I have autism and a masters degree in biology. When I finished school, I did a Google scholar deep dive on autism and do literally everything on this list except methylene blue which I may try. I even grow broccoli sprouts and eat them every day, and take every vitamin you listed (we’re truly on the same wavelength 😂). I don’t do a carnivore diet but do eat a lot of meat and eggs while avoiding gluten and dairy. All the plants I eat are high in polyphenols which are important for the gut microbiome which is also disturbed in autism.
I also recommend exercise. It’s been so helpful. The specific exercise types for autism are zone 2 jogging to build up the mitochondria, and zone 5 as-fast-as-you-can running to create physical stress on the blood brain barrier to rebuild it (you should make a video on this, the relationship between BDNF, cardio, and the vessels of the blood brain barrier, it’s very interesting) and to promote mitochondrial biogenesis.
Another thing that is extremely helpful is keeping a good circadian rhythm. I see the sunrise outside every morning, tan at noon for vitamin D (I’m not sure supplements are much help), and wear blue light blocking glasses after sunset.
Doing all of this for a year, I am better than I ever thought possible. It’s borderline a miracle.
    Thanks for making this video.

About polyphenols... They're actually plant-defence chemicals linked to cancer in humans. You should avoid them, in general. Check out the work of Dr Anthony Chaffee or Dr Paul Saladino. I can link you some particular videos, if you like. Take care! :)

0:00: 💡 The underlying cause of autism involves oxidative stress, inflammation, and deficiencies in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.
0:30: People with autism tend to have low levels of antioxidants, including glutathione.
0:46: There are deficiencies in vitamins A, E, D, zinc, selenium, magnesium, and omega-3 in people with autism.
1:49: A version of the carnivore diet, including eggs and seafood, is recommended to reduce oxidative stress and potential allergic reactions.
2:39: 🥩 Including selenium and zinc from foods like liver and shellfish, along with microgreens and cod liver oil, can provide essential nutrients for individuals with autism.
3:35: Microgreens and sprouts are rich in nutrients and antioxidants, including sulforaphane.
4:08: NAC and selenium can help build up glutathione.
4:25: Cod liver oil provides EPA, DHA, vitamin A, and vitamin D.
5:23: ✅ The recommended plan for improving autism symptoms includes taking methylcobolamine, methylfolate, coenzyme Q10, and methylene blue.
6:08: Methylene blue reduces oxidative stress in the mitochondria and improves autism symptoms.
6:44: Sulforaphane is also recommended for autism.

Its is a huge relief to receive this information. My 1st son was born early because my placenta was starting to calcify & was later diagnosed with autism. When I was pregnant I didn’t have much support, so It feels like a miracle to know I can heal my children. I used to feel so helpless and hopeless. I was even close to believing something was wrong with me & I didn’t want to give birth any more out of fear of not being able to give my children a good life. I felt so much shame for not being able to create healthy babies. But I see now I didn’t have enough support or information. This brought me to tears. Thank you Dr Berg

Eating egg yolks daily and seafood biweekly and light cream plus exercise has changed my life. I’ve always been scattered but I was raised on eggo waffles and Tyson chicken patties and fake butter. It takes like 5 years to rebuild a body. Methaline blue was the unifying ingredient. I found it from having Lyme symptoms. Not tasty but it’s like mental clarity drops. 10 drops every day or every other, woah. Minds clear and physically getting stronger and more coordinated. It seems like the V schedule makes all these metabolic handicaps and you end up with a human that operates like they’re hungover all the time. It’s unbelievable how hard it is to avoid damaging residues in modern society. You literally need to distill your water, avoid the whole middle of the grocery store, find natural fibers clothing, wash clothes with borax and not scented detergent or worse fabric softener, avoid shampoos, lotions and deodorants. I think a lot of social modern changes are from hormones being affected by saturation of xenoesteogen chemicals. Most people over 25 are not thriving, everybody has an uncoordinated gait. Versus film of people in 1900 and everyone moves very elegantly young and old.

@sarahflynn5762 The three most important parts of the GAPS diet are beef butter and salt. A person can live on just those three items alone. Any other GAPS foods are optional.
I've heard some wonderful things about probiotics. But your gut is a reflection of what you eat. Probiotics are for digesting plants. Meat and fat do not ferment. They are digested by enzymes and bile. They don't require probiotics and prebiotics.
If you have serious health issues, especially gut problems, you might want to give the carbohydrates a rest for a year or two. Just to let the lining repair and seal before reintroducing inflammatory plants and homogenized fluid milk.

