just watched a video from india tech showed. Success in using original bms just specific instructions were only works if you take 1st cell s 1s.t solder terminal should be common marked as V- solder point and then your last cells last solder point being the V+ ..since cells are in series connection youll have the battery grand total Voltagefrom whatever many cells mmight be. And using a bench top powerr supply adjust to the batt rated voltage and charge it for a while close to full . And they balanced themselves while bms woke up for him..
Is it possible to replace the bad batteries with good ones rebalance/charge them and tape it all back together to use again in the macbook?! Great video by the way.
@@brettwatty101 I am asking because I have 50 of them ... Is it more cost effective to just buy new ones? How much time would it take (if I had the skills) to restore the battery to be used again? Which connections are sonic welded? Thanks for responding and for sharing your wisdom!
Hi Brian. I have never actually tried it. The plastic battery case would be difficult to reassemble but not impossible. You may have possible issues with the battery BMS circuit if the battery is faulty it will be possible locked. Never tried tho.
@@brettwatty101 Thanks again for getting back to me! Tape instead of plastic is good for me, however, the circuit staying locked once it declares the battery 'bad' and not rechecking the battery status every time it turns on is likely going to be a problem.... Knowing apple you are most likely right about the BMS circuit. I suppose I could clip the wires from the battery to the BMS on a good battery and see if it works with the bad batteries BMS circuit, when it does not work, reconnect it back to the good BMS. Thanks! :)
Hi, thanks for that video. Are you planing to release a second one of that where you show how to savley charge them. Also are you thinking about to create a more universal arduiono charger also for that pouch cells ?
Hi, is it possible to replace the macbook pro 2012 (a1322) cell battery with a macbook white cell battery (a1185)? considering the same 6 cells, which differ in voltage (10.95V for a1322 and 10.8V for a1185). Thank you
Thanks mate; Are these the same as in the 2009 onwards white Macbook A1342? Look like it 🤔 I' also trying to find cells for A1181 packs - the price of the actual battery pack has quadrupled in recent years. Subbed 👍

Gidday - I have a 2013 Macbook pro where the batteries won't keep it going more than about an hour without charging - I'll to replace them soon - do you think I'll be able to salvage any of the existing cells, or are they all likely to be dying when it gets to this stage - I assume they are lipo
@Viral B.- im working on the same scenario CURIOUS which cell swollen for you? Would it be the 1 having the temperature sensor probe below it? ?? Mine was that and just noticed a hmm..moment ..just might have been engineeried with the gimmick on my battery..now this is acer Chromebook 311 but the flat battery almost identical with same bms and 3 cells, but STRANGELY the swollen battery not identical to the2 outside battery, and this gimpy one just happened to be attached to the temperature probe shutdown switch..aaand this 1 labelled as li ion polymer where the 2 outside looks better manufactured talker height and not matching markings.. now i could be wrong but on the label its li ion battery i thought the polymer makes it different and the 3s company of cells supposed to be identical twins or triplets...
What a soft and delicate touch.
How many amber this battery thanks

How money can cost to purchase 2 new battery and repair cost also
I do not sell or repair these batteries.

Yes but it is hard as the are sonic welded.

looking for an original apple battery for my 2012 mbp 13 in. Lmk if you have any!
can you wake up the electronics of the macbook air 13 (2013-2017) battery? the battery is stuck after the Mac comes in contact with water
Not sure if you can. But probably not a good idea.

Hey mate yeah I was thinking about it. I have a bunch to process so I will try to do a quick follow up video soon.

do you have a video on how you discharge these batteries?

I also removed cells and kept original pcb..is it possible to make battery bank with it
Battery bank from the batteries or BMS?

Sorry not sure what Apple Mac they come from. I just get the batteries from the shop. There seem two main types 506971 and 606168 form factor.
For what you're using the good ones after that ?
This is an example of what I have used those type of batteries for: th-cam.com/video/7klmE35WzFc/w-d-xo.html
How would you charge them individually? Its there a way? Thank you
You can connect an appropriate charger to each battery connected in series.
@@brettwatty101 thank you. I'm follow your advice.

Yeah they will be lipo. The pack is as strong as its weakest cell in series. So you might be lucky and get some good ones.
I have 2011 macbpok pro and one of such battery package swollen. Can i just remove one of them n replace with new one ane use the battery again?
Not sure as I have not tried. You may have issues with the BMS.
