    I agree with Protech for sure a little more testing is needed. I’ve never used those Carpro two face towels. Guessing they were great looks like a nice pile towel

      They are very nice towels.

    Another grate video Mike. What lights do you use to control with your phone?

      Thank you. They are Costco lights. I think koda. I have a Bluetooth plug from Kasa to control them rather than using the remote.

      @@MikeGDetailing I have so many Kasa plugs. I'm assuming you're using a wall plug for these lights?

    Hey Mike, great video. In your opinion, how would you rate the Jade Obsidian vs Armour Pro Quartz coating?

    • @MikeGDetailing
      @MikeGDetailing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. This is a very good question. Armour Pro has been great thus far. It has been performing like day one for me after 8 months. Armour Pro definitely has more solids as you will need multiple applicators as it does harden up on the applicator after a few panels. Because of the high solids it does have more drag on the initial towel so be mindful with that second towel to avoid any high spots. It also has very good hydrophobics.
      Jade Obsidian is definitely the easier to apply between the two. What I do like is that it has two visual indicators for flashing in a little sweating effect nd rainbowing where Armour will haze and can be harder on lighter paints colors. The applicator for Obsidian will harden up to a degree but you won't need multiple applicators. I give the edge to Obsidian when it comes to the tighter water beading. One also does not have to go through the approval process like with Armour so one can get a professional grade coating with ease. Based on my experience with Jade Graphene Pro which was good I suspect Obsidian will be even better with the new formulation.
      I hope this long answer helps.

      @@MikeGDetailing Thank Mike! I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I have applied the Armour Pro on a couple vehicles and it's absolutely amazing. I have a car to do this weekend and won't have my Armour Pro order until next week, so with DK local, I picked up Obsidian to use this weekend. I will let you know how it is.

      @@danielfletcher1384 good thing Detail King is close by. I think you will like the application of Obsidian. It’s been off and on rain here so I have not had a chance to give my brother’s truck a proper wash to follow up.

      @@MikeGDetailing Hey Mike, I applied Obsidian today and did not like the wipe off. It was very grabby, but after the initial wipe, it wasn't bad. I noticed the bottle you had was not a black liquid. Mine was black and was purchased yesterday (2/2/24). Looking forward to seeing the first wash of your brothers truck.

      @@danielfletcher1384 I ordered my bottle on 8/11/23 and there is no black in it. It is orange. Unless that changed recently. The only one that I have that is black is the regular Jade Graphene coating. Send me a photo at the.gooz2002@gmail.com and I can find out what it is supposed to look like. Odd that you had difficult time wiping it off. Perhaps it was the temp and humidity.
