Josh didn't have effective plays to ready resources with. He did it when he had plays he wanted to do. He was baiting out fleet lieutenants so that they wouldn't buff sabine with them. He made Aaron over think his plays and it worked.
I think the one trigger that was definitely a miss was the one early in game three. Taking out the threat and then following up with the Waylay would have about sealed the game right there. Thanks for being a part of the channel!
FYI for game 3 fighters for freedom is a “may” so if the owner of the card forgets then you don’t deal the damage. So you need to keep the damage as it shows on board state
Nice video, great commentary! Don't know if it's something you can fix, but there were three games in this match and you've only got timestamps fort game 1 and game 2
Thank you very much! Something that was pointed out by another viewer is that the timestamps can spoil things a bit. I think moving forward I may just timestamp the first game, just to make sure I don't spoil anything.
Josh did a lot of miss plays in games 2 and 3; specially not removing or prioritizing keep his units on board and attacking base. Game 3 shouldn’t be that close and could be finished earlier. Even though was lucky enough to end winning
I think after playing fighters for freedom and then sabine it triggers the ability to deal one damage to a base for playing a red card (sabine leader)?!
What a misplay from Aaron in the start of game 3. He shouldn't have pinged with Sabine, to keep initiative. He did 1 damage, with initiative it would have been 3 with the Marine.
@Next-GenGamingSC Yep and not only this particular choice made him lose 2 damage instantly, but the initiative would have had so much value in the long term. Also, later on he greeds by choosing to play Red Three to add raid1 on his Fighters for Freedom, which is already 5/5. Against Boba Yellow it's super greedy, and he immediately gets punished with a Cunning that ends the game on the spot.
@@tristanconus3063 Great points. Boba Yellow can punish you real fast in situations like that. The one additional power on attack from Raid 1 is generally not worth the extra action.
Oof, I'm just getting into this game, but Cunning seems way too busted of a card. 4 cost for a shut down for a turn with, little to no counterplay seems pretty ridiculous. Sure, you can slow roll, but unless you are running a very low curve, you can get blown out easily. But too low of a curve and you can get blown out by vigilance decks by not being able to race quickly enough. With many of the top decks being yellow, and either running in the main board or in the side, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets hit in the future.
I personally have not played around with Sabine Yellow any. If it has a better matchup into Boba Green, that would certainly be a good reason to play it!
Excellent commentary. Very professional. More of these kind of videos please. One of the BEST play by play videos on YT!
Thank you so much! A lot more of these will be coming soon.
This was a really high quality production! Commentator is fantastic. Feel like listening to a pro golf match or something lol
I really appreciate that! My goal is to bring the best production possible.
Best commentary I've seen so far regarding swu tournament matchups. Keep it up and please more! 😊
Thanks for the comment! There will be plenty more to come, with some new content dropping this week!
Great commentary, I was going crazy though with the boba player missing his leader trigger basically every turn
Thanks! It was unfortunate for sure and almost ended up being a deciding factor in the final game.
Great commentary and also a really nice feature showing the last played card. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Commentary always good. The PPGames live stream was awesome can’t wait to see some of the clips posted to TH-cam.
I appreciate it! I am looking forward to going back and watching those matches.
Camera quality looks pretty clean I like this view.
Please more of these kind of videos. Can have on in the background while I work and learn.
More coming this week!

the man on the right has missed half of boba's triggers, he could be accelerating hell of a lot faster
This is very true. Hopefully it was a learning lesson!

This is an excellent catch. Thanks for pointing that out.
Nice video, great commentary!

Commentator is BEAUTIFUL good god
Thanks for the awesome compliment! I appreciate your support!
Great commentary
I appreciate that!

Excellent video.
Thanks!

The leader is considered to always be in play. In this case, you are 'deploying' the leader and not 'playing' the leader.
That mulligan was needed
Maybe…
Liked the quality
I am glad you liked it!
Great video........
Thank you!
Comeback??
What a misplay from Aaron in the start of game 3. He shouldn't have pinged with Sabine, to keep initiative. He did 1 damage, with initiative it would have been 3 with the Marine.
This is an excellent point. After playing with Sabine a bit more, sometimes it is very important to get the initiative and guarantee more damage.

@@NextGenGamingSC Exactly, after having been punished like 3 times in a row, I never play Red Three before attacking ahah

You do make a very fair point. Cunning is definitely one of the strongest cards in the game right now, no doubt.
I think sabine yellow is way better. Mostly wins against boba green
