The awning looks nice, but it would be even better if it could cover the kitchen area on the front end, So that we could cook even if it rains.
Agree. Also still trying to figure out why you need bungee cords to setup the awning. You'd think with the price of this, they would've came up with something that's built in and/or looks nicer than the green bungee cords. Plus you need to keep up with the cords. Overall this is a badass camper.
@@bradobrien4371 prob cuz they couldn't find $1,000 cord so they could charge you more money for it.
Exactly what I was thinking. Like what the heck. That would have been my first thought for an awning. I do want to cook in rain, sleet, and snow. Duhhh. Lol
the pull-out kitchen looks very cheap with the sheets riveted together. I also think the pull-out is on the wrong side of the entrance door.
Half way through the video and extremely impressed. One thing that surprised me, though, it that the awning does not cover the slide out kitchen. That seems like a major oversight.
And a very common problem among so many vans.
Wow! 52 fricken minutes until he finally opens the door! This demo is LITERALLY the same amount of time as a full length movie!
I'm not ready to take the leap yet (still have a daughter in high school), but when she's off to college, I'm selling everything and living in an RV. This one, I believe, is currently at the top of the list. For years and years I'd enjoy my morning coffee on my front porch with my dog looking at the same house across the street. Day after day, year after year. Well....not anymore. I'll be able to pick whatever my view is and stay there as long as I want! Thanks guys!!
Thanks James! Many share that dream of waking up in a new place every day and discovering more and more of this beautiful world. We are glad you love the Roamer 1 and excited for you!
im right there with you...once my kids are older i want to sell everything i have and just live in an RV full-time.
Sold on everything except awning. That is a deal breaker
@@morph2011OMG. Get a stand-alone awning for $50. When you’re not cooking you can still use it. This is a $150,000 unit and you are freaking about awning coverage?😆😆🤮
Love the trailer, I just finished the exterior features. Guys you forgot a canopy over the kitchen ?
THIS TRAILER IS UNBELIEVABLE IN CONSTRUCTION AND THE AIRBAG SUSPENSION IS MIND-BLOWING AND SUPERIOR TO ANYTHING ON THE MARKET. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU ON CREATING A TRUE 4 SEASON, OFF-ROAD UNIT THAT IS SO INCREDIBLY ENGINEERED THAT IT IS MANY YEARS AHEAD OF ALL OF THE TRAILER MANUFACTURERS, IN THE WORLD.
When my wife and I looked at the X 195 it was cool and raining. Josh turned on the furnace. Oh so much nicer than our current travel trailer furnace. It quickly heated the trailer and so quiet.
I’m coming out to visit your ROA facility next month to see these in person. I think you did an awesome job designing these!!!!
61 years old, will be retiring in the next 8 years. Decided to start downsizing, getting rid of “stuff” and preparing for the day I drive & starting living with a new view every month. Single & Ready to live! Seriously looking at the this manufacturer to get an impressive off grid luxury setup.
there expensive good luck with that.
Check Bruder i think they have a better one
Ooooooooh my, i've been waiting for this. I'm going to grab my popcorn and drink real quick, it'll just be a minute. LOL
What a phenomenal and well thought out trailer. You simply cannot improve upon perfection, this my dear friends is "perfection". Thank you for making my Sunday complete. An excellent video as usual
Definitely talking the hubby to full time in this ,,,, we live in Florida we do not own and I really don't think Florida will ever be affordable again. So why not live everywhere!! Love this trailer!! You thought of everything!!! 🎉❤
You can think Joe Biden lol
The attention to detail blows my find! The outdoor and indoor kitchen os amazing. All the way down to the broom and dust pan! Killer set up!
Awesome - great work, great product - finally, an all made in the USA Off Road Trailer (ROAMER1/Imperial/Pause) without comprimises in quality, engineering, and equipment. Well done, and thanks for highlighting all the trailer offerings ROA sells. Keep up the excellent work!
The ultimate zombie apocalypse trailer🤯
I recommend that you have some sort of method for cleaning the Solar panels. If you truely want this to be a total turn key unit, and the unit depends on the panels, then keeping them clean would be a key component to have!