Having worked with children with autism, I think it would be very difficult to get them to eat the necessary foods. What would be beneficial would be the invention of a complete vitamin and mineral liquid supplement the is odorless and tasteless. Children with this condition are hypersensitive to smells, tastes, textures and sounds. They have sensory disorders. They often eat a very limited diet. I have worked with kids who will only consume a certain potato chip and cracker which are both highly processed with little to no nutritional value. I really believe a liquid supplement is the answer because it could be added to whatever they drink or eat. I hope scientists will work on it because it is so important to their health.

    • @anastasiabrini9802
      @anastasiabrini9802 ปีที่แล้ว +32

My first question would be how kids even tried any cheerios or nuggets in the first place. I have three children and we never buy this stuff. One is autistic and yes, he is picky but no junk food. He doesn't eat meat in pieces but will eat meatballs or any ground meat sauce like bolognese. So I'm already thinking how to mix beef liver into those meatballs I make😅 parents teach kids eat candy and crackers and then get surprised why they don't like veggies

    • @karengrice2303
      @karengrice2303 ปีที่แล้ว +14

@@anastasiabrini9802 I agree with you. I think the public schools should only serve fresh unprocessed whole foods, but unfortunately, they serve mostly highly processed foods since private contract corporations have taken over the service. When I was a child, public schools had their own cooks that made everything from scratch. Parents could also do a better job at home by simply eliminating all processed foods. I’m wondering if because processed foods contain greater sugar , salt and fat, kids with autism that have sensory issues may be more likely to become addicted to these foods. It is likely better to not have them available. 😊

Some tips for the parents who are laughing thinking how on earth can they get their children with autism to eat any of these things hehe... 1) break open a dessicated beef liver capsule and mix the powder into some applesauce with some cinnamon. This works surprisingly well! Also, beef liver can easily be incorporated into pasta sauce and no one will be the wiser. 2) Selenium and magnesium can also be found in brazil nuts, which can be baked into so many yummy things or ground down and added to oatmeal. 3) Vitamin d can be bought in drops and added to any beverage you give to your child. Hope this helps!

I think you're right. I was diagnosed as 'high' functioning so i had no learning issues but i actually function in life very poorly. When I did keto I thought 'this must be how normal people feel' (had to stop as i had no access to a kitchen due to a renovation for a long time), almost all my very unpleasant symptoms improved including seizures which are more common in women and girls with autism. My good symptoms stayed.
Ive started again now. I definately believe in the gut brain link and inflammation. The best time for me was when I was eating fermented foods yogurts etc. I'm having a terrible time right now. I experienced psychosis for a few days which was terrifying. 34% of autistic people will experience this on and off through life. Doctors have never explained to me that it is linked to autism. My family are trying to make me take medication for it but I refuse. It's passed now but I need to get back on track food wise incorporating these recomendations. Thank you.

I have a granddaughter that was perfectly fine reaching all her milestones until about 18 months of age when she got her first MMR shot. She had a really high fever and she even broke out in a rash that looked awesome similar to mumps. This all happened within hours of her first MMR shot. After that she quit smiling she started banging her head on furniture back rests. She is now six years old. If she’s angry she growls at you she still bangs her head on furniture backs while sitting, it’s a struggle to get her to smile. It just seems so odd. Last year the school sent a notice that she had to get her second MMR shot so we had to get a note from her pediatrician stating she could not have another MMR shot. I just feel it’s so sad you can’t get away around these shots until the damage has been done. And because she’s so young you can’t get her to eat good things that are good for her. She will eat yogurt, the other day she ate corn on the cob, she likes a lot of fruits. But our food is so contaminated by pesticides and herbicides. She loves strawberries but that’s in the dirty dozen. Seriously with what the government allows in our food and what the government requires for shots to get in school we’re basically screwed as a society. They don’t give one rip if they are teaching an autistic child or a normal child at the end of seven hours they get to go home and rest and relax. Meanwhile moms and dads I have to deal with these children day in and day out. Children that have been damage from their toxic waste they put in us. Like fluoride come on! But who am I the crazy grandma. What Input do I have?

Gov't is corrupt and compliant with giving drug companies immunity from the courts. Throw in all the issues with cellular toxins and its no wonder the entire country is going down the tubes with chronic illness.

There is something you need to know. Humans are basically carnivores. We don't need to eat plants. We are much happier and healthier when we don't. Don't encourage your child to eat fruits and vegetables. There are some yogurts that might be okay. You may need to use an artificial sweetener. Stay away from vegetable oils. Don't have any garbage or fruits and vegetables in the house. Unless the child specifically asks for one.
Before the child gets hungry, make sure you make something for yourself that doesn't include fruits, vegetables, or processed foods.
Keep plenty of salmon, sardines, liver, lamb, beef, butter, bacon, and eggs in the house. And absolutely no bread, soda, or breakfast cereal.

