ive been practicing this flick and couldn't get it right so this vid is like a blessing because i couldnt any tutorial. thank you for the Awesom tutorial !
Thanks bro! Just a few minutes of practice and my technique is already so much better! A lot better than just winging it before. I hit probably 5-10 60+ MPH flicks and another 15 or so 55+ flicks, whereas before I'd be lucky to hit two or three 55+ 45 degree flicks.
Really simple and nice breakdown. The only way tho is to practice. I'm far from an expert or a good player but I have practiced a lot flicking and dribbling. One of the rare things I do well. For others out there, if you want decent power but a mad lob, use the front of the car on your 90 degree or less effectively (I find) the 45. So just beofre you do the opposite diagonal backflip part, air roll in the direction of your cradle and then pop it. For players just stating off with flicks, particularly ranks below high/diamondish, the side flip is the most versatile. For shots have it at the side front of your car, for poping it over opponents, have it middle side. Hope this helps too.
I was wondering why my 45 degree flicks are slow nost of the times, it turns out because I don't air roll while doing the flick, now my flicks are way faster, thank you so much!
I honestly can't tell if I'm pulling it off properly but I think I am? Are you hitting the ball with the front of your car or the back? I honestly can't tell! I keep doing this in free play and I'm hitting the ball more with the nose front part of the car. Seems to be working great but for some reason in this video it looks as though you're hitting it more with the tail (back side) of the car when you do your flick?
just realized that flicks may be a lil difficult since I play on normal air roll, not directional. Good thing I'd rather be good at comp in 3s and 2s where you dont flick very often lol
@@KingpinSensei really? So do you just turn car to the right 45 and then very fast roll left before you flick in the opposite direction? I'll have to work at it and try to figure it out. Thanks for the comment or I would've thought flicks may not be for me😂. Are you able to breezi with normal air roll aswell? never tried it but I know Leth had trouble with it and he said it was bc he does use directional
@@rizescrappy8729 Breezi is only possible with directional air roll but you can do a musty flick which is the same but not as fancy. To do the 45 I just turn 45 degrees without air roll then when I lean into the ball is when I use a slight air roll.

Thanks for the comment! This flick and generally all flicks are usually better in 1s and 2s because you have more time to dribble, in 3s you get challenged straight away.
Don't remember who did the video, but someone did a complete breakdown of the mawkzy flick.. he also made a training pack to help. Its noted in the video. It's similar, but it was explained as basically a backwords speed flip as contact is made. Just search mawkzy flick, you'll find the video. Really good tutorial.
Thanks for this! One question; How do you turn right then air roll left (if flicking left)? Do you recommend doing both simultaneously using directional air roll binds or one quickly after the other using manual air roll?
I turn then use manual air roll, it's a little bit slower than directional air roll, but that also allows the ball to fall down after I push it up with the jump, I feel like I get a better flick when I allow it to 'rest' on the car. You can use directional air roll if you want to, try them both and see what's more comfortable for you.
@@KingpinSenseihow things come full circle - back to re-learning this and see I commented 2 years ago - and the comment echos what I'm wondering again now 😂 thanks for pre-answering haha
It all depends on where you're balancing the ball if it's in the right spot you'll 'hook' the ball with your diagonal flip, this hook adds the power, if it's going too high, it could be because you're balancing the ball too central, try bringing it a bit more forward when you flick.
That means it's not balanced in the right position, if it flys up then it's too central, if the ball flys forward then it's too much on the front of the car
Practice, but dont over do it in one sitting. Work on it for 10-15 mins. Come back the next day and do it again. Rince and repeat until you get it. Spending too much time in one sitting can lead tords bad habits
I can’t find a straight answer. Does it make a difference whether you hold the ball on the front mind of the car or the front left (of your rotating right for the flick)?
When I do the 45 Degree flick I personally find a better connection when it's a little front left, for the 90 degree flick, front center seems best. It's very precise though, try changing it a just a small bit and see what you prefer.
I'm gold keep that in mind first time I do this I hit it perfectly the power was really bad tho ngl best flick even for low ranks bit of practice and you can shit on people

how can I make my flicks lower and pose fuller I’m only gettin 24 mph
It all depends on where you're balancing the ball if it's in the right spot you'll 'hook' the ball with your diagonal flip, this hook adds the power, if it's going too high, it could be because you're balancing the ball too central, try bringing it a bit more forward when you flick.
When I jump the ball Flys off my car and goes high into the air, so I can't flick the ball if it's not there
That means it's not balanced in the right position, if it flys up then it's too central, if the ball flys forward then it's too much on the front of the car