Thanks! That is a great idea!
Having some kind of hose to spray them down would be an awesome addition! Great thinking!
Yes, I've been following ROA since you guys started selling the Black Series, and I like how the Roamer 1 turned out. Making it possible to pick it up and go camping right away is perfect...a well-equipped, high-quality 4-season, off-road capable travel trailer.
Will my Avalanche and or my Tundra TRD PRO SPORT pull this with ease? Thanks!😎
@@patlsmith404 I think you need at least a 3/4-ton truck because of the tongue weight and GVWR. Of course, check the stickers on both the trailer and the truck to confirm the numbers before buying.
I know it sounds a little random but, of all the MANY camping/camper:RV TH-camrs, you are by far the best salesperson
Such an incredible complete tour. Time well spent.
The attention to detail is amazing (though my OCD went off with the 12V wiring images....) I dont know another manufacturer that offers so much in the way of inclusions - this is the result of the trailer being designed by someone who uses these trailers and understands the buying process. Very clever, well done.
Shane, You love and passion for what you do is never in question, the fact you take the time to go into such a detailed walkthrough raises the bar for how other dealers promote product The experience Center taking all of us out to the great outdoors to show this in the proper elements is just second to none. You are the real deal and you have my full undivided attention. Brilliant!
Nice product. I hope you get many buyers for this looks like a ton of fun!
This is amazing, Thanks so much
Wow! Great design! Well done!
This earth roamers are the future of camping and living off grid in luxury.
Dammmm! I love it!! Exceeding customers expectations, & like you say, Made to enjoy this beautiful country
OMG I love this one!
I'd love to know what kind of anti-theft devices you have for these things when you leave it be hiking in the mountains.
Very impressive!!! Keep up the great work.
Making a comment about the dealer add ons on the base price, While you were rattling off all those extras added to the Dodge, you mentioned wheel locks which they usually charge 60 to 80 dollars for. I recently bought a Ford Ranger without wheel locks. Found the locks I needed on the internet for 20 bucks.
I love the trailer. Great video. Great detail. You covered everything very well.
Wow! What a crazy cgi winter storm you had to endure!
It was a real winter storm.
Alaska here, we call that a light day. 😂
BAD ASS!
There are too many items to cover, but be it as simple as PHANOMINAL
I don't have to tell you, this is one of a kind, and definitly volts ROA to the # 1 spot on anybodies list!
Sadly, all travel trailers should be a ROAMER ONE
Thank you for the detailed video, as a Canadian this appeals to us dew to the four seasons we face.
Have you concidered a dealership up here in Ontaro Canada??
I am, today, not prepared financially to go any further, but be rest asherd, this is what I want my good money to work!!! If you could give me a dollar figuer on the ROAMAR 1that would help me get prepared.
Again, thank you, and congrats, enjoy the lofty number 1 position!
The website says $155,000
Amazing tour of a beautifully designed trailer. Having lived in trailers for many years, I would change the trash can swing door to a trash can pull out door. I like to have a tiny bit of access to my trash can at all times while cooking. I wouldn't be able to walk around the swing door, but I would be able to walk around it when it's pulled out a few inches. For people married to the thetford cassette tanks over the toilet with the refill cartridges. In the end, it will all equal out to the same price. The cassette tank does go bad and will retain awful smells after a year of use, the replacement tank will cost close to $350. You also can't go boondocking for as long on a cassette toilet, these cartridge toilets are definitely the better route. Next time I'm in SC, I am definitely making a stop to go tour this thing, I need something to go to AK in. My campervan is not all seasons and not off-road capable, I could easily live full time in this trailer!
Wow, I'm just blown away with this trailer. The thoughtfulness and detail put into the design is phenomenal! Omgosh the quality of everything is superior!! All the extras included is the icing on the cake😊 Even though it would be nice if the awning covered the kitchen, having it more open certainly helps with elimination of excess smoke and steam while cooking. Thanks for the awesome walkthrough!!!!
