Kinda suck with council park because that’s what’s closest to where I live and all the street spots me and my friend Ryder have skating around just small things
Prahran’s new skatepark has just been finished and now it’s open. It’s so crowded it’s literally like a demo everyday.. DIY’s are starting to look like a really good option for having a chill skate session
Dude that place actually looks amazing! I can't wait to get down there and skate it! But yeah you should take advantage of all the surrounding parks for the next few months since everyone will be at Prahran 😅
@@LeonPaxton Yeah it’s awesome! We can’t wait to have to come down.. Would love to hear your thoughts of the park when you seen it in person. Hahah yeah will definitely be travelling around to other parks even though I live two blocks away from Prahran skatepark 🥲
It looks amazing so I can only imagine how good it is in real life 😍 Maybe just hit it super early in the morning before anyone else is there but then it’s probably going to be super cold lol
DIY parks are always sick. Used to love skating the one in Galveston TX by the beach (it’s been demolished since new owners bought the property). Also you should do an update video on your spitfire radials! Great videos keep it up bro
They are the best. Damn that sucks, might have to get another one going out there! I'm actually riding the same 54mm Radial shape again but in the 93 durometer Soft Slider model and they are a mazing 👌🏼 Thanks dude 🙏🏼
Dang, that board 270 was sick! Diys are so fun. I feel like they take the pressure off a bit because I have the built in excuse that it's kinda janky haha. I feel like I end up skating better.
Thanks dude! Such an awkward trick but felt so good to roll away from 🥳 That's true, you kind of just take whatever you can get on sketchy obstacles and count it as a win lol
there was a skatespot in my city that was a bunch of skateable art objects. all super strange but fun. it was for a old exhibition somewhere but afterwards they got brought to an empty patch of concrete where they stayed for years. and became one of the most populair places to skate. and varous other objects got put there over the years. like onetime contest obstacles and stuff. but it got to a point similliar to some in this video. where the wood was too rotten and it became dangerous. so all got removed by the city. except for 2 curbs. then over the next year or so a fiew new obstacles got put there by people. nothing strange or artsy this time. but great fun lil QP and some boxes and rails. but then again it got ordered to be removed. which shocked us all. but then a fiew days later the city themselves, put a bunch of old marble benches, curbs and whatever that originally came from the street on there. which aparently some skaters had been working on for the last year. its pretty cool to skate. and all the marble is soo nice to grind. but it went from a DIY to like a super budged skatepark where the city and skaters worked together to get it kinda legit. and then obvously the DIY rails retuned in no time. the only downside is in the past because it was all wood. every time you got there it had a new layout cause people moved shit around, so it was allways a fresh experience. and thats not possible with the marble blocks.
Damn that’s sick that the city put some stuff there and created that space again! Hopefully they don’t come back and remove anything else in the future though 🤞🏽 I didn’t mention in this video but another exciting thing about DIY’s is that it’s not guaranteed to stay there so it’s more exciting to get a chance to skate it and get a trick on something that you know won’t be skateable forever, similar to a street spot!
Do you prefer DIY skateparks, council built skateparks or street skating more?
I'm starting to get into street spots more.

I prefer DIY skateparks check out on the internet the dog shit spot in Berlin
Sick! Street skating will make you so much better at skating in general 👌🏽 @@destroyedbyfeds
You guys might have to start building some DIY spots 🙌🏻 @@61936
Awesome spot. That curved rail looks so fun to skate.
The rails were all so fun to skate!

@@LeonPaxton That’s definitely the plan for summer! The mornings have been about 4-10 degrees here haha
so true. basically the skatepark version of street skating
That's actually the best way to describe it!

i think i can (barely) hit like two of these features - fun to see someone who can actually skate get into it! gnarly area but the locals are legends
also half of the fun is seeing kids hoon through the field on their peewee 50s haha
Yeah man, everything there is so fun!
Haha yeah there actually was a few guys tearing through the fields that n their lil’ motorbikes 😂
Really good tricks 👍🔥 beautiful board too...
Thank you! I'm loving the pink stain with pink rails too 👌🏼
back board 270 was sick as hell man
Thanks man, it felt so good!

i live there
I agree diy spot are the most fun and have more opportunities for learning new skillz
They are just more fun and fulfilling to skate and get tricks on!
And knowing they won’t last forever makes it more exciting to skate at the time
didn't fernside start as a diy? i have a memory from early 2000s of the place but my early onset dementia might be coming on
I think it did, yes!
rain bolts gonna find out
Where's That At? It Looks Fun
I can't say man lol
@@LeonPaxton Haha 😅, I meant what City?

Of course man, I already want to go back and skate this place!

Not sure man, I have a bruised heel at the moment so I can’t really skate for a few weeks 👎🏽
