Hey Guys!! I spent the past week in Texas for the holiday and we shopped at so many great thrift stores in the San Antonio area! All 3 of my thrift flips today cost under $30!! WOW!

I would just burn some cone incense since that little bowl was made to be an incense burner.
Could also hang from ceiling in open space, away from the wall (will have to hide or decorate the tassel knot)
The silverplate ‘trays’ were holders for glass casserole dishes back when fancy serving was more common.

I was about to say that too. My mom has lots of those. We would use them when we have dinner parties at home.

I HAVE A AWESOME TIP 😁. I purchased a round turn table, I use it to paint all my projects. Instead of touching whatever I’m painting, I can just spin the turn table and keep spraying paint, or brushing. It’s so helpful. Bought mine at yard sale for $2.00

The traveling jewelry case is genius. Good for anybody on the go or girls who don't have a ton of space but have really good pieces you don't want to just have thrown in your jewelry box.

@@DJoy222 Have you tried the Salvation Army? They usually have a great selection of baskets and wood items. 😰 The glass is ridiculous😉
@@londonthompson9730 I need to research if there are any close to where we live now in NC. All that I've seen near me (or found online) are GFCs and they are not the greatest. One small wall of home goods in the back (and the selection is poor) and the clothing is by color and not type so you can't find anything easily, no textiles nicely displayed, only piled up in pallets that make you icky to think of going through etc. 😬
@@DJoy222 I'm in NC too! If you happen to be around Wilson, there's a place called the Rummage Warehouse that has great odds and ends and a wonderful selection of furniture. Not too many/good clothes though.
My daughter lives in San Antonio and we haven’t had good success with the thrift stores there. But Austin has fantastic Goodwills!

The silver items you thought were trays without bottoms...are actually casserole holders that go right to the table. Nice job!!!

Loved all 3 DIY's!! One suggestion for the jewelry holder: Glue a piece of lightweight fabric, the same size as the planner, to the inside across the top of the earring side. You can then bring it down to cover the earrings so the necklaces and the earrings don't get tangled together.
I really love the jewelry case! U could even use it in the home for small spaces or minimalist design

Wow, McKenna...ANOTHER GORGEOUS HANGING LIGHT! I LOVE IT! The round tray thing with handles turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Great design! Hanging it against brick/stone was a good idea. Love the yarn & bead tassel! Excellent addition to it! BTW, those tray things are made to hold casserole dishes. It eliminates the need for a trivet or pot holder under the dish, helps hold it still while serving, is much easier to carry a hot dish from counter to table, PLUS it just LOOKS FANCIER! 😃 Great job on THAT flip, too! (I hope you got those slide carousel trays to teach your friends how to make lamps!) The jewelry holder turned out very nicely!!

I really wasn't feeling it when I saw the bright white tassel on that tray but then you added the beads and suddenly it looked so perfect together?? I love all of these they're so creative and they all came out looking amazing!
I just loved all of these. I was surprised I liked the chafing dish sconce, but it turned out so nice! The tarnish totally works as a design element this way, especially with the antiqued candle cup inside and the beads pulled the whole thing together. I adore that basket pendant lamp and I think it turned out great!

So good! Lamp is brilliant. I kinda wanted a round mirror behind the candle holder and a strap to keep jewelry case closed, but they're also great as is and so clever.
Just found your channel but absolutely loving the things you come up with! I’ve seen a lot of youtubers do the same DIYS over and over. You’re so original! Also love that you try not to sew if possible. It’s such a hassle and not everyone knows how.
That pendant light is amazing, that would work with basket that don't match as well. I've made a couple from wire baskets I've found at Walmart on clearance, so fun!

The metal tray-like things you found are to hold glass Pyrex baking dishes. They are used for placing the hot dish on the table so it’s raised off of the surface for serving
I am telling my age as I had various silver plated trays myself and used them for many parties back in the day. And you’re right, I see at least One in every thrift store I’ve been in - My Point is I have racked my brain also trying to figure out something, and here we are with You making such an adorable candle holder. The 3-tiered rattan basket light would also be lovely with attached jewels or beads dangling from the bottom edge, or all three tiers.

*Love, Love, LOVE* your light basket thrift flip! The candle "sconce" flip (with the decorative steel casserole dish holder) is cool, it would also make a really awesome base (meaning start for the top) for a hanging light pendant as well, maybe with some hanging crystals?! 💗❤💗

I like the candle holder but my first thought when I saw it in the Goodwill was mirror on the wall by adding round mirror to the bottom of the tray. 😊❤️❤️❤️

You can always spray paint the light cord... Gold to match the wire would be lovely, or black. I saw it done on the green Christmas light strings. I thought it was genius, since you can get Christmas lights for much cheaper than ones sold with black and for rooms. With the planner turned jewelry case, I get why some people would want a zipper, but I have a few where there is a lovely ribbon that is used to tie and keep it closed.That would be easier and quicker. Granted, not help if an earring came loose. Could've also made everything more secure by getting those snaps and rivets etc, putting them all in place before gluing the main fabric on the inside down. With just gluing all the pieces down, means many accidental "breaks". With the snaps being in the fabric on both sides means you could unsnap one side to put earrings on completely, or just one side... Making it easier to get them on and off. Same with rings and bracelets. Just something for others to keep in mind. Half "thinking out loud" because I think it's an AMAZING idea to begin with.
The light is beyond brilliant! These are over a 100 bucks on line. You have me a hunt now. ❤