This is almost what I would want. Can they make this in a Split Twin Bed like the 2023 Airstream Flying Cloud. This way you have more isle space and 3 different people can bunk.
love it! i will just add the Cinderella 🔥🚽 toilet, some nice bikeracks and what about 2 plegable bunk beds above and lateraly on the main bed? i have 3 kids. I know the pause 19.6 is an option but i am in love with this creation. great dedication Shane, congrats also to all the ROA team. i been spending several hours finding THE ONE.🙌
Just curious, could a trash can be molded into the door to save the space under the cabinet. I like the door but the only storage their is for magazines or something. I think a trash can in door would be much more advantageous. Just a thought. The trailer is awesome!!!
You have thought of everything. Thanks for all you do.
Had a though that if an additional higher horizontal T-track rail along the sides of this trailer, like maybe integrate into the wheel fenders, so that way people could integrate additional T-slot fabrications into it. I know its probably too late to change that but let me know if you think that would have been a cool idea? Thanks!
e.g. once settled in a camping spot a family could hang tables for lots of counterspace next to the kitchen side, fishing racks, fold out laundry racks, hang a cooler... the sky is the limit! That top rail would be rather out of the way even with the stool. Having options is always best. I just know people can be really creative with what they can integrate with extruded metal accesories.
I stay on my trailer for months at a time and the main thing most manufacturers leave out is wardrobe space. They forget we need to put our clothes someplace. No one wants to live out of duffle bag. Glad you have the hamper. There could probably even be a bit more space for clothes but maybe in the overhead compartments.
Ok, you can pull it through a creek, but ain't $155,000 a Lil outrageous
Just wild. People are going crazy in the chat talking about how amazing it is. Once you add stuff on, then taxes, this is ~$200 k. For that much money, it better be amazing. Being amazing at that price point should be expected. Nothing to cheer about. Well, I guess we can't afford a house. Might as well buy a depreciating asset and park it somewhere.
Awesome! I’d seriously consider getting one for full-time travel nursing if only it had a twin bed configuration. Personally, I’d prefer a lighter wood color inside (like maple), without the high gloss. And the bathroom would be so much better if it were just 4-6 inches longer. It’d be interesting to see a J-shape lounge rather than U-shaped. Lastly, it’d be nice if the tongue were shorter - it adds soooo much length to the relatively short trailer box.
Not sure if anyone had mentioned it yet, and I hate to be a cynic, but regarding the Starlink dish and it's connection to the Roamer 1: are you not worried about it getting stolen? Someone unplugs it, picks it up, and walks away. Maybe you could put a mounting rack on the side of the RV? Something to slot the base into, and maybe with a lock? Also, about the connection port (brilliant, by the way), would that sort of front plug-in style not risk bending/creasing the wire over time? Could it not be done as a more vertical plug-in with a small opening at the base, so that the flip lid could be closed and locked? You may have already addressed these issues, but it was just something I was mulling over while watching.
Love everything about the roamer1/ x195, with one exception.... dont wanna deal with black tank, you got that worked out, but I also don't want to deal with cassettes or bags....and that is the only thing that I don't like.. Incinerator toilet, for me, is the way to go. Now the roamer X......can you fit one in it? I truly want to stay with "American made"...
I am sure they can put an Incinerator in the ROAMER. I have seen them install them in other trailers.
@@joseph4x463 from what I was told, " won't fit in the x195.. so that takes care of roamer 1 as well...hopefully it will fit in the roamer x...🥃
Yes they have installed them in roamers before
One Comment & One Question:
1. The only thing I wish the Roamer 1 had that the Pause has is the twin stargazer windows.
2. Does the Roamer 1 (or any of the other trailers you mentioned) use goop (yes, I call it goop) to seal roof joints and seams? My number one pet-peeve with the RV industry is their use of goop that needs to be serviced several times a year just to keep the RV watertight.
I agree with #1.
Stargazer windows leak
@@bartman1857 So... are you saying Imperial Outdoors couldn't design and build better Stargazer windows to go on the better designed and built Roamer 1?
