First of all we should make auction of PMC but unfortunately nobody will be there to buy it.....the pmc don't have any vision, future planning and capacity to handle current scenario and courage to take action... project have been delayed more than decades. We pay heavy taxes but still we face potholes in every feet, traffic jam of long hours.... Some time its feel that the lobby of builders and system are forcing us to live a life like millions of fishes in small pond..... jaago pmc jaago

Too fast extensions of metro lines could be disastrous in the future. There is a need of sustainable development. Underground metros is the perfect solution for very long term but they just do not want to do it.
Of course, it is costly. New york city subway system is more than 100 years old and its still works like magic. Elevated metro would never have that much life as an underground metro would have. Also, underground has many advantages like no land acquisition delays, little to no interference with the road traffic, etc. Fully underground metro network would be easy to expand as well and it could reach to every corner of the city. It would cost a lot but it will be a permanent solution to transportation and traffic problems. Also , once assembled and started ,tunnel boring machines are not as complex as pillar erection and girder installation.

It's been two decades that pmc is only acquiring or adopting many village in the name of development but thing are different on paper and in reality, they are just allowing more and more builders do construction and spread water, air and sound pollution,there are no better road, connectivity,garbage issues on roads, the rivers and canals have become dirty nallahs which has reached a point that it cannot be revived. Forget about the far away village to get better facilities the main areas within old pune city limit is suffering for basic facilities. For more than 25 year pmc could not make a simple road where we stay in b t kawade road. They have hand in hand with builders and wants to settle more and more people in small villages without planning, everything is haphazard. They charge taxes but dont give facilities. They have become the bosses of pune and when we complain they ignore or close online complain with addressing it or solving it. I don't see much pmc people working on real ground they just busy in offices. They just want to expand the corporation limit to may be 500 sq kms in Pune.Pmc was sleeping and suddenly they woke up to see all other cities is the world and in India are making progress so should pmc, by doing this they destroying the village also. Feel sad the old charm of pune is already gone. There was lot of agriculture land and natural land which is become concrete jungle.all these plans getting executed now is almost 30-40 years old project, if pmc is going in this pace then it may take another 30 -40 years to fully develope Pune.
