ceiling tile look and can be painted and distressed ...I have used this for book covers and journaling..I love vintage wallpaper samples for this as well! I love the box you did!!
Love these projects, the footstool was my favorite. I wonder what the lamp would’ve looked like if you used your gold liquid leaf paint on the detailing.
Woah. These turned out amazing. I've been trying to figure out how to cover a wooden box but this gave me the idea I needed. The lamp wasn't my style but you definitely improved it.
The stool is FANTASTIC!!! Another option would be to leave the original woven material on for strength. Then cut a solid/one piece of faux leather and just upholster right over the top. That would create a more modern option depending on someone's personal style. Or even a faux hide or fur if you want a glam look. Soooooo many options for that stool! Also, I wanted that brass/glass table!!!! I was seeing it with the top off and a pot sitting in the middle as a plant stand! It would be similar to the copper pipe one McKenna made. 👍
I loved the bench the way that it was but it does look so much better and richer after your touch. That lamp is gorgeous!!! Great idea for the wooden box....I love it!!! Awesome ideas!!! Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
OMG! Y'all are so CUTE! I'm here from XO's page. New friends are such joys. I lost my very good friend just over a year ago. The way you two just break into laughter, reminded me of him. Thank you so much! And keep up the fun vibe!
Omg that lamp turned out gorgeous!!! I love when I find the simplest piece and all I have to do is spray paint! I'm snatching up one of those black hoodies too!!💋❤
HATED the lamp before but when you spray painted it I was blown away! Also, I think the jewelry box was so cute! For myself I would have finished the edges but it turned out lovely!
I like the magazine rack. The white rope is a tad stark....immerse it in coffee for an aged look. We used to make "vintage" maps at school and would dip the edges in coffee to give it an aged look. Love your work.
I love that lamp and I want to find a similar one and spray the shade the darkest metallic gold I could find and sand some of the edges for a rough barnyard finish omg I’m drilling over that 🤤
Omg! I have been looking, with no luck, for a box to put on my coffee table! Now I can use your ideas to make a really unique one! I love your other crafts too. So beautiful! You guys are awesome!
I loved the woven pleather. It looks luxurious. I might have used black, but the brown is pretty, too. I was frankly amazed at how great that lamp turned out. I would have definitely missed that gem because it looked so awful in the store. You have a great eye for finding things that will look 100% better after you flip them.
It's funny, cause I was already subscribed to both of you, but I am so happy we got this collab from you guys! Also, you guys look and sound like you could be fraternal twins in this video! Lol
U guys rock 🤘 Appreciate the teamwork! Complimenting each others strengths and weaknesses to fill the gaps adds an immeasurable amount of value. Amazing things are sure to come from the two of u not only individually, but collectively as well. Cant wait to see what's next! 🙌✌💜
I'm old enough to be your mom (or even a young-ish grandmom) but you two are so delightful and so stinkin' cute and adorable! I can't believe you just met b/c you are already finishing each other's sentences! Your flips and thrifts and hacks are so much fun, and at the same time, relaxing to watch! I imagine I'll be seeing you on HGTV with your own show very soon! :) XO
I had this video pop up in my TH-cam thread, and I have to say, you've both got yourselves a new subscriber! I love the interplay between the two of you, and I really like the items that you flipped in each video. You've definitely given me some ideas for Christmas presents for friends and family. Can't wait to see what comes next. Oh, and I'm going to have to check out your back catalogues...
LOVE LOVE LOVE ALL OF THIS! I saw a diy woven pleather bench a few months back. I bought the material and never did it! I’m gettin on it now! Thanks for the inspiration re-up!!!! Love you guys together! And that white lamp!!!!😍
Thanks for the great ideas.. Btw I have the same seat stool and I'm going to recover it by using old men's belts in black I found in a Salvation Army 👍
Great idea! Except make sure the leather is cleaned, conditioned, protected and then applied. When leather gets old and has not been taken care of it tends to be over wrinkled (dehydrated) and will break or even worse get even more warped. After it’s been cleaned and conditioned then allow the moisture to revive the leather before using as fabric. My uncle used to shine his shoes religiously on Sundays and all my veteran friends have told me leather care and ironing your shirt in 30 secs is the most important deportment habit anyone can have. Also I work in a men’s shoe and leather good store. The first step we learn about leather is care! Especially for good quality leather (European calf skin which is a little tougher, Italian supple not as resilient as over time unless properly taken care of, Brazilian/ Argentinian incredibly soft but resilient and holds its shape well). Indian leather is neither here or there but better than American leather. Any leather actually produced in China does not break in evenly much less lasts longer than 1.5 year w/repeated wear. Since it’s belts they will have have a warp make sure they warp similarly as well as be similar kind of leather otherwise it might look tacky.
I love the way that all items came out especially the last one and the first one. I liked the wallpaper that you purchased. Great job with all projects. Cute dog.
😍😍😍 The wallpaper is from Home Depot and is pretty inexpensive brand new too! If you google "Graham & Brown Small Squares Wallpaper" it should pop up in a google search. .... I love what y'all did with everything!
I’ve actually been looking for the perfect jewelry box for such a long time and I haven’t been able to find the one I had in my mind. Do you think you’d be open to selling that one?
I would love to see you both do more co labs. You both look great and work awesome together. Maybe you can have a thrift showdown or something. It would really be AWESOME to see.
I love these ideas. One optional suggestion for the lamp is to use Valspar Antiquing Glaze in the detailed areas. You would have to seal the spray paint first but I think it would add a little dimension. I absolutely adore both of your channels!!! 🥰
Oh Wow!! totally loved all of the thrifted things, I can't pick a favorite cause they all turned out amazing. Now I'm heading to Macenna's channel to check out what you guys did there. Thanks so much Drew for sharing, this was a super fun one.
The anaglypta wallpaper used for the little box is used in room makeovers because its thick textured surface helps hide defects in walls. Used a simalar pattern 30 years ago under the chair rail in my kitchen. The cool thing you might not know is that it is paintable...actually, you are suppsed to paint it.

