- Fallout 76 new atomic shop bundle has some pretty awesome things within it. However, the Nodding Donkey resourceful camp item has a bug that comes with it. In this video, we go over how to fix it.

Pretty awesome looking new bundle in the atomic shop! However, the Nodding Donkey item has a bug currently with it. You can't place it if you have firewood placed in your camp. I cover that in this video as well to make more players aware over how to place it if they're having trouble.
bethesda duplicated the firewood pile, replace its textures with the noding Donkey change what it produced but didn't really change what it was so the game still sees it as a wood pile

Rifle, I have this glitch where I can't place my giant neon letters (the pink ones) , it tells me that I don't meet the requirements for the item. Can you help me out please sir?

The thing that gets me about pre fabs in this game is how you cant snap foundations or stairs to the prefabs, and build off of them for example, i got the bos armory and was a bit disappointed when i couldnt snap foundations to its foundation and create a clean flat space to buld on, make it look like a parade or training ground
I got the firewatch tower and i was sad to learn that i couldnt build on it to extend the balcany 😢 so i will just build my own tower
You can't snap to them but you can still butt foundations up against them and build onto it that way. Just takes a small effort

They probably give it the same id as the wood resource lmao
thats why you cant put this 2 items at the same time, it should be pretty easy to fix on their end

While trying to fix this, they should fix the Wavy Willard bubble machines. Stupid that you can only have 1 in your camp.
Use the flamethrower trap to destory the house, place a foundation, and stairs, and there you have it. I do it all the time when building stuff inside my house
Womp womp, it's a minor issue. And the older players don't even need a log pile. Wood is so abundant in this game.

@@EndtimeEnterprises I would rather have the resource collector because there's so many other things to do than gather wood. I've ran out of wood before. So it's nice to just come to my camp and pick up some wood to drop in my scrap bin.

I find it horrible that such house doesn't have functional fireplace... or doesn't allow you to put purchased fireplace inside. Same as that hunting lodge cabin which doors of the fireplace are closed so no fire can be used... ridiculous
Yeah, and they still haven't fixed the surfboard glitch with the shelves and wall decor not being peaceable... but we got more stuff in the store, so it's all good😅

Not telated, but noticed on expeditions. I think the ammo dropped has lessened.
The ammo drops are wildly inconsistent, regular mini gun average like 100 5mm per stack. Gauss mini gun average like 15 per stack. How?

Nah it does feel a bit less. I was collecting thousands of fuel in an expedition without looting much.
Now I loot just about all of them real quick and I'm still getting less.

I bought a mask pack because I wanted the player icon that comes with it.
Spent over 800 atoms. The icon is nowhere to be found, and I don't wear the masks.

they love leaving things out of descriptions. they called the utility box wireless and showed it with no wire connectors but when you buy it, it has wire connector and needs to be connected to things to work. nothing about it in description but it saying it's a wireless generator for your camp.
It's wireless for anything that doesn't generally need a direct connection to a generator. Plop one down around the middle of your camp, and all your lights will work without needing umpteen Power Connectors on every wall and lines strung all over like a spiderweb on acid.
Ya i found that out later. It sure isnt what it claims in the atom store. Even the item itself is different then the actual onw you get. @DeaconBlues117
It's wireless for anything that doesn't need a wire. You still need to use wires on things like water purifier.
I bought the nodding donkey. I was able to place the item with no problem but after several hours of use, it's produced less than 6 of the items it provides. Significantly less than other camp resource items. A real disappointment.

Can you put a fire in the fireplace of the honey haus and see it from the top?
I think the Large, medium,small fires or campfire can be placed or merged. I've seen them in other camps.

Didn’t say what max capacity is. Didn’t say how long to fill. Didn’t say if once the donkey is placed can you place the wood pile? I know tons of comments said it but I would expect the author find basic details relevant. Come on, do better. The Chinese are taking over.
Had the nodding donkey then got the wood pile and was kinda pissed that i couldnt use the 700 atom wood pile at same time..
Nice! They added something to the Fasnacht event that's worth getting. I was never interested in the masks, so I would never participate in the Fasnacht events. That motorized butter churner though, that's what peaks my interest.

Don't worry. I have never paid for FO1st, and inventory management honestly isn't that bad at all. I actually prefer the game without 1st as it seems too easy as it is already.

