Dad's 1941 John Deere B - oil and filter change

First change on a John Deere B project that my Dad left behind.

Try draining enough oil to add 1-2 quarts of diesel fuel and then run engine above idle for about a half hour. Repeat the process with the same amount of Marvel Mystery oil. Then you can change to regular oil. The reason for this is that the rings may be stuck, causing them to not seal properly. Therefore burning oil . Good luck