it"s called anaglypta.
@@stacianeale7117 yep, I thought this too from a UK viewer. Looks great on the box
No wallpaper on the ceilings it is a pain to deal with. Anaglyphtic wallpaper goes on on walls.
Not gonna lie. My heart totally sank when you spray painted that mid century magazine rack but that wallpaper is gorgeous 😍 I covered my drawer fronts with a similar one
Had SOOOOOOO much FUN making these!!!! 😘😘😘 love you
I love your videos!💕
So glad u two neighbors found each other. Netflix needs u two
I follow you both and now you two together it’s like twice as good!!!
Thank you 😊

These two together!!
🤗💖!!
I neeeed that wallpaper jewelry box in my life!!
Yes I need it too
I have that wallpaper & love it! It was less than $ .40 per sqft home depot about a year ago. Google " Textured wallpaper Grahm Brown small squares" it should come up. I would add a link but sometimes those comments get marked as spam.
its so bomb
me too! It's so beautiful 😍😍
You can buy the same wallpaper roll in home
Depot. Sometimes they sell it cheaper because it’s 1 or 2 left only it’s been there for a while
I think that thing you found is a vintage seed planter!
😲 That's so crazy!!! I went down to the comments to see if anyone identified it, but I would have never thought of that 😂
We have one and use it to plant corn.
Yes! I was going to comment that!
I was gonna say that! It’s cool!
I thought it was for digging holes and planting bulbs
I love the footstool, however, I would have stained the center as well, but that's just my opinion. It still looks great the way it is. The other one are fabulous.
Also burnishing the edges of the pleather would've really elevated it :)
Such a wonderful piece now, but agree the top corner edges should have been stained as well.
Rebecca Downey Great idea! What product would you use?
You guys need to make a show together. It was so fun watching you both together! Your chemistry is great!
Couple tips for spray painting:
Do it in long light strokes instead of focusing one spot
Give it 2 or 3 layers
Finish it with a layer or two of clear coat, applied the same way
step one: have good thrift stores
You can find good stuff anywhere....
Chandra Cox I can promise you that you cannot find good stuff in Mulberry, Arkansas
Entire UK immediately taps out 😂
IKR!
For real though. 😂 My thrift shops include stained NASCAR t shirts, botched attempts at DIY projects, and awful clown figurines. 😂
No way, love the thrifted lamp, it looks so much better in white with the white shade.
You're both the best. Literally my favourite interior designers of 21st century. This is the Future !!!! So happy to see you both going from strength to strength and influencing so many people to be better at utilising the old and the new at affordable prices for a fabulous aesthetic.
I would have wrapped the cording around handle so it could still be functional
yes, that makeover was lame
CreativeGirl please be nice, even if you don’t like it, there is no reason to call it, “lame”
@@akagrimreaper6702 "lame" was being nice. It's actually butt-ugly, horrendous and stupid decision making.

Love that you teamed up for this video! That lamp! And anything done with anaglypta wallpaper! ( That stuff is paint-able too!) Love love love!
HGTV should be calling you two for your own show. Perfect combination of talent, knowledge and fun!
It all looks great, but I would have left the handle on the magazine rack. It would have looked much better in black, and it was functional!
I agree. Sometimes less is more.
Yup, that rope just didn’t fit it. It was a weird addition. If they hated the ridges they could have just sanded it flat then painted it black.
I think you and Macanna have done an excellent job in recreating the wooden table. The brown leather looks so much better than green. I like the wallpaper for the jewelry box. You guys scored majorly on that wallpaper. And I absolutely adore the projects
Serious friendship goals 💕 and the gushing over the doggo is so relatable 😸 thrift, diy, play with animals, rinse and repeat.
Darling that’s a corn planter that’s how corn was planted way back when.
the white lamp is stunning! a black shade would also look great just to contrast with it more. love all of these thanks for inspiring
