I don't understand this concept that you think you're paying 30% tax outright regardless of the salary tax bracket.
For example if you earn 18LPA and you opt for the new tax regime, you pay around 2.15Lakhs tax which comes out to be 11.4% of tax.
Also the population of Indians earning more than 15LPA is less than 1 percent. Still they complain about the 30% tax.

If not lavish marriage, made decent and nice marriage without compromising on any money matter. Liked by relatives and all who attended marriage. Today with rent income of 7000 from 1 bhk myself and my wife living simple life. My son in laws want to help us. But we are keeping very cordial relationship without money matters. His daughters are earning a lifetime of learnings and experiences of not running behind materialistic commodities. This sir is taking his daughters to the beach when they want to go out. Doesn't go out for movies, doesn't go for fancy restaurants.
This is the epitome of happiness. We humans usually tend to connect happiness to financial spending, here he is showing happiness in experiences with his family.
That's why the happiness from spending and splurging is short lived. While this sir is ever happy. So much joy and pride on his face.
