      End game should of been the last marvel movie, because despite the girl power scene it ended on a emotional ending that was built up over 12 years of movies. What happened was trying to chase the fame of what will never be, and all because Disney stuck it’s wang in politics and being “PC”. So out of phase 4 we got two okay not great Spider-Man movies, and a bunch of movies and TV shows that were crap. Only things worth looking forward to are Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and DeadPool 3, and that’s it. No one asked for the marvels, Eternals, a She Hulk that would of been a good show if effort was put into the writing and not change up origins of her character, and anything else in phase 4. Rather just watch marvel cartoons that were good, and not “corrected” by writers that never truly read and understood the comics. Heck when DC announced Harley and Ivy were a lesbian couple fans were like “that be a interesting show” and they did that without being woke, with minor “pc” crap which they actually made fun of dumb crap like that, and was actually a fun cartoon. That’s one thing I will say about the marvel cartoons they at least haven’t screwed them up, unlike DC with Teen Titans go.

    • @EldritchRolls
      @EldritchRolls ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@MysteryAGMLegend You do realise that Marvel has always been "PC" right? All but a couple of their writers have always been on the Progressive side of Politics, Stan Lee's whole thing was that Anybody could be a hero, and made sure that every type of person was represented to the best of their knowledge.
      Most of the "PC" stuff people complain about is ripped straight from the comics.
      When it comes to the Harley and Poison Ivy relationship, that happened in the comics and is one of the most beloved couples in comic history, if anything people wished it happened in the show sooner.
      Phase 4 of marvel gave us a few really good movies, if you like comic book movies anyway. Shang Chi, Spiderman: No Way Home, and Multiverse of Madness were great superhero movies, and several of the shows were really good, Loki, Wandavision, Moonknight, and Hawkeye were really fun to watch. I even enjoyed She-Hulk for the most part (the end conflict could have been changed, but most of the show was fairly comic accurate, even the creator of the she-hulk character said so).
      I agree that nobody asked for that Marvels movie, they should have taken the hint at the backlash because of Brie Larson's version of the character, and Far from Home could have been better, Mysterio is a weird villain to be a solo act. I think that several of the shows coming out this Phase have real potential to be amazing and with the end of this phase bringing in the X-Men and Fantastic Four along with characters like Deadpool into the official MCU universe, there is still a ton of potential for good stories.
      I can Understand if people are feeling Burnout for the MCU, it has been going on for over a decade with over 30 movies and now Shows to keep up with, so if people want to take a break from those movies and maybe come back later, I think that is perfectly fine, but I also don't think its fair to judge a movie or show's quality poorly when your going into the experience with already soured expectations, and just because You don't like something, doesn't make it a bad thing. There are still plenty of people who Loved the movies you seem to have disliked or hated.
      Movies are supposed to be Fun, it seems like these days people forgot what Fun is like and spend all their time trying to find Flaws in things instead of appreciating the good parts of what they are seeing.

      @@EldritchRolls The problem is that the PC junk they are ripping from the comics have ALREADY FAILED.
      There is a REASON that Ironheart failed, that Captain Marvel has been relaunched a dozen times, that gay Robin was cancelled after only 10 books. It's because people recognize trash when they see it. Whether it's unlikeable characters, or trash tier stories, or tearing down anything remotely good to prop up politicized crap. @@MysteryAGMLegend the odd thing is… TTG sucks, but the multiverse movie established the difference, and acknowledges it. If only some of that TTG revenue went towards the original run that made Teen Titans legendary.
      Marvel on the other hand…
      Movies:
      Galactus? Never set up properly.
      Doctor Doom? Doomed to be stuck in a movie line that can never be finished
      Hela? Killed by Surtur in Ragnarok

    Anime, once again, does weird other-worldly realms vastly better.
    The absolute masterpiece "Mushishi" comes to mind, with realms in the mushi world strange, surreal, beautiful, and frightful.

    • @EldritchRolls
      @EldritchRolls ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That comes entirely with the medium of Animation. If a live action movie wants to correctly portray other worldly things they have to use CGI, which can be difficult to do amazing unless you have a huge budget to give to the CGI team. I personally think that the Quantum Realm looked amazing in the theater, the video Nux is watching was using stuff from the trailer and it was low quality, didnt do the scenes justice.
      Animation will almost always be the best way to tell a story, but sadly the USA (where these movies make the most money) still looks down on Animation most of the time as just "Kids Stuff", so until it gets proper recognition we are going to be stuck with Live Action with Mostly Good CGI.

