We took the GLB out for a test drive this past weekend. We also drove the Hyundai Palisade. Personally, I found the Palisade too big for me. I like the room, but I don’t feel comfortable driving huge SUVs. We also have an elderly parent living with us. So the height of the vehicle has to be taken into account. I think the GLB checked off all the items on my list. First, the car does not feel like a big SUV. Second, it’s the right height- you don’t have to climb into the car. Third, I have a short reach (not tall person) and not having to lean forward to access the touch screen was a big plus. MB offers (standard) a kind of mouse pad right were your right arm (US) rests. So I can access everything without having to move from my driving position at all. MB also offers like a Siri OS for the car. So you can do a lot of things via voice commands. Fourth, the 3rd row seat option means you don’t have to get into a larger SUV in order to get extra seating. I felt comfortable driving it and I though the handling and shift transitions were very smooth. I think MB did a great job with this vehicle and we’ll be leasing the GLB within the next couple of weeks
Is that 3rd row really usable? The room isn't even that much in large SUVs let alone one the size of the GLB. Maybe look at the Audi Q3 and Volvo XC40, other high quality SUVs. Why not?
Benjamin Smith The third row is extra seating space- when needed. Better than no seats or having to spend an extra 10-20K on a bigger vehicle, which would probably end up costing more adding extra gas expenditures. I’m really not a fan of Audi or Volvo- I really have never liked their cars. Don’t like the interior or exterior of their vehicles.
I heard from someone right the day this was launched in the summer that they were sad that Mercedes did away with the boxier look of the GLK when they replaced it with the GLC. I had some good news to show them, and to be honest, I was in that same camp. Besides, until the GLC gets a full replacement which will still take a couple years, this is obviously much more modern as well.
I owned Mercedes for years and the new cars they build now are the most ugly ever built. To many models, absolutely horrible resale and repair cost that are completely unacceptable. I actually like this one because it’s different than all the others. Let’s see how dependable it is.
Lunga Swazi yes I know and I'm not going to argue with you. I just find it hard to believe when the reporter says "comfortable" in all seven seats in this small SUV

I own a GLK, I don't think any of these other cars and its size or anywhere near as good
Perfect size for city, family chores and week-ends in the woods
Absolutely not. In few years it can't drive in city areas. It has to be at least a hybrid. Beside that it's quite perfect.
Can't wait to see the local spec's. It's the MB I've been waiting for.
I have a 1999 4Runner w/bilstein suspension and roll bars.
I think I might *finally* have found a replacement in the GLB...
Great little all-rounder. Quickly becoming my favourite everyday offering from Mercedes-Benz
Very sad
i think of glb that i will buy it one day, hopefully at the end of 2020
As a man with the initials GLB, I feel like this was made for me!!!! Gotta get it
a tip : watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies these days.
@Israel Christian Yup, been using Flixzone} for years myself =)
This is THE SMALL SUV that's gonna win every battle.
Glad they figured out the ride, gla has terrible suspension tuning.
how is it 7 seater in sweden irs a 5 seater
Is it a large car let's say like cx9?
Ummm the roads in Spain are far superior to Australia. I know I drove over there !
Can’t wait to order my GLB35 with met black paint
Enjoy your power mobile. Hell stability control doesn't even let you turn without it intervening
Will sell like hot cakes. Fabulous design and road presence.
When I saw the price I nearly gassed put ipthought it started at 67 000 ot something
Can't wait to get one
I quite like it
This is the new Subaru Forester, the original crossover.
It's almost as long as GLC.
Just what the world needs, one more small truck.
And baskets too, we need more of those.
Subaru forester haha
I like that car tho

It's looks like a g wagon
It is very nice in the 3rd row until you get sick and you start vomiting all over the interior ;)
Very nice but the Peugeot 5008 is much better 👍
Say what??? Like comparing Mozart and Leicester City
Love Mercedes just too expensive.
Seven seat in a small SUV being comfortable? I wouldn’t think so for the passengers for the third row. Fake news🤔
it's a five plus two not an outright seven seat minibus.
Lunga Swazi yes thank you. Irrespective, it will still be uncomfortable. I have a BMW X5, also a 5+2. It's a hard squeeze in the back😂
@@rayleeaustralia unless you go for something huge like the X7 or GLS, you're guaranteed to get numb legs in anything longer than 30km/20miles

@@rayleeaustralia Hahaha! I just assumed he was referring to the suspension
