      @@berto928 LOL. You can get this same package from an reputable company for 1/4 of the price. That gives you a LOT of money left over if anything breaks. I can tell you that the jeep is not going to break $30k worth of parts in one year if built by someone reputable. Hennessy's customers know nothing about cars. All they have is money. If they knew ANYTHING about automobiles, they would know that they were getting ripped off. Hennessy has good advertising and makes it easy for the customer by having an all inclusive package. You can purchase a new vehicle, and before you even take delivery of it, it will get the Hennessy treatment. Then, you'll be taking delivery of a brand new modified high hp vehicle. IMO, that's smart....but he's also robbing people (wealthy people who know nothing about cars) by charging the customer 4 times more than what they should be charging them. He's still succeeding at it unfortunately. There's enough dumb wealthy people out there that will let Hennessy rip them off.

    I know Eaton has worked miracles with the TVS and that the 2.65 outdoes the Whipple 2.9 for horsepower, but the engineer in me cringes at replacing a twin screw with a Roots. For 1000 HP, I'd prefer to start with the Redeye blower or the 3.0 from the Hellephant. I'm sure that isn't cheap, but neither is Hennessey.

You can get your American v8 in your choice of power and in everything from a mid-engine DCT sports car (corvette) a pony car with a flat-plane crank and an iconic nameplate (shelby), one of the best handling FR chassis in the business (camaro), a true retro muscle car (challanger), to a usable, reasonably nice SUV. Love it.

    Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk is not a sleeper. It's known to be very fast from factory even if its tuned and modded. If it was a basic lower trim model or a Wrangler with the TrackHawk drivetrain, then yes that's a sleeper after putting an electric exhaust cutout to quiet down the noise a bit to give it away. But other than that, good video.

    With all that torque I'd 'downgrade' the axels from 3.70:1 to something like 3.36:1, and if gas mileage at high speeds is a concern, I'd go farther to a 3.08:1 ratio

    • @AlCasa52
      @AlCasa52 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Why would gas mileage be a concern if you are buying a 1000 horsepower SUV? Don’t you think that owner would also have other cars?

    I wish FCA would actually take advantage of electric steering and have variable weighting like Ford has it in f150, it's missed opportunity, especially for Trackhawk

    Pro tip for my car bros (and Matt): Don't worry too much about the pollution your car produces. Animal agriculture produces more greenhouse gasses, water pollution, ocean deadzones and more, than all the cars, ships, planes, trains etc in the world combined (so says the UN and major universities). So on average, you'd do better for the environment by changing your diet than changing your car. Drive a Jeep Track Cock, eat some lentils, be happy.