I suspected something was going on with the character and I knew they were probably involved somewhat but even then the reveal was still very entertaining for me. But then they turn her out of nowhere into a tech wiz, gave her a pym suit, she mastered quantum tech, and she ends up being an unlikeable activist moron! Scott was a criminal, but he actually did genuine good as one and (even legally speaking) had paid big time for his crimes as “Robin Hood”. Cassie just intervened in a situation she had no business with, didn’t suffer any consequences such a long time in jail, didn’t learn a lesson, used her “powers” selfishly and destructively and out of nowhere hated her dad Scott despite having become an actual hero! It’s bullshit!

    Thats the joke: literally evrry dumb idea can be a good story, if you think enough about the consequences. Thats why horror films work, even though they dont change everything: they tell the story and milk it until most of it is told. You dont need tropes if you just think about the plot. Like event horizon: people go on ship, murder each other and leave, from the outside. Every dumb story can be told in a smart way, there just needs to be dedication.

It's been proven that contrast of extremes from opposite sides of the color spectrum we can perceive are the most attention catching, and why you saw it on every video game and movie advertisement and poster a few years back. It's lazy to make a whole movie reds and purples. 😒

    The superhero movie genre is starting to show off some burn out, movies like Logan or Joker were amazing because they focus more on the storytelling than the fx, they felt like a breath of fresh air after so much Marvel and DC movies, so after the first avengers and the first Dr. Strange, I stopped caring about the narrative and just enjoying the heroes and fx on screen, because it felt like a complete cycle, but they had to jerk the money cow and now we're here, searching in a tired genre something that is a rare occasion, not the rule. I see these movies with the same expectations as a Fast & Furious movie, I can enjoy it for the sake of watching superhumans, but not for the sake of the plot.

    So the quantum realm really is a thing in the comics, but since it's basically just everything on the subatomic level there's not a lot actually going on.
    What they showed is closer to the negative zone. A separate dimension with its own laws of physics and weird alien inhabitants. Seeing as it's a fantastic 4 property I'd assume they mixed things up deliberately for property rights reasons, except Kang is also a fantastic 4 character and Disney already assimilated fox, so they probably just don't give a shit about the source material.

    What's going on with Disney's directors and writers? If you see who's behind each new entry, you'll find that the writers have not had any single major project in their resume but they still get casted for this multi-million dollar project so... what the hell is going on?
    I think the producers arbitrarily pick less-renowned writers so they can do whatever they feel with the script, and the single role of the writer in the film is to glue together the crap the producers come up with, and to be a scapegoat when it all goes to shit. And to cap it all, directors that will sell themselves for corporate greed and will go along every single bad decision.
    There is no heart in these projects, no passion, no love for the arts or the IP... just greed and nonsensical storytelling

    i like some comics even though i read manga and manhwa. But isn't this what has been with all comic's since the beginning? That an incident happens but it does not have permanent consequences because then we cannot use the same villains and heroes in other stories with other writers. One of the reasons villains and heroes are never permanently killed. Because they are not written by just one person that ends with everything being trapped in time, Gwenpool once said in her comic that she have been in a comic now for 4 years but it's only 1 year had passed. While in one piece, FMA and others provide a sense of time.

    I like Marvel. I liked the MCU except for Captain Marvel up until Endgame. But the original creators who made those movies intended the series to end with Endgame. Now it feels thin, sort of stretched, like butter over too much bread. The series was already running a bit thin with the likes of Iron Man 3, and Ant-man was kind of bland and predictable from the start.
    As a die-hard Marvel fan, let me say this: let the MCU die with what shred of dignity it has left. It is stifling any alternative portrayals of Marvel, and is disappointing to the fans. Let it be lain to rest. Teen Titans, the Maguire Spider-Man movies... they didn't overstay their welcome. MCU should do the same.

    A great “strong female character?”
    John McClain’s daughter.
    Granted the movie was “eh” (Live Free or Die Hard) it wasn’t about all her and when the antagonist has her talking on the phone with John, “Daddy… (quavering voice. Then says dead pan defiantly looking at the guy) there’s three left…”
    Simple. Awesome. And funny.
    (Especially the expression from the antagonist.)
