10:50 what if amp is 4 channel with 4 rcas? Do you run 4 rcas per amp to the block still?

    • @JacobViral2

A 4 channel is simply 2 x 2 channels, so 2 sets of rcas with seperate signals for the Adjustment/equalizer/etc necessities. Your able to use a split from 1 set to turn into multiple class ab amps if needed.

    • @JacobViral2

No if you use high quality connections. Seen 1,000s of competitors use bass knobs without problems long as connected properly. Knobs do ware overtime so can down the road become a problem if not replaced.

I don't always run both amps and I noticed if I only have 1 of the 2 amps powered on the subwoofers don't move the way they should. They almost move like they are free air or something, if I turn the 2nd amp on, they are all normal again. Why would this happen? I've been trying to figure this out for years. I've tried different sterios, different rca splitters and cables. Any help would be appreciated. If I leave both amps on every time I want to play 1 set of speakers and I don't even need to engage the speakers with the ab switch, as long as both amps are on, it's fine. It's so strange.

With how powerful computer power supply units have gotten in the last 15 years I’d say yes but you’re better off buying 2 psu’s 1 for each amp, I know this cause I’ve ran a car amp in a hometheater setup with 2 p1 10s in a ported fox box and she got low with movies and music although because my home theater receiver didn’t have a sub out rca I used the sub out by wiring it directly using a stripped rca running to n rca splitter it worked but years later the receiver died I doubt it was the jank setup given the receiver was old and was used for many years in a normal setup so I think it was just having old age issues, however I upgraded to a modern 5.2.2 setup but I am using a 12in 400w Klipsch R-12SW that does the job I’d like to get a second one at some point, but go with what I said if you can get 2 psu’s it’ll be easier than trying to source a psu that’s a decent price with the power to power 2 amps without burning your house down.

When I plug Headunit FRONT rcas to amp FRONT rcas the top channels work, when I plug Headunit REAR rcas to amp REAR rcas there is 0 sound, but if I plug Headunit FRONT rcas to amp REAR rcas I get sound from the bottom channels… what could this be? Sounds like you already did a good job troubleshooting and narrowed down to it being equipment/rca issue. Y Splitting works but usually you want to keep signal quality by tuning separate front/rear.

What's the purpose of having an amp in and out for your RCA's on a 4-channel or a 2-channel class d etc on sub amplifier where it says amp in I thought that your RCA's go to first amp then where it says amp out you take them RCA to next amp and then if you want to add another amp on top of that or more you just jump off the last amp that you have your RCA's going to so in order to get your high amplifier to work right and sound to come through it without using the high input jack to the speakers or the low input jack for the subwoofers if you don't have RCA's you got to do a pig tail like you have here and you can just go off one set of RCA's you can just use your sub RCA create 2 RCA's coming off that to your high and then two coming off going to your sub and it doesn't see a difference I always thought that the sub RCA was made internally different in the head unit specifically for low bass only type of frequency the mids and highs free different type of frequency through the RCA so basically you taught me something no matter if I got four sets of RCA's coming from the back of my radio if I got two amplifiers for 3 amplifiers all I have to do is just run a wire adapter off of one of the other of the RCA coming from the head unit that being said the other ones are there just kind of a backup or a spare in case you blow an RCA channel you have three other sets so that means you can run your sub off a high or a mid-range Jack coming from the head unit I believe that's what you're saying it's been awhile since I hooked up double or multiple amps I did it some years ago and I couldn't remember but I thought you just jump from one amp to another where it says in and out the out would be to your next amp and that's all you would need to get sound coming through your amplifier to your speakers I did that recently a day ago and I was getting a weird noise coming from the speaker so that probably explains that I don't jump to another amp off the previous yep I got to come directly from the head unit to get the right RCA frequency for each individual specific amp ?

What's up Jacob my name is Ryan here's my situation currently I'm running a stock head unit and I have a broken 4 output RCA converter it's going to be a month before I can get a new one however I have a spare but it's a single output ,however that single output only one channel is working, and I have four amplifiers, so I have a y splitter coming from my converter going to 1 amplifier from that amplifier I have a exact one which I'm using a output from that amplifier running to the twin, then from that one that output is going to my 4-channel amplifier. Now for some reason when I hooked up some more wire connectors it doesn't matter from the converter or from another amplifier as soon as I go to my fourth amplifier the whole system sounds wack so it sounds decent running the 3 amps however I want that fourth one so I want to run another RCA converter however but I want to know is if I can run one channel out of my head unit the ties into both left and right of the RCA converter or should I just run that one channel of my head unit to one of the left or right of the RCA converter then use a wire adapter like I did with my other RCA converter? Sorry if it sounds complicated but that's my situation I was just curious about and if it doesn't make any kind of sense then don't worry about it but I just figured after watching your videos I would shoot you that inquiry LOL thanks bro
