Thank you for this video sir, I had the exact same leak and pools up oil. I didn’t even know about that plug. You saved me alot of time not taking off the valve cover. Thank you again.
Thanks for detailing the locations of the leak trail-found residue all over the base of oil pan & transmission. I had noticed oil residue in the same areas on our Civic during my oil change today. I was dreading thoughts of possibly doing an oil pan gasket swap. I just have to check the EGR valve for any oils too before I replace it. Thanks for making this vid man! I would be so relieved to find this vs a oil pan gasket repair.
Hey i already know my camera work sucks lol! I need a camera person while i do the work, it's hard to do both. The camera be slowing me down, but glad you found it, and thanks for watching by the way...
I’m hoping this is the problem, I just replaced the Vtec solenoid on the back since I got a p1259 code and sure enough I test drove it on the highway the oil pressure light blinked once the car sputtered a bit and the code came back on the minute I went over 60 on the highway, kind of bummed I replaced the solenoid for this to pop up again, from what you showing my leak looks just like that and I notice oil is still leaking and burning off at the bottom, thank you for showing my this I’m going to try and get the o ring Do you have a link for the part numbers for both the ring and egr gasket?
@@Change4ADollar forgot to mention I actually just replaced this back in November and put some gasket maker on it. It actually was just that. Car has been bone dry and holds all the oil. Thank you, this saved me paying a grand to replace the other seals in the engine block.
It is responsible for sealing the end of the engine's camshaft or camshafts between the top of the cylinder head and the valve cover gasket. When they start to fail you will begin to leak oil... Hopes that help you get some time of idea thank you....
@@Change4ADollar Nice, Just having mines done at 135k and 20 years later. You just never know. I think they are rated for much longer and more miles than Honda states in manual.
Hi! I really love the video well explained, it’s possible to get the two thing written please. I would I appreciate. I want to do the same work on my Honda! Thank you!!!
@@Change4ADollar I did it , but I need another egr hex nut so it’s not a problem because I’m letting it dry for 48hrs like you suggested, since stores are closed rn , I also the previous owner changed the engine black cap b4 but it was still leaking so hopefully the new 1 plus the black paste seals it tight. Thanks!

would you reccommend emptying your oil first, or does it not really matter?
I didn't empty mines, but i'm sure it won't hurt if you did just don't make a mistake and start it up....
@@Change4ADollar lmfao ive almost done that before
