    those 29 inch wheels with aluminium fram are a game changer imo. I love this bike

    Always love to see the voodoo represented on your channel.
    If speed is your only concern on a flow trail, a bizango can happily fill your needs it seems.

      Thanks Dale. Quite right, if all you are interested on a trail like this is speed, then a hardtail like the Bizango Pro could be the best way to go.
      We will see how they both manage the harder stuff.

    looking forward to seeing how the hardtail performs against the enduro bike. My Vitus senter has not let me down yet and I've had it down some pretty rough stuff over the last year. So far not felt the need for full squish.

      Yeah hardtails are much more capable than people give them credit for. On trails like this one they can be way more fun too.

    Got that on my recommended and I enjoyed the vid 👌

    Nicely done, I like these type of videos.
    Maybe if you could do a comparisson on a various range of trails and see how they do. Ofcourse it is to be expected that the cube is faster on very rough sections but it will also show that a good hardtail can do it all

      Sounds like a plan to me ! :)

      Yeah a mini-series of that sort of thing would be cool.

    I ride a 456 built up with stronger rather than lighter bits, they're all decent quality but old, worn and not as good as they could be but I like it.
    I've ridden mate's high end full sussers and the place where they really shine for me is climbing on roots, rocks etc.

    I'm on the side of the hardtail! There, already spilled my beans! Hahaha!
    Lots'a love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from tropical Philippines! #RideOn #KeepBiking

    A lap of Coed y Bennin on each would be interesting: hardtail for the pedalling uphill but would you get tired on the chunky downhill...

      @bikeandbeyond  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah some of the downhill would certainly be a challenge

    Interesting comparison. This is my local, I ride a Calibre Line 10 hardtail and can't for the life of me get down there quicker than 1:00 dead. Be interesting to see you run a 27.5 bike down there for comparison. At least then I'd know if could blame my 27.5 wheels for my deficit. That, or I'm just slow!! 🤣

    • @bikeandbeyond
      @bikeandbeyond  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its a great trail. I would be interested to know how fast a 27.5 would be too. I recon if I get to know the track a bit better I could get faster than 0.54sec, but don't think I would be able to top the strava leaderboard of 0.42sec.

    • @jamesd7214
      @jamesd7214 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That 0:42 time will never be beaten because it will have been set on the old layout. The layout you've ridden only opened a year ago. Before that, the top section was about the same but once you went past the small table top there weren't nearly as many berms. Used to be a few small fast drops off that were fun. Strava segment has never been updated to reflect the new layout. You'd probably kill yourself trying to equal it! 🤪

    My remedy was stolen a couple months ago, I think I'm going to to get the voodoo bazingo pro as my only bike, I just hope it's up for the challenge 😅

      That sucks, there seem to be a lot of bike thieves out there at the moment. I enjoy my Bizango pro. Head to a Haldfords and have a sit on one. That’s the best way to see if the bike suits you.👍🏻

    *Where did you buy the Cube Stereo 150 bike from?*

      I got it from a guy on Facebook market place. Was a good deal.

    I'm still looking for a pro to replace my bizango, no stock ever. How much better is the pro than the 2019 standard?

    • @frasergill4551
      @frasergill4551 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Worlds above in my opinion. The geometry feels way closer to something more aggressive giving more confidence in the bike through trails. Only downside as standard is the lack of dropper post but for the price of the bike there can’t be complaints

    • @bikeandbeyond
      @bikeandbeyond  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I hear that they are selling out fast. As you may have seen in a lot of my earlier videos I took my 2018 Bizango on everything from jumps to off piste enduro trails. Comparing them both, I find the Pro to be a much hardier and reliable bike. The cranks and bottom bracket alone are worth getting the Pro over the standard older version of the bizango. The 2022 pro just feels a bit more capeable and hardwearing.

    In terms of science, yeah it wasn't quite scientific but if depends on what was the purpose of the evaluation. There are things I will choose to ride a hardtail on, there are things I will choose to ride a full sus on. I agree you don't need an overly expensive bike to get out riding but if budget was an issue or even space, you could have only one bike, full sus or hardtail? Personally I'd probably get a full sus under those conditions, jack of all trades.
    In terms of evaluating if price matters, maybe voodoo hardtail against a hardtail costing over £3k? (You already know the "test track" favours a hardtail so the test should determine what (if any) the benefits are of spending more?)