There are so many people with similar stories related to that particular medication!!!! ( And many others too I might add..)...Possibly "Preservative Overload",' for sensitive children; from the preservative substances, put in with the meds!! ( I have personal knowledge of said disastrous effects!!! ..And I"m so sorry for all of your family's suffering!!! Words fail to describe the ongoing heartache; and hardship, and misery for ALL!! ) >> BUT.. I have a suggestion for you to try, if you're interested.. And it is this: >> Try getting some "activated charcoal" in capsule form, ( It's black and messy to deal with.. but worth it!!..It's cheap, and easily purchased at grocery stores, etc..) Just gently twist capsule halves till you can get the charcoal out into a cup of some kind..>> Mix it together with a cup full of "tasty yogurt that your granddaughter likes", and see if she'll eat it like that.. ( You can "not" taste the charcoal..but you surely can see it!!..So IF it's a visual problem,..try putting the "mixed charcoal yogurt, at the bottom" of the empty yogurt cup, and then just "put some regular yogurt on the top"!! ..And again, see if she'll eat it like that..Try this at least a couple of times, say over one week or so;..and see if it makes any observable difference, in her outward behavior at all....( Please note; It "can effect" nutrient absorption temporarily too!!..so it's not to be done all the time, for sure!!..But just off and on; and 'only as needed'!! The activated charcoal should 'help' to ABSORB (or "suck up"), any 'preservative remnants' stored in the body.. (..such as; any stray metals like aluminum, mercury derivatives, or even formaldehyde; etc..) and to help clear the body's cells in the process... ( Please note again: This would "not" be advised for any person on life preserving medications!!!.. as it could ABSORB most of them "out" of the body temporarily, as well!!!.. And that could prove very harmful!!.. Activated charcoal is a powerful absorbent!!! ) & BTW: ..I am "not" a 'practicing medical professional'..& I am merely speaking as one grandmother to another here.. People can treat the symptoms "till the cows come home"..but if the source isn't removed from the system, it's an exercise in futility, in so many ways..( Like mopping up water from an overflowing bathtub, without going to the source to turn it off first!!! That could keep you mopping,..for the rest of your life!!! ) You can simply consider trying this little suggestion, at your own discretion..And only as your granddaughters health allows..I'm just hoping this might help in some small way.. Wishing you only good health for the future..For you, and all those that you so dearly love..

I LOVE seeing the carnivore diet finally being mentioned. I did clean keto for 18 months and had great results from it. I also wanted to experiment with carnivore to see what kind of results I would have on it and I have to admit that I feel I did even a little better on carnivore. I struggled putting muscle on my 52 year old frame on keto but I could tell a huge difference when I switched to carnivore, was definitely easier putting on muscle and I recovered quicker on carnivore diet. Since my carnivore diet and having great results, I settled into a ketovore where I consume 90% carnivore and 10% plant based with high density plant products like avocado and blueberries and I'll make myself a mixed drink once per day with a mixture of moringa, chlorella, spirulina, green tea matcha, beet, flax seed, cocao and nutritional yeast powders. Although I felt absolutely great on carnivore and didn't really need any plant products, I do a little now just because I do love the taste of avocados and blueberries and I figure the superfood powders can't hurt me especially not consuming more than 10% daily.

It also gives faster results, is very easy you won't have to worry about meal planning checking ingredients and it healed a bunch of stuff that had been part of my life for too long. if l were to do this again l would dive straight for a carnivore diet.

I like and respect Dr. Berg but I do agree that nutrition and genetics have a role to play in each and every individual. Some genes get turned on at different intervals more than others.
I too study nutrition but not a doctor nor certified. That said, I understand everything he is talking about and I did all the right things preconstruction up to and through delivery, breastfeed, etc. In other words, I took care of myself by Dr Berg's standards before I know knew he existed but still one of my children came down with it.
I've seen this happen in my family. Sister in law a RD and a friend who is a ND. We all use nutrition and other remedies to help with the severity and symptoms but if something were to happen where we were not able to keep up the regimen, Autism will still be there. So, yes, we need to tread lightly when educate on nutrition but leave room for those whose genetics are just prone to take over no matter what.

