As an Indonesian, the Japanese really made me patriotic for the Confederacy. Also, hearing that rendition of Oh My Darling Clementine reminded me of a children song we Indonesians have. Turns out the music really IS the same, just with different lyrics. Really funny how it's used in two completely different parts of the world, in different context as well.
My father is a big Civil War buff and he often listened to Civil War songs such as this in the car; brings back nostalgic memories but with an anime twist. Thank you for these!

Imagine an anime about a Confederate regiment being sent back to fight in Sengoku-era Japan. Who would they align with? What would they think of the three Unifiers? Great rendition. You keep making these CSA remixes, I'll keep liking them.
I know. Most folks equate the "Rebel" flag with the CSA, but there were a few "national" flags. I'm not sure a single one was ever THE national flag, but this one seems to be the most accepted one. BTW, I've also heard Stars and Bars in reference to the "Rebel" flag. Wasn't IT derived from the Virginia battle flag?
@Felicia Pate The Stars and Bars was the first national flag but turned out to not be a good flag in the battlefield due to it looking too similar to the stars and Stripes. They then changed it to the stainless banner. Just a rebel jack on a white banner. This too proved to not be a good flag on the battlefield because it would sometimes resemble the flag of truce. Then the final flag, the blood stained banner was made. It's exactly like the stainless one only with a red line at the end. The commonly perceived rebel flag is indeed the battle flag of Northern virgina

She’s the sweetest rose of color this soldier ever knew Her eyes are bright as diamonds they sparkle like the dew You can talk about your dearest May and sing of Rosalie but the Yellow Rose of Texas beats the belles of Tennessee!
For anyone who doesn’t know, the og lyrics were “she’s the sweetest rose of color”. As the soldier has a gf or wife who is black. But bc the song was well from Texas, a confederate state, many didn’t like that it mentioned a person of color. So it was changed to “Sweetest little rose bud”. My family fought in the Texas revolution against Mexico, been here since the very beginning of Texas :)
The people of the Lone Star state now recognize you as an honorary Texan. Keep the great work.

“The Yellow Rose of Texas”
1.
〈Solo〉
〈Chorus〉
2.
〈Solo〉
〈Chorus〉
3.
〈Solo〉
〈Chorus〉
4.
〈Solo〉
〈Chorus〉
