Hey all!
This time I made a voice over! Hopefully this is helpful beside my thick italian accent and some pronunciation mistakes.
Anyway in this tutorial I wanted to show how to paint a scene staring from a picture as it always can happen in the game or movie industry and it can speed forward your process.

Hello, it's a great honor to see your video on TH-cam, I would like to ask what software is used to draw this work? What is the method of recording the screen?
Both painting and recording are done in procreate on the iPad pro 😊
I love your videos - thank you so much for sharing! Could you clarify what you said.. "You paint on a black layer and change the blending mode to keep your values in order"? It would help a lot if we could see not just the painting, but the layers in procreate :)
this is something that I show with layers in My complete digital painting process video! I basically put a layer on top, fill it with black and change the blending mode on the layer from "normal" to "color"and it shows me the values of my painting. From there I can toggle it on and off!

I always get scared away from doing photo paint overs because of foliage because I don't know how to draw or paint them, do you have any tips?
Yeah I understand what you mean, cause you may loose consistency with the original photo/rest of the paint. The key is being able to match the exact same perspective, so sometimes I'm even drawing a perspective grid on top of the original photo so that every element that I add is drawn on that same perspective and it matches the base. The ting I try to do is finding a lot of references of plants so that I can shade them as realistically as possible ☺️ I hope this helps!