Or not use goop as a sealant, which is why I asked question 2.
@Living Beyond Existence maybe but two huge holes in your roof especially in the down slope is asking for leakage. I bet Shane knows this and doesn't think it's a good idea. What I do is right before bedtime around the camp fire after a few double IPA's I take a mental picture of the stars. Then when I go to bed I close my eyes and imagine looking at the night sky .
Not sure about goop. I know if you cut a whole in your roof and place a window or an AC/fan in the whole you have to use some sort of sealant. Or do you know another way to seal?
@@bartman1857 Automotive windshield sealants. I've never had a windshield leak, even after 20 years.
My best stargazing memories are from sleeping in the back of my pickup.
Hmm they designed the starlink connection?
I have that on my RV. I built it, but yeah there is a TH-cam video to show you how to do it, a little better.
But cool it comes stock, that's awesome.
Impressive trailer.
Should have let the air out of those airbags to get the clearance you needed for that tunnel (if you guys didn't already) idk if there was a vid on that or not this is only the 2nd vid from this channel i've seen so far.
Also for the price tag I would have loved to have seen some type of laundry machine. Being able to stay out for long times is great and all....but not so much when you run out of clothes to wear lol.
CONGRATS!
You are getting an almost perfect trailer from my stand point except two things. I would like to see awning cover kitchen area and be able to sleep four.
Excellent trailer!!!
Wow it’s amazing thank you….
Every thing is awesome except for the awning. I just want to push a button and get on with my day.
Absolutely loved this camper until I saw the toilet and that they are still using compressed cardboard faux wood cabinets and bases ugh.The toilet for me is the worst,I’d rather have a black tank instead of buying expensive toilet bags all the time.
I’m 💯 in agreement . Loved everything until we got to the toilet . Total deal breaker .
You can option it out
Blank tanks suck. Composting toilet is better
OVERALL Impression: WOW! Just... WOW! Love so much about this; on the short list for land yacht(ing) options. Quite evident that great thought and planning went into this.
I would think that instead of blue, that Red as an alternate light color for the bed/ reading lights would work to preserve night vision and minimally wake/ bother others. I'd also want that if there's a similar cabinet to the right side of the bed, that the gun locker could be placed on that other side as an option.
Is Pit Boss a quality brand? Everything else seems to be superlative; perhaps confusing it with another-- hope that griddle unit is good quality materials and construction that won't degrade over time...
I can't tell you how much I hate that awning. I want a "small work" experience to set up camp. Can you please option the same awning that is on the Pause? Seriously, I wish I could get the Pause and Roamer to have a baby to incorporate the best parts of each.
I am sure they would option it for something else. They are the options kings. That is the whole reason I want to buy from them. Mods!
Great review! Nice rig 🍻
Btw one name for those strenthening plates along the frame, is called a fish plate...thats what we call them in our shop.
Congratulations on a really well thought out camper. A few questions. The mid-atlantic and south east can be very humid in the summer months. One thing I'd really enjoy is a little stronger air conditioner. You didn't mention if the batteries can be charged off the alternator. A second alternator with wiring run to the camper will keep the charge as you travel and if need be you can run the engine to charge when solar isn't enough. That would be a good way to boost the batteries for a stronger a/c. Also, I like two fans to control condensation, but one fan with a window works. Again outstanding design. So thoughful!!!
Is it possible to add some part of privacy partition between main bedroom and living area?
Yes. We have done this for many people
Really looks great! If you give me Garmin digital switching, and Victron, you have me sold.
Yes, that would be great. Check out our Pause units. Everything is controlled by Garmin and uses Victron.
what is the vertical load on the ball (towbar)?
can your trailer tow a 4th generation cadillac escalade (short)
I would recommend you to do a couple of wireless charging on the edges of the beds. It is convenient to charge your phone wirelessly.
and a voice assistant to control the light and TV.
LOVE IT!
