That color of wrap looks like it would be a perfect match for my 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 which (Ford says) is midnight blue. My hood needs repainting but I'd rather just wrap it. It looks like the 3M 2080 gloss still has a bit of an orange peel problem but we're talking about a 20 year old Ford Focus. :-) Maybe I should go with the carbon fiber wrap? That's good for 10 horsepower, so they say. :-)

Is it just me or is the fender painted with a different shade of white than the bumper @0:05?

Bumpers are almost always a little off because they are painted at a different time than the rest of the car. It is super common. After you start looking you'll see it on almost all cars :)

@@OCDetailing Another issue is the substrate being painted. The vinyl plastic bumper covers often look different than the adjoining steel panels, even if they are painted with the same paint and same time. It was something I found out with my son's car. Paint on vinyl/plastic dries at a different rate than on steel, if you have metal flake in the paint, the flake will lay down more, the longer the paint remains fluid, therefore when the pearlescent flakes are more raised and not as uniform on the part that dries more quickly, the light reflects differently on the simultaneously painted body components.

Strange choice of color, with all the options available in vinyl this is too close to black looking. At least in video. I appreciate the light subtlety but yea..chrome flip or bust. Lol
