Hey everyone! Just a couple of things... Sorry about the slow releases of videos lately! I am pretty much back to my normal video schedule now. Keep up to date with stuff over on the Community tab 🙂 At the time of this video there is no stable version of a multiplayer mod so this will be a solo only series IF you guys want to see that. Either way I really enjoyed the start of this and I was really happy that they went with a whole new story and character! If we do turn this into a series I will more than likely stick to the usual format of the longer videos so we can focus on the story etc so if you want to see more you know what to do 👍. Thank you for being patient and more videos on the way!
I wold like if you turn this into a series and I don't mind you playing solo. I like it so MUCH. Btw the distress call is in the deep twisty bridges at 200 meters where you found the sea truck fragment. Oh ant it's conected to the 1st game as well.
Penguins being called Penglings is a nod to a wildlife documentary that Benedict Cumberbatch narrated and he mispronounced "penguin" as "pengling" the entire time.

Please make this a series! Below Zero is my favorite of the two and I think the story behind this one is right up your alley! So many things blew my mind while playing this game
I loved playing this game too! Less scary than the first subnautica but the story, the map, everything feels more “dense” in this one and I can’t wait for fooster to explore all the cool stuff!
@@dalnoke9928really? The second game seemed small and quick compared to the first game. The first game was huge and you could spend hours in 1 biome. Here it's a couple small bases on land with a rushed objective.
@@nightwings8984 yes well I think we kind of agree- that’s what I meant by „more dense“. It’s just a matter of preference. I prefer being guided by an interesting story rather than the „feeling lost (and scared) for hours“… I actually spent more time in below zero because I loved the base building so much, which was hugely improved in below zero. And the sea truck was super cool, don’t you think? :)
@@dalnoke9928 I actually am one of the few that thought the truck was kinda lackluster. You can see a little more but I think it looks ugly with the module system. I would rather have the cyclops and seamoth. And the first game gives you enough directive to figure it out. Find the life pods, fix the Aurora, find the rendezvous island, do the gun thing, learn about the other facilities, find the other life pods that lead you to facilities, explore the loud noises until the final part of the game. There are a lot of pings that tell you where to go. Its not quite the straightforward, "here is a map of where everything is go to each", but I think it was fine. I wish they took Subnautica and revamped it with the below zero system, then it would be awesome.
Just hope you know that I watch you for how immersed you get and for your incredible fascination for the games you play. Something about that makes watching every video just that much more fun. You really get into the games you play and that is incredible. No need to ever be sorry for it.

I'm sure you know this, but when you scan fragments that you already have the blueprint for, you get some resources, such as titanium, as well as other stuff. Just thought I'd share this in case you need to quickly grind for some resources when you are building a house, since that takes quite a lot of it.

Finally found this channel again. I found this while browsing in Guest Mode on my TV. Yours is indeed good. I already seen all chapter of your Subnautica Below Zero. What an ending. You have me as a new subscriber. Keep playing amd keep recording. Btw, just for headsup, indie game is the way to go. Some title that just as good or even better than Subnautica is Kingdom Come Deliverance, Outward Definitive Edition (this is a bit harder to make let's play tho), Hobo : Tough Life (insane difficulty), and the last but not in anyway the least...the killer of all Triple A Dev...Kenshi.... There's also honorable mention like Rebel Galaxy (a bit hard for let's play), Fallout 2, and her twin sister...Atom RPG 😄 Again...thx so much for yoir Subnautica Vids, really awesome, not narcist at all (usually another gamer just put his/her mug face to cover the screen, but not you, and beautiful. You remind me of Jason Plays No Man's Sky.
It's obviously way too late to warn Fooster... but I personally feel it's too easy to experience the story in the wrong order in B0. There are areas you don't require any particular equipment to get to that contain story-important dialogue and/or cutscenes, and because they don't have a requirement you can get to them out of order and have your characters say stuff that doesn't make much sense. If I may be so bold, I think B0 went about it the wrong way. They should have used the excuse that the antartic here on Earth is all ice, with no land, and gone a similar direction and gone down, even deeper than Subnautica (after all, this being part of a scientific expedition, they could have given the player better depth modules/vehicles with the excuse that it's equipment that's not available to a generic terraforming ship) and locked the story behind upgrades you can only get from the previous story interaction, so you couldn't experience it out of order. But alas...
Glad you're back on the regular scheduled programming! ;) Love the new Subnautica theme. Get the boy Fiskypoo on and play together like the previous game. Can't wait for the next video
Kk. After-view review. The hole fish contain oxygen in the inner tube. Sea monkeys wont steal if you put the item in your hand up; also if you pin a recipe with minerals they will bring you that mineral! So they are useful. You can also find good parts in their nests. Scan the minerals so you can search for them and look around more for scattered stuff. Good video ❤
Can't wait to watch this series! BTW, if you want, you can go into your settings and turn on the option to pause gameplay while you are in your PDA. That way your O2, food, thirst doesn't go down while you are getting your lore on.

