I wonder if they will ever be able to popcorn artillery rounds? That ware the gun team will fire 3 or 4 rounds with different "bags" (the powder or cheese charge) and different angels for each round. The effect is one gun can fire multiple round (3-4) that will all land on target simultaneously. In the infantry the 60mm we had with us could fire like 3 rounds that would hit at the same time so you could get multiple strikes before they had a chance to get into cover.

@@laxg64 its charges and angle if you fired just on different angles the rounds would impact at different locations. The principle behind this is to fire first high angle ( closet to 90) with the largest charge (most amount of clipped on the fin of the round). This round travels further and takes longer, the next is fired with a less of and angle and less of a charge and so forth. The less charge causes the round to not go as high in altitude so they make to ground level quicker ( shorter time of flight), a shallower angle throws the round further from the gun. The m224 60 mm is dose do this and people due use the term special operations
Okay, the question is I guess, how do you counter this? Counterbattery can't hit you if you keep moving, so are all vasileks now invincible and provide infinite value?

I really like the game play of this game, but it's a little fast for me. Steel Div 2 is wonderful, love the historic units. But I'm intimidated by warno as it just seems so fast and unforgiving
It is, I love strategy games, and I have warno I don't play due to me being terrible, which is due to not being able to put in the time, all the other folks have time, and are monsters, it's frustrating for me to be getting massacred and I can't even see anyone with recon but they can shoot artillery all the way to my logistics 😂 if I'ma be mad at a game I don't needa play
What is the keyboard shortcut!? You've just saved me literally minutes during my games. I mean holy shit I've been using towed artillery for a long time bc so cheap and omg I love this.
U for unload, Y for unload at position, group select and right click transport to load back in. You can also use T to fire position, hold shift and then group select and right click transport and then they will auto load after firing.

Hello Just want an opinion with RTS I am thinking about getting steel divison II, warno, last train home or broken arrow I just want to know which is the best option for beginners?
Broken Arrow has not released yet, and I haven't heard of Last Train Home. Out of the remaining two, I would say Steel Division is the more mature and balanced game, and perhaps a bit easier to learn too. However, learning such complex games always means a lot of time playing them, so picking the game with the timeframe you find most interesting is not a bad choice either.
@@wjorst6159 No, unless you are doing high level 1v1 competitive matches, so it is not relevant for like 99% of players. Many great divisions are in the base game, newly-introduced stuff that turns out to be OP eventually gets nerfed, and in most games skill decides, not the divisions. Simply having the base game + the free DLCs and perhaps the Tribute to D-Day DLC for some nice Western divs is all one probably needs for a start, everything else is purely optional.
Yeah... we're gonna need a way to counter this or at least a load/unload timer the same way infantry have a timer on entering and exiting buildings. Also very sad to see fixed wing air nerfed this much. They really shouldn't be throw-away units.
@@junibug6790 Except it saves you a critical amount of time, especially with allowing the order to be queued up. Real life artillery also needs time to (re)deploy. There's no way to counter battery this.
Planes being throw-away units was what we had before where bombers would almost always hit their targets no matter how dense the AA was, it incentivized sending planes on suicide missions to trade them for high value targets. Now that that's no longer practical it'll hopefully lead to people using their planes much more carefully. You can see in this match how many planes went down without accomplishing anything, players will need to adjust how they use them. IMO the big things people need to do differently are not flying planes straight over the front line, quickly responding to known AA positions with artillery, and sending out multiple bombers at a time with an ASF/SEAD escort to overwhelm AA instead of calling in one plane at a time reactively.
The biggest change should be by making soviet ten times cheaper then those of NATO. Their biggest trait is superior numbers and is not reflected properly.

The vasileks are not hitting that hard but their disperstion, and high rate of fire, makes them great to smoke off with.

i think speed is good thing, it just feels fast as usually maps are quite small compared to some SD2 maps
Can the towed arty use supply trucks for relocation after selling transports? Supply +transport with one unit?

The shortcut is "U" if you didn't change it

Is there a mod to tone down the arty explosions? It is mostly flying dirt and white smoke. Looks like a MLRS thermobaric strike.
If you turn off unit scaling it will also make the explosions smaller from a distance

That's a strange take. Group load/unload isn't OP in any conceivable way; it just fixes a QoL issue.