A simple fix, but my god this is pretty consistent, and this is from a new players perspective as well.
Buckle up buddy, it's only gonna get more pathetic. This is coming from someone who has played Bethesda games since Oblivion.
The actually sad thing is that anyone would give actual money for it, or anything in the Atom shop, working or not.
I hate that they havent done the you get the new plans first thing with this event. Ive done 10 and no new plans, just the old outdated decorations. So annoying.
Oh this glitch. That happened with crashed plane and one other item.

I just think them adding two items that produces oil is kinda enouraging people to play cremator. Thats all I see people use of late, I cant wait for the hype for that weapon to die down some. Maybe we can see more originality & less clones. But for now I wont be purchasing anything in the atomic shop this week. Nothing seems to interest me this time around in the atomic shop, sadly. I'll hold on to my atoms this time around.
what you don't like seizure inducing screen flash every 5 seconds ?
I mean , before the cremator there was grenade launcher spammers , which were worse as they launched bodies away .
Cremator can also heal your group with friendly fire and more importantly, heal the NPCs in radiation rumble .
I basically have Holy Fire in one slot and the Cremator in the other. Oil isn't the most abundant thing, vendors almost never sell it in bulk.
Didn't need that to encourage cremator. Without pa bloody build can destroy a daily ops and if ur using all the mods u can now get at max raider rep, using roughly 1k ammo or less and a net positive of around 2-3k. All u need is sizzling style and asbestos lining so u don't damage urself at all and u got a decimation cannon
@murdamooch lmao, nah fam. When you have been flashed more by middle-aged men with cremators than you ever have by local hoes in your city. You start to question your life choices, my dude. That's all don't take me seriously 🤣
The reason bugs like this happen is because it's easier to copy and paste a pre-existing item that functions similarly rather than create one from complete scratch. They'll keep both items identical during bug fixes, and I apply the correct cosmetics, animations, etc; once it's ready for release. However, it is possible for something to be forgotten or go askew. Hence why certain bugs occur. This is also why the pickaxes are bugged, why the Atomic Roller item plays the Pinball Animation, and why the early data mine for the Weenie Wagon showed the Popcorn Machine.
I should add that this is why you could kill Overgrown for the Super Mutant Dailies:
For development, the big overgrown were super mutants, the lesser overgrown were ghouls, and the pollinators were floaters.

Really really really appreciate this video about the nodding donkey bug but should I cancel the ticket for Bethesda customer support or leave it for a response? Don't get me wrong, I do want that item but I also like having the wood pile as well even though I'm gonna have to sacrifice it, for now I hope.
I didn’t know this bug existed, my budget was full anyways so I deleted a blackberry bush and it worked for me
Omg so nice! Im using a flamer and its not that I straight up struggle with fuel but I never rly get a surplus of oil bc I keep having to make fuel. Grabbed that candle maker and going hunting for the butter churner
What you need is an ammo converter from Mortimer at Crater. Feed it railway spikes (made from steel) and other junk ammo. These other camp items will help, but they are just cherries on top.
THAT explains why my wood resource wouldn't allow me to set. Also, I didn't get oil from it. Hope they fix this soon.
You can't place the wood pile after putting down the nodding donkey, either. It's one or the other for now, because some dummy gave it the same I.D. as the wood pile. Incredibly easy to fix, could be done in 5 minutes, but it probably won't be until the next patch, like usual....

All these camp items to produce resources.....back in my day we had to walk up hill both ways in the acud rain/nuclear fog to find our items then haul it back to scrap it 😆
I have a soft spot for fallout bugs but this isnt cool. Atleast there is usually always a workaround for these things thanks for sharing.
We had the same bug with the milk machine and the popcorn machine. They did fix it.

I was in the 1st Fastnacht event on the server I was on . At the end all I received was a notice that the event succeeded , Nothing was rewarded . . I do not know if anyone else had that issue , but I do know several folks got the good items 1st off .
I like that the Haus is all beat up, bugs my immersion OCD when camps are stuffed with brand new shiny stuff
They still need to fix the heavy skull weapon stand! The weapons go on but back to front, looks so stupid.

Wood pile is a useless resource generator. It too 0 seconds to get over not having it. You can pick up wood faster than it generates anyway.

Funny too it produces oil and nuclear waste but for some reason counts as wood so can't place wood logs down. Remember it just works.

Why cant we get modular building sets that snap with stair sections. Towers. Halls like on skyrim. Like vault tec dlc from 4

I got the bundle, but the fashnat or however u spell it event is bugging i completed the event got no rewards it popped up an disappeared an the masks uhh veryyyy hard to get.

It’s not a bug with the donkey , it’s just limited by the woodpile.
The same as smoke machines and wavy Willard bubble maker. Have to choose between them.