NO, you should definitely play this through to the end. Your enthusiasm for the game and peeling back the layers of the story is fun to watch. For a lot of us, we already know the story and the secrets, but by watching you play and discover it from scratch is almost like we are playing it for the first time. Many are going to give you massive spoiler tips as you play. I wish they wouldn't do that; the mechanics of the game are not that complicated and you've already picked up on many of them. A lot of the story spoilers reveal themselves during game play at the proper time. Unlike a lot of players you actually take time to read the PDA entries about your discoveries which gives you all the tips you need to play the game properly. Although their intention is good, *You don't need the story spoiler tips* from enthusiastic viewers. I'm pretty sure you are going to find this story amazing and I would like to watch as you discover it.
Super excited to see your playthrough of this! Some things I learned dealing with Sea Monkeys, keep your items stowed away until you are ready to use them, then put them away again. Haha! Sea Monkeys are a pain, but they are super cute and can be really helpful😉
I prefer the original over the sequel in terms of story. Granted, I'm a bit jaded since I spent way more time officially playtesting with the devs on the first game (and have my name in the credits) from nearly the beginning of the titles development to the final release, but the sequel was a bit underwhelming in story. One of the biggest problems is how did Marguerit Maida survive all those years in an ocean full of the virus? She should have been long dead, like the others from the Degasi. Graphically, it looks amazing, as expected, but a new writer was brought on in the middle of production to flesh out a new narrative and there are just too many plot flaws. I'm not the only one to notice the issues. Also, it looks like proofreading data entries wasn't high on the agenda since there are many grammatical issues and stupid dialog inclusions, like that "You're my sister" line. Duh, the character would know that, so why point that out? The environments are not as scary or unnerving as those in the original and there is way too much on-land exploration for a game called "Subnautica". The two semi-small islands were just right in the first game. And then you have the Snowfox hoverbike. That thing is a mess and best to be ignored. Like before, the Prawn suit with full upgrades and the grappling arms is the best thing to get around everywhere IMO. I barely used the SeaTruck, which is just a slightly better Seamoth. The game is still fun to explore, but its semi-rushed development should have been stretched out much longer like the original to fix the graphical and story issues. I did get a playtester credit, but my involvement in the capacity was only in the very early days.
I hope you take this series forward Fooster. Although I don't think it is as good as the first, and let's face it, how could they replicate all that was great about the first game, this game is still well worth playing. :)
How do they replicate the first game? Easy. Run with things that people liked about the first game and take your time instead of pushing out this rushed ESG cash grab.
In the original Subnautica the instructions that lead you to create the rocket were read by Thick44 and Neebs from NeebsGaming. It was a bit of a thank you from the developers with NeebsGaming's story-like interpretation of the game. It's unfortunate, but Thick44 sadly passed away early this year due to brain cancer. From what I could tell he was still playing games and in high spirits no less than 2 days before passing away. On a related note, "Getting Thicked" is defined as a normally avoidable in-game death that was brought about by overconfidence and a lack of planning. It's usually said by a friend you managed to convince into following you to said death, but it's quite possible to "Thick Yourself". :P

How do they replicate the first game? Easy. Run with things that people liked about the first game and take your time instead of pushing out this rushed ESG cash grab.

In the original Subnautica the instructions that lead you to create the rocket were read by Thick44 and Neebs from NeebsGaming. It was a bit of a thank you from the developers with NeebsGaming's story-like interpretation of the game. It's unfortunate, but Thick44 sadly passed away early this year due to brain cancer. From what I could tell he was still playing games and in high spirits no less than 2 days before passing away.
On a related note, "Getting Thicked" is defined as a normally avoidable in-game death that was brought about by overconfidence and a lack of planning. It's usually said by a friend you managed to convince into following you to said death, but it's quite possible to "Thick Yourself". :P
