    I believe I am a soft classic and I totally agree with your assessment. I am always instinctively watching people’s non verbal cues. I also tend to be overly sensitive to the mood of others. Great job! I’m looking forward to learning about gamines. Of all the types they are the hardest for me to classify.

    This was so lovely. I'm almost sure im a soft classic and this really resonated with me. I really agree about the extreme expressiveness of our time and that it can seem as if, in order to be "interesting" or "unique", one is required to act exagerated. It was so nice to be reminded that one does not have to act in this certain exagerated way, in order to be acceptable or good enough - that there really are different kinds of beauty, not only in the physical bodies and faces, but also in the different ways of being and acting

So the physical body type - 5’5”, nearly exact proportions, very balanced facial features, always look better when toned down, minimal patterns and colors - is matching the personality and presentation.

    I feel like the Classics are the easiest to spot in person or even on video because as you say, they just overall give such a "poised" vibe. This might be why Kibbe says it's not possible to type someone from pictures only... They just don't say the whole story about your ID. I'd say even in film roles it could be tricky to type someone accurately because they might consciously project a completely different image. I haven't been able to type myself definitively yet and I think one of the reason is that I don't have that many videos of myself and I can't really tell what my outward "vibe" is.

    • @thealignedlover
      @thealignedlover 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally! Posed photos can be so deceptive! I would say that if you don't have too many videos of yourself, try to see how you come across on forums, on the phone, at the cash register when you order something...those can be great hints :)

    Hi, I'm from Germany, love your descriptions!!! I think I'm a Soft Classic and now I'm 51 and at last understanding my type. I never in my life wanted to be soft, gentle, romantic, smooth, fleshy. So I made a lot of sports but didn't get this muscular type, bought moto jackets, edgy boots, simple cotton shirts, short hairs, tried to be expressive or dramatic or edgy and always failed my type, since I had a professional style consultation a few years ago. At the first time I was very disappointed because I was characterized as a true autumn and classic-feminine and not as an X or H. Nothing of my clothes was classic-feminine and everything was in the cold colour palette. Step by step I changed my clothes because I looked so much better in other stuff. But until today it is hard for me to wear the expressive colours of my palette. Feels not right for me. What about to do?
    Normally I like to watch people from the background, I'm diplomatic and like to talk with one person which I focus on. Soft people don't get many attention in our loud world, I always had problems with dating and flirting when I was together with more expressive girlfriends.
    I'm a psychotherapist in a clinic and it is very exhausting for me to act in therapy groups or to give a lecture for many people because I have to focus on many people. In the autogenic training my patients fall asleep after 5 minutes because of my soft and smooth voice, lol. So, Kibbe helps me to accept my body type, my character and temperament. And that I can't work against it. Good bye muscular type and moto jackets!!!

    It seems as if appearance is just a physical extention of the mind. A representation of the brain. And that’s so f*cking amazing.
    To everyone interested in MTBI, mannerisms and Kibbe and how they interact..... I’m about to talk about evolution. Do you think the same as I do?
    We’re often attracted to people that reassembles ourselves. I’m talking in every way. Personality wise and physically. No wonder long-term couples look like twins, and that friends tend to look a little bit alike. The more alike, the easier it is to understand each other = Great relationship
    So why do we seek similar people? To get healthier offspring and to find a mate that we can stay with longer and thus reproducing with higher chances of lots of healthy babies? Maybe? I don’t know.
    I mean the easier the communication, the more successful of a relationship, right? And maybe more important: Similarities probably give physically healthier offspring, why would we otherwise like our own types? So I’m sure there are survival advantages.
    when you meet someone new, you don’t have a lot to go on... would we even fit together? Do I like them? Do we think similarly? Would our children be healthy?
    I mean... it would make sense, then, evolutionary, if people could look at someone and see what’s going on inside their brains, to see what kind of person they’re actually mating with (lol). We already know that facial symmetry for example, is a trait that signifies wellbeing and health
    And... could it be that our DNA generates certain types of brains with certain personality traits and cognitive functions... and then together with that comes a certain physical appearance? Sounds probable to me at least 😅
    And maybe then... we as humans are programmed to ”read” the physical traits to understand more about a potential partners DNA?
    Actually, there have been research made on the connection between 3 personality traits, and facial features. Turns out you can evaluate a persons traits based on their faces. (in this case they studied agreeableness, openness and concientiousness)
    Interesting, huh? 😀

      Yesss, all of these points are so interesting and are constantly on my mind as well! There is such a "fractal" nature to all creatures, I think. I've read about hormone dominance and physical features, I think I will have to obsess over that in future videos :)

  • @drinkmewonder7536
    @drinkmewonder7536 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I’ve been between SN or SC for myself, veering more towards SN since I’ve seen myself as wide and blunt. Then I’ve realised a lot of my width is from my flesh, my curves, and my “blunt” nose is actually rounded on the tip and not as dominant on myself as I thought. I’ve had some people suggest SC for me in terms of having a balanced bone structure but soft Yin flesh, with a harmonious ladylike gentle demeanour.
    So I watched this video along with the SN for comparison and I can see more of my mannerisms in this video than the SN one.

    I really thought I was a soft classic until I watched this. :) My movement puts me more at a romantic, and I was torn between the two, but then I picked soft classic because I'm moderate height and size. My arms and legs are slightly short for my body though, and I have an hourglass figure with a noticeably smaller waist. I have a more flowing movement and have been told by several people that I glide when I walk. My husband tells me that he'd be missing half of my stories if he didn't see all my hand movements, definitely not contained like soft classic. I think you have to differ between body type and character. For example I don’t agree, that a soft classic has to be very observant in a conservation or absorb everything. This has something to do with the character and certainly with every kibbe body type there are good and bad listeners, people who can make eye contact and people who don’t.

    • @thealignedlover
      @thealignedlover 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely there is a difference and type does not equal persona. I made this series to note possible shared gestures that softly align with the persona descriptions discussed in Metamorphosis.

  • @Shinibo

    I am not sure if you can generalize behavior from a body type, even though its an interesting idea. For example the youtuber Ellie-Jean Royden is a soft classic, but in her videos I think she speaks in a quite reactive and animated way, not so much going inward or phrasing things very carefully, but of course it could be because she is putting on an act for the camera in order to be interesting for the viewer. I probably also think personality/energy type has bigger importance than body type when it comes to mannerisms. For example if you know about Carol Tuttle's energy types, a type 2 would probably be the most graceful and diplomatic type. But I am probably a Soft Classic myself and have been called gentle and diplomatic by others, so it's hard to say if there is a truth in your theory.. Again this is not a critisism of your video, just me sharing my thoughts :)

    • @thealignedlover

For example I think both Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are type 1/Sanguine temperament, but Taylor Swift definitely carried herself with more control and stiffness than Katy Perry who is very expressive and fluid in her mannerisms. So interesting how a body type affects the way we move and speak. So to comment on your video series I think you are on to something 🙈👏
