With John connor dying in childhood the entire franchise makes no sense (I haven't seen dark fate so Idk if they somehow explain away the plot holes made from John never leading the resistance and sending someone back in time to save Sarah in the first movie)
Joker is a stunning achievement. Easily the film of the year with one of the greatest lead performances of all time. Terminator Dark Fate is an insult to the fans and the legacy of T1 and T2.
Everything after T2 doesn't exist for me. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a great spin off (better Sarah here than Genysis) & Terminator: Salvation has some good moments, but I see them as alternate realities. I watched Terminator last night in a cinema here in Brazil. I liked. It was a fun ride with great pace. It was a B+ for me. It totally deserved to open with 40+ million. It's the kind of film to be experienced on the big screen.

As much as I liked Joker I really don't want a sequel, I think being a 1 off that wasn't connected to the DCEU was part of it appeal. It stands very well on it's own and I think it shows that not every big blockbuster needs a sequel these days.

Took my son to see The Addams Family today and the 2:35 showing was sold out. I was surprised that it was still running this strong here in the first weekend in Nov.

Yes, and doing that they made T1 & T2 pointless. They ruined my favorite & beloved T2 movie for this...my favorite movie of all time, and they killed off the whole franchise to the point that now I just don't care about any future Terminators.
I was so mad I almost walked out in the beginning. As far as I'm concerned there's T1, T2, and Salvation.
I love Dark Fate, one of the best Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Still, the franchise is still lost its footing after that shockingly low opening at the box office. Just like The Hollywood Reporter article, Hollywood just needs to stop making great 80’s properties into money grubbing sequels we don’t want.
