This is a NEW Minecraft 1.19.2 plugin tutorial. In todays video I'm going to show you how to add Ranks/Groups and Permissions to your Minecraft Server using LuckPerms. You need EssentialsChat and Vault, also add a Prefix to the group

amazing tutorial KasaiSora! i watch lots and lots of videos of your channel. im building my server thanks to you. but now im stuck in the permissions to user kits. im just using essentials with luckyperms and would like to only X group use X kit and Y group use Y kit. i try many ways, goole, etc but not working. i have vault installed too... but kits only works with: op mode or when users are in creative mode... do you have any idea what im doing wrong?
I have all of the plugins installed, but the prefix still doesn't work for me. I ran /lp user parent set {ign} and it worked but the prefix wouldn't appear. I only have the red name from essentials. Do you know why?

Do I need the vault api to show prefix?
Vault api is only supported up to 1.17 but my server is running 1.20

This is really simple and even more useful.
Would anyone be willing to give me some advice? The tutorial is very clear and helps me get most things set up, but the issue I am having is that I want default players to be able to query for gametime. The luckperms command to set this up is (or at least should be) command.time.query.gametime, but this doesn't register in the game itself. The only one that does register is command.time but this allows players to change the time of day as well as the previous portion which I don't want them to do. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Nevermind, apparently you need the base command as one line and to set the other categories as false to fix it. I am still gonna leave this comment here to help anyone who is confused setting it up.

if i take away my OP and apply myself to the owner group i created i dont have all the perms i added. and the name i chose is not displayed in chat. basically it doesnt work. i looked through your tutorial multiple times but i couldnt spot out a mistake it makes no sense. i checked various times that im inside the group aswell idk what to do
Hello Daemon! I think if you run a command /lp editor, open it, click groups and then the selected rank, make sure to click ADD, after adding your PERMS and click SAVE. Which will give you a link which you need to copy and paste on the server to make the edits allowed. If it didn't work, I suggest you delete the rank, make a new one, register this command /lp group owner meta addprefix 100 "&3&lOWNER&f " for the rank (chat), and /lp group owner meta setprefix 100 "&3&lOWNER&f " for the nametag rank! And follow the steps I told you! Hope it helps.❤

Hey Kasai! I have a problem that I can't seem to fix. Whenever I join my server with luck perms, essentials chat and a tablist to display our ranks. My rank is always at the bottom. I have set the weight to highest and it didn't work. Can you help me?

meta.default.true isn’t needed on the default group, it actually messed me up when I created additional groups which inherited permissions from default as they also inherited meta.default.true meaning every group thought it was default.
i don't know if you still read comments, do you know what site you used to make the colors you did in this video? (gold, etc.)
Can I add plugins if I am an operator? Or does the server owner only get access to adding plugins?
Operators can’t add plugins. Only people that have access to the machine where your server is hosted can. You can’t install plugin in-game

That doesn’t seem like a LuckPerms thing. If you can’t break or place anything, you might have another plugin that prevents that. LuckPerms doesn’t prevent you from building.

When I downloaded all the plugins, I didn’t/plugins and it says command doesn’t exist. Also there is no command as /ip editor
/lp editor should work. If it doesn’t, execute another command first. Like /lp list or anything else. Then try again. There is a bug in LuckPerms that makes /lp editor sometimes not work the first time

Whenever I add a prefix it looks like "[Member] member". I only want the prefix to show and not the group name and not the world name. and the "g" aswell.
for some reason, it wont allow me to do any of the commands i ''allow'' that rank/parent to have. i try to run essentialcommands with it but it just messes it all up, and made sure to put it to true value aswell, but on my server nothing helps

I’ve heard more people having this problem. You can fix it by first execution another LuckPerms command. Like for example /lp user [username] parent set owner. Then after, try again. It should work now :)

I fully undertsood the tutorial and i wont doubt that it doesnt work but i just have one samll problem that is when i strat the editor and i search for "essentials" it will sho me some commands but not all of them. As an example i will get the sethome and home but the delhome wont show up. Problem is that its for most of them.

Weight is working, the sorting in your tab list as nothing to do with the weight. If you want the tablist to sort properly per rank, I would recommend installing TAB :)

my Problem is , if i'm alone on the server i see the group's (player,admin) but i some one joint the server i dont see it more in the TAP
so i got Luckperms, and grief prevention plugin successfully installed on the server, but /plugins tells me i dont have perms to use that command. even after i op myself.
seem you missed a step, maybe.
you have to enter a command in the console before you are even able to use the lp editor command
Hey Kasaisora, I love your videos and they've really helped me alot on my server. But there is one thing I just found out. I have a big room with many /give commandblocks that give me many different armors and so on. When I tried klicking the button, it didn't do anything. I found out it is because EssentialsX replaces the commands with theirs. I do not know how to edit an Itemname, lore, enchant etc. anymore. Do you have any idea what could help here? Maybe there is a plugin for both. idk :/

If you want the command to be Minecraft's instead of essentials, add minecraft: before the command.
Example:
/minecraft:give @p command_block

It might not be supposed anymore, 1.8.8 is a really old version, released in 2015.
@@KasaiSora i figured it out, also, my server is not starting, i didn't even installed any other plugins, it was running and then, when i left and rejoined, id didn't let me in, it said " [LP] there was a problem loading permissions, please wait and if you are an admin the check console for errors"

Weird. Maybe you’re not using an up-to-date version of LuckPerms?

That’s because every plugin has different commands and different permissions. It’s impossible to show all specific cases, the video would be endless. If you want to give players access to certain EssentialsX commands, you have to look for EssentialsX’s permission list and see which permissions give access to which commands.
