Fun Japanese Confederate fact! The CSS Stonewall was an ironclad commissioned by the Confederate Navy in 1865. Sadly, she never ended up seeing service, as the war ended shortly thereafter. She was sold to the Tokugawa Shogunate who renamed her Kōtetsu, and finally ended up in the hands of the Imperial government. She played a major role in several naval battles during the Boshin War and the Meiji Restoration. She served the Japanese government faithfully for several decades, before finally being laid to rest in 1888.

Imagine being the ghost of a Confederate veteran in Heaven, looking at your battle hymns beautifully sung by a machine representation of cute Japanese girls, over 150 years later, for the entire world to instantly listen to on magic electric boxes. What a time to be alive.
CSN Captain Junichiro Hendrickson (formelry Josiah Hendriskson) built a minka style house on his Georgia property. All his house slaves were made to wear kimonos, and the females had to dress as geishas. He taught his slaves how to sing many traditional Southern songs in both English and Japanese. This song was his favorite while drinking green tea in the evening. Cpt. Hendrickson's fascination with Japanese culture came during his time with Comodore Perry, and being one of the first Americans to enter the mysterious eastern country. Because of the Union blockade, Junichiro found little work as a seaman, so he helped out on land any way he could. When General Sherman came to his plantation, Hendrickson brandished his katana and attempted a samurai charge, where he met his end by 50 yankee guns.
Back in the 17th century, there was a short war in Japan called the Shimabara Rebellion which was fought between Catholic samurai against the anti-Christian Shogunate government. Best part, It was located in the *south* of Japan.

I will listen to anything while I am baked out of my mind at 3 AM
I beg of you, please do a Southern Soldier cover!
oh yes
The Japanese AI girls do really well with Confederate songs!
When the Bakufu gets southern veterans to volunteer in its army
babe wake up, another banger dropped
Try 'Rhodesians Never Die' and 'Battle Cry of Freedom (Confederate Version)' next.
Thank you for the song. I love kiritan and all the Tohokus. The south will rise again.
I can't believe there are Japanese dubbings of American Civil War songs. Can't wait for Linked Horizon, the band who plays some of Attack On Titan's intros and outros, to do Battle Hymn of the Republic. It's going to awesome, at least on paper.
@nevergivein さん、次のビデオのために、フランシス・スコット・キーのアメリカ国歌「星条旗」の歌詞付きの日本語バージョンを作ってくれませんか?私は本当にそれを聞きたいです! 🙏🙇♂️
Long may she Reign. Bless the Bonnie blue flag
This is the singular most based channel and comment section I've ever seen
I legit can’t stop listening to this song and the Dixie song. 😅
They’re both just too good.
I always wanted to wright an epic novel about a Tokugawa Samuri who goes to fight for the Confederacy !!!
