    It's really helpful to hear that I don't have to draw something good every time I sit down. And hearing that you practice whatever for the day, kind of motivates me to kind of get out of my comfort zone. I haven't been feeling like drawing lately because all I do is draw characters and practice the same things every time I draw, but I've been wanting more for my art. I've been wanting to learn so many different things, but I don't allow myself to because I want to create something good every time and that's counterproductive. I don't know, I've considered quitting art many times but every time I can' t imagine myself quitting it because I do want to learn how to draw not just characters but other things as well. So, I'm going to try again, but with a different approach and taking tips from your video!

    ive been stuck on an art block since high school however i discovered your channel and am willing to pick up a pencil again. its scary how art classes can change your mindset and how you perceive art as a whole. what once used to be a fun hobby became dreadful as you adapt your style to satisfy a teachers preference.

    What brushes do you like to use for sketching? After watching your video I think I’m going to try to sketch every morning. My art is good… but I always take big 1-2 week breaks and my art gets bad again lol

    • @Ariabba

      I usually like to use just the round brush in the painting folder (the most default one you can think of in any software). I would be really happy if this motivates you to draw a lil bit every day!

      sure thing! I always use the same brush, the round brush in the painting folder, it's one of the Procreate default ones. If you don't use Procreate you can find a very similar one in pretty much every painting app :)

  • @josephyap5042

    can i know the brushes u use for the fast sketches? and also the setting for each? Thanks.

    • @Ariabba

    Does anyone know how to get out of this beginner phase quick?

    • @alanna5609
      @alanna5609 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what you mean? from personal experiences, I feel if you force hard at being an "expert" you're going to burn yourself out and might give up. Art takes time to understand and get better at. You, have to practice the basics like shading, value, compositions, perspective, anatomy, color theory and etc. You don't have to master it but you need to have a good understanding of it. I recommend you find an art class that starts at the beginning. Community college art classes are good for a starting point but you can find classes online that are of equal or better quality. Live interaction with a teacher can point you in the right direction with their critiques. Proko on youtube might be a good start for you. I also recommend focusing on one area of art for a period of time. Example like if you're having trouble with drawing hands. Focus on drawing hands for a week and draw a least 30 to 1 hour a day. Once you are a little bit more familiar study with art, study other artists' artwork. You can make an art study of the certain thing you like in their artwork. Just remember if your study other's work not posts it and make sure you're looking at a variety of different artworks. Another thing I personally do is watch speed paint or time-lapses of my favorite artist. If you get frustrated at any point in your studies. Take a break or draw something you know and like.

      @@alanna5609 But there’s so many basics that I don’t exactly know how to begin

    • @nikki-zeero3122
      @nikki-zeero3122 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@suspiciouslookingbanana6017 I reccomend using a standart 2B pencil and starting with ; how to hold a pen for different lines (yeah it is a thing... will take a while to get used to it but easier than it sounds) , line quality and different types of lines (straight ,curved ,thin etc.) , where to use which lines , then shapes , then 3d shapes (how to show form) , then organic shapes (clothing, drapery etc) , shading/lighting(values), still life studies (like fruits, objects, cars..maybe really basic figure studies) , then anatomy (you can look up where to start on that since it is really complicated) , and color theory . You can try to study them at once , however try to keep the balance . (Like at the beginning , it would be nice for 80 percent of your studies to be consisting of line quality , and the rest 20 can be the other basics and concepts that you find interesting)
      Dont let the list scare you , they are all connected so it isnt as scary as it seems . And maybe you can find a better order for this on the internet I think . And dont forget to take breaks + stretch your hands amd body really often (30min study , 10 min break , repeat as many times as you want)

    A lot of you guys post how to draw as a real artist. They are not looking for a damn course on how to draw but how to do their work on procreating to make a game or such with step-by-step instructions. I have subscribed and unsubscribed to people that give good hints but will not give out this detailed information. Is this a corruptive way to hold others back? WHATEVER.
