Despite all the OTT gloss, note how they messed up the order of their packages following the Mark Rylance VT. All the straps went out of place and Ross' live tease was shown in the wrong headline package - presumably due to the 'Surprises and Controversy' VT going missing.
Blimey... as usual, ITV go way over-the-top when it comes to something special.
+PompeiiProductions I thought it was a nice little gesture, after all. The Oscars are one of the biggest awards, especially when several brits won.
+Tom Scrimshire Yes, it was a nice gesture, But the music, the stupid voiceover, the weird studio lighting coming out of the titles - it was all just too much.
I'm not saying they shouldn't do something special for the Oscars, but I think the way they did it last year was just fine. No need for any pompous music, just some new graphics.