Dr Berg. Many autistic children have taste and smell issues and will not eat healthy foods or take supplements orally. What can we figure out about how to correct the taste and smell issue? I am wondering about the oral microbiome and nitrates… ? Can we find a high concentration supplement that replaces fruits and veggies that will fit into a small capsule that’s easy to swallow? Ir should we give vitamin shots until we can get rid of the parasites in the GI track? Many kids with autism have environmental cause. They diagnose autism instead of checking B12!!!!!! That’s the problem! It’s tapeworms parasites… It’s being suppressed by the ova and parasite test and the brainwashing of the doctors. We have a parasite problem in the US and the children are being diagnosed with autism instead of B12 deficiency and other vitamin deficiencies… It’s a moral disgrace we are morally obligated to fix this. I’m starting with my child but I have had the fight of my life. Anyway, moving forward. I’m trying to correct this eating problem, its taste and smell. The things he finds horrible to taste, most people find taste nice.. or not bad.. Meanwhile he can only swallow small smooth capsules and only one or two at a time. Also he won’t take the required doses to kill the parasites. No one will help him.. they just won’t do anything… bc he won’t cooperate.. bc he’s cognitive problems psychiatric problems caused by the long standing vitamin deficiencies.

My biggest concern was losing the benefits of hyperfocusung that comes from ADHD and autism, but with the info from this vid, I now realize that the negative symptoms of stuff on the spectrum look to be related to negative health habits, befause I didn't lose the hyperfocus back then on keto, and I'd rather die than lose this power at my current stage in life.

And the asd kids in my family will just be stressed too because they feel they can't eat many foods, because of the texture, colour etc. Most eat meat, although one became vegetarian because of SM videos on animal cruelty, but then couldn't eat enough of a mix and became malnourished !! Someone needs to create a multi functional liquid that has all they need and we slip it into their drinks, although I bet they can detect it in their anyway !!!

All of my friends delayed their kids vaccines as much as they could. None of their kids have autism.

I have a 24-year-old son with autism. We have tested everything over the years. I'm surprised he has any blood left.🤭 His levels have become better over the years. He never had low glutathione levels, but his vitamin D and cholesterol levels have been a major battle. He was allergic to eggs so I could not use them to get some essential nutrients from them. All the nutrients you mentioned I was familiar with and have supplemented them. He is an extremely picky eater. His sense of smell is over-sensitive, but his taste is under-sensitive. He does a lot of gagging, but at least he tries to eat different foods. The methylene blue is really interesting. I have never heard about this one and am truly intrigued. Methylene blue was what we used back in biology class to stain bacteria for viewing under a microscope. I had no idea there was any other purpose for it. I will definitely deep dive into that. From what I have looked up so far, it may settle some issues that I felt were impossible in the past. Thanks for this one.

I will say I totally agree with you on diet but working with autistic kids I’ve seen some refuse to eat anything but one type of food. It can be extremely difficult to get them to eat sometimes at all. To treat them with vitamins and minerals and natural methods to balance them and maybe increase their appetite first might help?

❤ thank you Dr. Berg for sharing this information. We will make adjustments to our son's diet asap! He is in his 20's and considered "high functioning " I think that is harder to deal with because he looks and acts normal in so many ways but then has episodes or meltdowns or even what we call grandiose dreams....
I can't wait to try your suggestions here and see if we help improve his life.

I make my own fermented vegetables. I believe fermented foods really are life saving. I thought they need to be added to the list. 💚

Some autism is caused by genetic incompatibilities related to blood type in family lines. I’m 45X/46XX & a member of a fragile X family. We already know the cause of the autism in our family. So maybe you should change the title to say “some autism” or something similar. Keep up the good work! You’ve been really helpful to me & I am a fan.

@@mr.gilbert2790 My sister was autistic very young as a toddler, had to take motor skill classes, ect. shes now 26 and fully functioning independent adult that doesn't suffer difficulties. For her a lot of it was learning how to act and adapt to the real world. Tho I have heard it is easier for women with autism to do this as opposed to males. for me, it was changing my diet and environment. I do eat a lot of what's said in this video, i also have worked to have a stable circadian rhythm. a lot of autism symptoms is from toxin build up. When my autism symptoms were the worst was in highschool, I ate a ton of processed food, like goldfish crackers, oreos and soda. Not saying autism can be fully reversed, but alleviated.

Came to find out dad was "accused" of being autistic by teachers, some family members when younger. Does not seem to be vac caused in this case, it seems hereditary came into reason.

I'm not sure how getting the right amount of vitamins and other things mentioned on the video can turn someone who has autism into someone who doesn't have autism. Seems that once you're born that way, you don't "get over it" by taking supplements or eating the right things? Sure I can see how they would be beneficial, but not turning it completely around though?
