How much does it cost for a build like this
If the Dyno sucked up 120whp when it was stock then it’s going to suck up the same 120whp even when the power is substantially increased. It does not magically suck up an additional 100whp when you double the power. Gale Banks TST Podcast #389 at the 1:33:08.
You don’t know math. You go by percentage not just one number. If 20% is lost in stock form then 20% will still be lost in modded form.
Just Some Guy Drivetrain loss is not a set percentage. Just listen to what Gale Banks said before insulting me. The point he makes is crystal clear.

TurboDieselDan ok you’re going off of what somebody said versus simple math. If a engine makes 495hp and 450whp that means it lost 10% (45hp) thru the drivetrain. Take that same engine and make 1000whp and now it makes 1100hp and loses 100hp with the same drivetrain loss.
It’s more like 25-27% on AWD

Dear Chevrolet or GM whomever it concerns ! As a die hard chevy lover and fan i am getting pissed that chevy doesn't have anything that can compete in this segment ! As dodge customers keep getting ridiculously amount of hp your hp numbers remain mediocre! Why keep making the same damn ZL1 with 650hp when clearly you could've put the ZR1 motor in it making it more attractive from a numbers aspect ! You got the nerve to make a zl1 1LE and its the same hp, that wack af no hp bump or anything! Now back on subject give us a damn ss trailblazer thats looks like a ZL1 and hauls ass like a ZR1 ! And you wonder why your loosing customers to the dodge brothers ! I'm getting a trackhawk and getting rid of this damn ZL1 i cant drive it in the winter no ways !

@@jdizzlebizzle2044 good point. They should not call this new blazer a "blazer", because it's not. It needs to be bigger, boxier, with a small block v8. Then they could make a performance model with a subtle body kit and a massive engine.
GM couldve put the new blackwing engine in the new escalade but chose not to stiking with outdated v8 for power
plus they ruined the Chevrolet Blazer

That McLaren wasn’t using launch control that was a soft launch.
Not that it matters but what’s the MPG on one of these beasts. Do you measure it in gallons per mile 😂

Probably 5mpg maybe 9 if you can maintain a normal driving experience. That’s also assuming the fuel isn’t something super crazy and it’s running e85

I wouldnt mind seeing them do a tundra. See what numbers they can pull.
Crazy to me that they had to install a Whipple to get 970 wheel. Could of reached that number with FBO, ported everything, and fuel upgrades. Way overpriced setup.
Also that 970 wheel was with AWD disconnected. It’s probably 900 during normal AWD conditions. Don’t get me wrong, it’s quick, but I think it’s under performing for the hellcat engine platform.
Edit: An unnamed competitor offers 900 wheel for $6,000. Even less mods than the above I mentioned.
Adding power is possible at low price but reliability is more expensive.
Ex: Hennessey tuned can run 500.000miles and tuned low cost 250.000miles (
simple guess).
I am not an engineer but not easy to maintain reliability.

My trackhawk makes 850 whp (on e85) with the unnamed s1025 set up + header + FI interchiller kit +CAI. So far I have 25k miles and no problems. Spent around $9k total. Totally agree with op
Bro Forza Tuning offers a 1000hp package which is basically FBO ported everything for $16,000 while this is $179,000

@David Hoffman 3 years later I have gone through a lot with the trackkhawk.... blew the motor in the end but that was my fault. The s 1025 setup really requires 93 octane if you're not running e85. My new setup makes 905 at the wheels on e85 but now I run an HP tune for e85 and a different tune for 91 octane because I'm not in a area that has 93. I believe the s1025 setup would be fine as long as you have 93 octane at your disposal. If not, I highly recommend not going with that setup. At this point, the trackhawk is not my daily driver anymore as I have a 800 horsepower TRX that is mostly stock and I'm not messing around with it as I want to keep it under warranty. Good luck with your build, I know you're going to have a lot of fun with it

Is the transmission installed in this truck hawk a torque converter 8-speed automatic transmission with a lockup function? Or is it a dual clutch transmission? Is it an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT made by Mercedes-Benz?

@@itsjustnopinionok check out Forza tuning and performance, they do the best work on Mopar vehicles. Whenever they do performance mods to the trackhawk they always upgrade the trans , but they have really good prices for the quality of their work

Interestingly enough the suv electric ludicrous only hangs with a stock Trackhawk. A modified Trackhawk makes it an absolute beat down.
