We're planning on a Saturday afternoon viewing of Joker. I agree with media creating a narrative that could cause the thing they propose is possible even though it may not have been on the radar before they mentioned it.
I've cooled on Joker because it seems to be more of a character/psyche study as opposed to the story of him becoming a crazed criminal mastermind. I was hoping this was going to be an origin story that became a crime thriller not a Color Purple style story of a man who all his life had to fight.
Went to see Downton abbey tonight and it was bittersweet that we were the only 2 ppl there. It helped us clap and cheer and laugh freely but I felt sad that no one went as well.

I had the opportunity of watching Joker yesterday. Now, I'm not a huge fan of the character, but I have to say: I liked the movie quite a bit. The third act was my favorite part, and even though I already knew some spoilers, I didn´t mind it. The movie is dark, but I expected it to be even darker. Phoenix did a good job, and I wish we could see his Joker fight Pattinson's Batman.
