So, fun fact about the Dracula novel: Dracula doesn't die to sunlight, it just weakens him. The whole turn to dust in the sunlight myth was created from the 1933 adaptation. :)

If I hadn’t known that Gennedy Tartatovsky (the brains behind Dexter’s Lab and Samurai Jack) was involved with Hotel Transylvania, I would’ve watched it relatively late.😅 I love this film, it’s very entertaining! My only regret is not seeing it at a movie theater.
He didn't create it.. he was like the 4th director to be put on this project, but he has completely rewritten the story and added his flair of animation.
She also plays Mabel Morra in Only Murders in the building with Steve Martin & Martin Short, it is a good series, and they'll be filming the 2nd season soon. She is also great in that. I'm also looking forward to season 3 of Selena & Chef too:)

If the movie followed the actual mythology there wouldn't be any danger at the end. If you read the original book Dracula is able to walk around in sunlight with only a minor decrease in his powers

Glad you liked the film it is a family favourite of mine and neat fact this film was originally supposed to be animated but they choose CGI instead which I have to say really suits the film much better and the next two are really great and funny.
gonna be honest: if i knew monsters of all types were alive and just hiding from us, seeing us as the true monsters, i would try my hardest to befriend them. i mean, seriously, life is dull and bland. monsters could really shake this world for the better.

I'm glad you enjoyed this! If you have time, you may want to watch the next two in the series. Adam Sandler gets a bad rap, but he has some very good live action and animated movies. And I have also found a few that I loved even though I knew they were a hot mess all the same. Anyone who says he can't act should go watch "Uncut Gems". 😄💍👑📿
You should check out Megamind too! Very underrated and overlooked movie because it had the misfortune of releasing close to Despicable Me. Personally I like Megamind more, but they are both great.

Unless you only mean Rob Schneider, Kevin James, and David Spade. Shoot Drew Barrymore has three movies as a lead role, that I can remember off the top of my head. Kevin only has more slots because of sequels. This one. Grown ups. Mall Cop was just a Happy Madison production, like alot of his "usual cast" movies were. If you had the chance to help your buddies careers you would too.
It's a weakness they picked up over time as the vampire gene grew weaker as those that where turned in turn turned others who turned others weakening the vampire genes, of so that's the mythos via the Blade trilogy if I remember right. The original was the strongest and had nearly none of the weaknesses today's version do
The fly is based the professor from The Fly 1958 where the professor/scientist merges with a common fly it stared Vincent Price among other well known actors he is the only one I remember.
Isn’t Quasimodo technically a human. The Flashback of what Happened to Martha(Drac’s late wife) scared the heck outta me as a kid. Fuzzy memory. 13:44 Exactly!🏳️🌈 Martha and Winnie(Wayne and Wanda’s daughter) and Young Mavis are voiced by Jackie and Sadie Sandler. Respectively. I loved the lion king reference that Johnny made in the end song.

Actually, in the original Bram Stoker novel, sunlight doesn’t kill vampires. It only weakens their power.

This is one of Sandler’s best movies and one of my favorites. Since a lot of his film are usually hit and miss. Just be careful with Jack and Jill.

I was actually scared of Drac's jumpscares when I was little because I didn't expect that to happen.
Steve Buscemi is a voice actor known for voicing Randall, Scamper, Neil Fleming Wayne and Horace Nebbercracker.
Hotel Transylvania 2 and 3 are also enjoyable with a lot of the same cast and new people like Mel Brooks... its fun seeing the story continue 😊
