So Im still sitting on the fence with this product. I loved the feel of the paint the next day it was really silky and smooth. The gloss was top drawer. It didnt play too well with my collenite spray sealant, but wasnt a disaster. The buff is slightley heavier or thicker than poorboys blackhole. And the price is off putting. But I thought it had a bit of the wow factor this product so Ive kept it on the shelf. some of you might also like the dust repellency claims. I think overall its a cool product but Black hole still is my favorite.

Wonder what it's gloss reading and filling properties would be like on your black test panel compared to Black hole, Super Resin and Tripple? I've used super resin for decades and was looking to try Tripple next. Price and how it plays with others is key. Thanks for messing up your current fav combo in the spirit of science!

Love your videos mate.. After watching hours and hours of your videos, I’ve just finished polishing up my own vehicle.. Im not 100% sure I’ve used the correct products , but I’m absolutely thrilled with the final result.. Thank you for your guidance..
awesome to hear mate. so rupes advances you could use after s20. but really you would use S20 then seal or wax or coat. Or you could use Rupes advanced instead of S20 and it will polish (abrade) and protect. But the protection Rupes advanced offers is really good for an AIO so what you have done is fine. you should notive as well your paint is silky and smooth with rupes advanced. so yer what you have done is fine mate.
@@ForensicDetailing Yeah I used it at least 6 years ago. Got it in some combo pack from a detailing distributor. Tested it on a friend's car after a clay and one stage (when it really needed a 2-3 stage) correction. It was....fine. It definitely increased gloss, but I think it would have been just as easy to apply a cheapo consumer grade coating which would do some filling and actually protect the paint for a useful amount of time.

yer SRP is the same sort of thing. But SRP is more solvent based so you get that sweet hydrocarbon smell and its thinner to spread and work. Then SRP will haze out more into a dry crust with a bit more white chalky residue. I think SRP is acyrlic resin. SRP cheaper. SRP really needs topping. I think this had a bit more wow factor in terms of the finish though. This stuff never fully cures to a dry crust, more like a sort of polish residue feel where its still oily on the buff.

You can easily see you're putting no effort into buffing that off Jon its one handed barely resting on the microfiber
not quite true mate it needs a double or treble pass. but yes Im not buffing hard. I hate products that you need to pressure down on to buff. this isnt like a hard buff but its just a bit oily. poorboys literally is the dream buff for me though.
How are the haters going to love it when you are on the fence about it? 🤣
The haters love fences...
Is it worth the £10 extra over poorboys black hole?
this is the killer question. ultimately if I could only have one I think black hole edges it for me. Because of that thinner lighter buff. I hate it when I discover a bit of polish ive missed because it required more buffage. But that being said it had enough wow factor that I didnt want to put it in the cupboard with the other stuff I give away.
👍
I’ll stick to poor boys on my Carbon Black E86 then
We have to consider the fact that you applied this all wrong and when you buff this ,you need to use a damp cloth to remove excess and then buff to shine. Learn to do it correctly .
Yer we also need to consider the fact that your an idiot. So we show the product instructions in the video. They do not advise to use a wet cloth. If I do not follow manufacturer instructions I can get sued by the brands. Bed time soon Michael.
Jon I’m surprised you haven’t checked out ADAM'S BRILLIANT GLAZE… if you do read non patrion comments it would be a good content watch. Keep up
the great work 👍🏻
I love the Brilliant Glaze from Adams it’s great to use inside of the glass as well as the outside and the paint.Gets those windows really clean and streak free.👊🏼Great recommendation my friend
I think we had that on the channel back in the day ill do some googling cheers chaps.
Sorry but Chemical Guys, no thanks. If you want a true Mirror car show gloss shine, nothing better than Polish Angel High Gloss. 500 ml, $120 lol But WORTH IT 100%!
Different product m8 this is an abrasive glaze
Milky finish
Not so good
So many PoorBoys products overlap each other.
There’s about 8 useful products in their lineup. The rest (like this) is just another silicon based marketing filler, nothing revolutionary
the USA are the masters of these types of emulsions. I dont think either of these glazes are silicone based though.
500th like 👍
Jon, what is your favourite anime?
i dont really watch it mate. But there were some old classic animes I remember that were cool. like fist of the north star.
@@ForensicDetailing Yeah we're similar age so I knew you would like the classics like me too! I liked fist of the north star as well :)
Chemical Guys waaay too expensive, labels too blingy and full of waffle. If you’re a BH fan it’s like Chemical Guys are the other end of the scale….
I hear ya. lots dont seem to like the brand. And theres lot of stuff in there ive not liked. But theres some cool stuff to. remember like V7 back in the day. Petes 53. butter wet wax. the hex pads etc.. Stripper scents :) yes all blingy but dunno I just remember when I first got into this I really liked buying CG stuff for the fun factor but yer perhaps now Im older and wiser its less up my street.
How was the Pete's 53? I recently picked some up but have not tried it yet. Thx!
its a low durability wax on wax off thing. but I love it. proper beutique old school oily thing.
This has to be the laziest buffing I have seen on a video yet ever, I seen you spread the product yet no real buff.
Not sure if u watched it all we buff in the vid
@ForensicDetailing that's exactly what I'm talking about you did a super short pass and that's it.
Cg is, and always will be crap.