Saludos desde México excelente ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The twin to king convertible is a good idea, but do it so getting in and out is easy. Basically, it can't be a Murphy bed style. So, have only large overhead storage with drawers under the beds that can be opened from both sides. The beds can slide on a roller system from the head and foot. I like the patio, but make it as a couples camper with a sleeper sofa or recliners, etc. The length is ideal, as is the construction overall. Maybe consider an waterless toilet for adding bigger fresh and grey tanks.
Shane, Would it be possible to get rid of some of the cabinets in the toilet (to the right) and put in one of those small washing machines on the wall like they have in the Aussie Caravans?
We don’t have a set up like this yet. The Pause units may have a washer option coming soon.
Shane, Is it possible to lock down the shovel and the axe......? Would hate to see them get stollen...!
So if you used every single unit in your lot's selection, are people buying already used units? Or did you buy and own each unit you've personally taken out and abused? Because when that putz JD interviewed you, you said that you took each unit out and used it personally. So do you use them and put them back for unsuspecting customers to buy or do you now own each one of the ones that you took out personally?
I really love your company. Definitely unique in the industry. The Roamer1 would be perfect with victron instead of gopower and if they would ditch the wood for composite or aluminum on the inside. I'm also wondering why they went with the Dometic 12v instead of the Truma 12v air conditioner that has more BTUs...efficiency? Other than those things it's an incredible trailer and your videos showing off their capability are fantastic!!. BTW...is there a vent over the kitchen to exhaust when cooking?
Thank you for another great vid! Tremendous repacking an already great product!! Great work!! Couple questions: - How feasible would it be to install a different stove inside and have it plumbed for propane? In the fantasy of my mind's eye, a two burner stove top combo with a small hybrid convention oven below?- Any plans for your own toy hauler like the one that Imperial discontinued?
Do you feel the need for a weight distribution hitch when you are driving down the freeway or is it stable without it at freeway speeds - even with some crosswinds??? Thanks.
It tows incredibly well. We have not used any WD hitches with any tow vehicles and this has been at 80+ MPH speeds with wind too. Tows like a dream.
I have to agree, why doesn't the awning cover the outdoor kitchen?
Theres no microwave convection oven inside?????
Not only you can't put the bed away but you have all the electronics and batteries underneath with ZERO FIRE SUPRESION SYSTEM. The massive permanent sitting area and that HUGE bowl in the bathroom are completely ridiculous !!! Everything else is perfect !!
I'd love to see an rv with a fire suppression system for lithium batteries. Hint: They don't exist. You aren't putting out a lithium fire.
@@TravelingStacker Not very smart floor plan I was saying !!!
@@jctrade2044 :Don't buy one then.
@@slavitch brilliant!!!
@@TravelingStacker you need to use battery cells from byd blade
32:28, why is the door rusted at the hinges and bottom lip?
I saw that too! Also, it looked like flex hose was connected to PEX fittings using PEX crimp clamps....with all else done so well, why not do the plumbing right--like you would in your home? As it is, those incorrect fittings will leak sooner than later. Plumbing 101.
The only thing here in WA, where it rains alot, I would love to know if you could custom make an awning over the kitchen and door. Another thing...can you make one stairs into a ramp for those on a walker or a lift for those not able to climb in?
first class.
Thanks for making this video. The wife and I are shopping for our first camper, and are very interested in this model in particular. We have 4 boys under 10 so its going to be tricky to find an off grid camper for a family of our size with all these features. But the one thing I havent seen in any of the reviews is the optional awning tent. If we could use that tent to put some cots and sleeping bags outside for the boys without exposing them to rain and dust it would be perfect for us. But all I have seen is a black and white photo of the tent measurements. No idea how difficult it is to set up or if even possible without a second ladder and two adults. Any clarity on that would be appreciated.
