Keyshawn spent the whole season laughing and talking about how bad the Cowboys are, but when Skip suggests the team make changes, he calls Skip crazy.
He calls him crazy because there’s no answer to a replacement. Giving Rush/Lance a chance is high risk low reward kind of deal. Dak is a High risk/High reward during the season. Nobody who argues Dak has to go has said who we can replace him with
theres nothing wrong with wanting to replace dak, but skips replacements make no sense, trey lance is not the answer, and signing another guy is getting worse at QB
I'd use Dak for the regular season record then make a power move and bench him come playoff time for Rush or Lance

Dak is fine against bottom tier teams. But he’s proven 5 years in a row that he cannot get it done in the playoffs. At some point you need to move on and at least try to find something that works better. Give Lance a chance.
If you take a look at their schedule for next year you are going to see that the Cowboys aren't even going to make the playoffs at all. They'll go 6-11 or 7-10 if they're lucky. They have a real schedule this next season. With a lot more good teams that will beat the brakes off the Cowboys and expose them for the paper tiger stat frauds that they are. Because there isn't a plethora of 2-15 teams to play next season to hide the fact that they suck. lol

The Cowboys were very foolish to resign Dak 3 years ago. They passed on many QB's during that time and haven't even drafted a QB. He is not hard to replace. Kirk Cousins is available and him and Dak are the same.

Dak doesn't get an extra 18mil. The cap gets 18mil relief. They turn 18mil of Dak's base to bonus. Dak still gets 29mil and a 5 mil roster bonus. 34 total. Keyshawn is mixed up with cash vs cap.

This is not true...they can extend Micah and CeeDee even with Pickscotts cap number because that salary and cap number wont hit until the extension kicks in at the end of their rookie deals. Parsons hasn't played well past October for a single season so he really hasn't earned a new contract yet. Play for your 4 mil until you show you can play all 17 games at a high level

This was an interesting discussion between Key and Skip. There are pluses and minuses to extending Dak and pluses and minuses to releasing Dak, and the pluses and minuses for both decisions are quite even, IMHO. It’s tough. I see Skip’s point, however . . . the grass is always greener on the other side. Release Dak & replace him with WHO exactly? An unproven Trey Lance? Dak proved to be a Top 3 QB in the the NFC these last 3 years, and led the league in MVP voting at one point earlier this past season. Getting to the playoffs is 75% of the battle. And Dak has proven time and again he is “good enough” to lead the Cowboys to the playoffs the majority of seasons. Just because the 49ers stepped in horse manure with Brock Purdy doesn’t mean that kind of thing is going to happen to YOUR team. Look at about ten NFL teams who’ve NEVER had their All-Pro franchise QB going back decades. They are:
1. Bears
2. Dolphins (it’s been 24 yrs
since Marino, and some
would argue “Tua ain’t it”).
3. Jets (yes, they now have
AROD, but the dude is 40).
4. Titans - it’s been over 20 yrs
since Steve McNair.
5. Falcons - Matt Ryan was
