    This literally saved me alot of money. I had a new lower arm replaced and the mechanic must have pushed the plate onto the disc. Thankyou very much

      Hey i had the same thing done to my car! New lower arm replaced and right when i started driving i heard the most EAR PIERCING SCREECHING NOISE could have heard it a mile away its so loud! Was the noise you experienced ike that? My car still make the noise but not as frequent and as loud. Im not 100% sure if this is the problem but I highly suspect it is.

    Suscribe this man and give him a big big honour. This is the kind of mechanic we want.

    Good video. Was there something between the shield and lower arm? Looks like there is contact between the 2 parts.

    Great vid Rob,.so overlooked. When you say you cleaned off the corrosion, what did you actually do to rove the.lip?

      Thanks. I just scraped the corrosion off of the small lip. The old fashioned way… jam a screwdriver against it and spin the disc 😉

    It doesn't seem like you can push the brake sheild back much. Why is there no space behind it

    Think this might be the issue with mine, thought it was pads! Replaced them and the noise is back, although nowhere near as bad! Hoping its this.

    If this is not repaired, I suspect it would damage your brake disc right? Please let me know?

    Can this be done without removing the tire ? 😢

    Quick question on diagnosing this in the first place. Is this sound worse when braking?
    My pads are practically new and both discs on the front look okay so I suspect this. But can't account for the grinding sound when coming to a stop unless the caliper is misaligned or I have a debris on the pads.

      Your Brakes are sticking probably due to a bad caliper

    what can cause that metal to bend closer to the brake disk?

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anything I guess stone etc. Or I’ve even done it accidentally when doing suspension work

    I bent mine out the way and five days later it's scraping the rotor again.