You can get an additional room that zips onto the awning that is already installed on this unit. The Awning is an Overland Vehicle Systems awning, here is a link to the room. reconrecovery.com/products/overland-vehicle-systems-nomadic-270-awning-wall-for-driver-side-complete-kit?variant=44672980254879¤cy=USD&gclid=Cj0KCQiAhc-sBhCEARIsAOVwHuQK6vm2rOMax1_iAd5_4xLeKt5Od_Bu9ChcMLfDG-EFQbmHhcMm9YAaAhXuEALw_wcB
Only this one request, next year We would love to be able to watch the stars at night from the inside of the Roamer, also have more space on the toilet and get all kinds of improvements in terms of suspension level (wheels fixed on the floor all the time).
Reading through literature on the batteries, it would worry me having them under the bed without proper air circulation, however the storing of said batteries below the freezing point is also an issue. You have to remove them to an indoor location when storing the trailer outside or in an unheated building for the winter. Is that area easily accessible and would yearly installing and removal cause loosening? Kitchen area, yes to tarp, also interchangeable grill tops. Cheers.
Awesome trailer, and what a great video. My one question is, why didn't they make the trailer 1-2 feet longer so that the bathroom could be 1-2 feet deeper? It looks extremely tight in there.
Love your demonstration! I bought a 2020 Grand Cherokee Summit with 8 cylinder- 5.7 Hemi with tow package. Some articles seem to put my Gw weight at 6500 some say 7200. Would my Jeep pull this trailer?
These are really nice but you need the right rig to pull it. The hitch weight, the tongue weight, the total weight of the trailer. .. you need proper air shocks once hitched so your not floating down the highway - like shown in this video in the beginning with the trucks front end up in the air because the hitch weight was not distributed correctly. These are nice and also expensive…
2500 RAM with towing package. Will bounce your kidneys into next week while NOT towing but when towing, it's leveled and rides like a Cadillac. No bags.
Does the roamer come with air setup so you could air up and air down?
Very very. Nice!!. Now how much cost for the new ROA 1?. First timer!. Amazing. Thank you!.
So in the case of an ion lithium fire your bed is the first thing to set on fire? What safety precautions do you have if one over heats?
These are not Lithium Ion batteries, these are Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries which are incredibly safe. You can google and read many articles about Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, and their pros and cons. One of their main pros, is that they are very stable and safe, making them a great choice in RVs.
That plug you "designed" looks a lot like an RJ-45 connector 🤔
It would be nice if one of the indoor induction burners was portable to take to the outdoor kitchen.
You can buy those all day long. I wanna know where the microwave and convection oven is. This is NUTS
You guys fumbled the football on the 1 yard line with that bathroom. Us older guys like a power awning and is it 1/2 ton capable?
How do you secure the axe and shovel..? are you able to pad lock them against theft?
what brand of kitchen sink is that?
So why did you not add a second awning to cover the front half of the front side
Great Aussie components & inspired ZONE RV A frame and look extrusion etc. Did you let tyres down to get through tunnels
Its a really nice set up. Ive pulled all kinds of campers all over the us to different dealership but for that price your not paying for Quality your paying for the name ive seen this to many times in the 20 plus years ive moved campers.
I like the outdoor kitchen and the inside induction cooktop. I also like the fact that everything is included (sheets, cookware etc.,) but, I don't like that shower, (too tiny).
What about someone trying to get into the trailer when you are sleeping? There's a lot of odd people out there!
I don't remember seeing a fire escape, is there one?
When are they going to have an interior set up for small families? We know the technical aspects of camper and its awesome but i would like to see more comfortable sleeping for kids
My only issue is the toilet. Could an Incinerator toilet be installed. I don't want poop bags
Yes. I agree. They put one in the UEV. Of course they can do it in the ROAMER 1. That is what these guys are famous for. Mod squad! Lol
When I visited Utah, I saw a Roamer 1 with the Cinderella Incinerator toilet installed. ROA did a beautiful job installing. It looked factory.
So, no black water tank???
Id only change two things. Id prefer the two burner induction not be built into the counter. Have it separate in a drawer all snug like the other stuff. So I can use the counter space if need be. Also no worry if somehow dropping something onto the induction and breaking it. Then I’d switch the toilet for a composting toilet.
Would it be possible to have one of these custom built with dual opposing slides to maxamize interior space?
