8:40: When I was taking astronomy, we were talking about how water has a particular property that it shares with alcohol that makes it possible for it to sustain life. I jokingly asked "Does that mean there may be a species out there that relies on alcohol to survive?" The professor replied "Actually, there's one that exists right here on Earth, they live right over there, in the dorms." Funniest guy I've ever learned science from.
Here are my ideas on how to keep the theme: Regirock - Stone Age Regice - Ice Age Registeel - Iron Age Regidrago - Middle Ages Regieleki - Information/Digital Age Regifire - Bronze Age (since fire is necessary to forge bronze) Regiwater - Cambrian Explosion (when most life was underwater) or Age of Exploration (they had to travel by sea) Regipoison - Industrial Age (factories cause a lot of pollution, especially when it first started) Regiground - Mesozoic Era (really the only thing I can think of. Maybe because most of all life from that era are fossils?) Regidark - WWI or WWII (due to the amount of death and despair going on during those times) Regifairy - Classical Antiquity (hard to differentiate this with Regidrago) Regifighting - Miocene epoch (our early ancestors had to *fight* to survive) Regiflying - Jet Age (I saw a flying regi form that looked like a big jet turbine) Regipsychic - Space Age (a lot of psychic-types are themed after space) Regibug - Carboniferous Age (big insects) Regighost - Victorian Era (the time period most ghosts are represented as having been from. Also when books like Dracula were written) Regigrass - Agricultural Age (humans made plants our playthings) This was a bit harder than I anticipated. Some of these aren't exactly "Ages", but it was hard to think of an era representative of things like "fighting". Edit: For Christ sakes, here's why Regidark doesn't represent the Dark Ages: Regidrago already does! The Dark Ages are just the first part of the medieval era or medieval age, which Regidrago represents. I wanted to choose different periods for each one and try my hardest to not split broad time periods (like the middle ages) into their different parts
"Regidark - WWI or WWII" Regidark would be better suited in the "age of depression" or more well known as the great depression. "Regifairy - Classical Antiquity" Regifairy would work way better as the "age of enlightenment" this is when roma's changed from making all decisions based on god, but rather logic and reason. But other then those two you did a fantastic job.
Honestly, I think the dark type should have been called 'Regibyss' a bit like Regiternal as they are opposites. Plus the aura of an abyss in battle would just seem so much more dark than a plain dark pokemon
Fire could be Industrial Revolution or Prehistoric Times. I didn’t even think of agriculture, but I agree with you. You could have Water and Ground together for the Age of Discovery
I think the concept of them representing a historical period could be maintained, but instead of being one for each, being in a groups. Psychic, Dark, Fairy and Ghost could be with Dragon for medieval. Poison, Flying and Eletric for modern. Fighting, Fire and Rock for pre historic. Grass, Ground, Water and Bug for ancient ages/pre human.
A valid point! Though, these were all made by different creators, for the sake of this video we can pretend they are all in the same universe and use the groups idea!
Or even just more finely dividing the time line. There were several centuries between the end of the dark ages and the invention of the light bulb left unaccounted for. Generally people will subdivide the span of time the electric Regi represents into multiple ages. There is so much more potential for more Regi.
We can also extend the time frame to before humanity and the future. Psychic fits the future as it is unknown. I imagine an abstract kind of Regi like the Fairy one from the video, we can't tell how the future looks like so a weird shape is the best for it. This Regi is capable of telling the future. Humanity sealed it away for believing it brought disasters and plagues even though the Regi just warned them.
Maybe we could have a kalerex/ kyrem situation where they fuse with the 5 main regis to represent eather events during that time or what could honestly be assumed. For example, poison could fuse with all but elleci referencing how as we grew in knowledge diseases were eather stoped or outright killed due to modern tech and medicine.
Regiternal is now my favorite fan creation for Pokémon. It’s insanely perfect. Imagine it’s ribbons gently floating and rotating around them while it’s eyes somehow stay perfectly in place.
Jack’s Regibrute is probably my favorite of his three Regis but the lore connecting all three with regiwood and regiternal I think is what really makes the design as a whole.
Oof seriously? Are you above 10yrs old? The lore is excruciatingly bad! The designs weren't great generally but Regi Brute is atrocious...it looks like one of those randomly generated A.I drawings
@@micabryant4513 exactly how old do you think Pokémon’s target demographic is? Because last time I checked 10 year olds was exactly who they aim it at.
Personally, I feel that a Water type Regi could represent the Age of Exploration, since many people used ships to navigate the globe, and a Fire type Regi could represent the Industrial Age, since metal refinement in steel mills began around this time
I like the idea of “regi-prototypes” that could explain the regi’s made of more random materials like a bee hive or a a slab of the ground. Makes it seem like regigigas was experimenting and you could find them in a “regi-scrapyard”
i love that idea! maybe in a future pokemon game we can learn more about the regis and this could become a reality. maybe a concept for new pokemon could be regi prototypes which can be encountered in the regi-scrapyard.
I would love to see a type swapping of every starter. So Bulbasaur as both Fire and Water, Charmander as both Grass and Water, and Squirtle as both Grass and Fire. But for every generation. Maybe also a Mew for every type
@@PragMagik I also love the gimmick concept of type swapping. Like either you can swipe you pokemons typing with another in your party. Like if you have a charazard and a sylveon, you can swap there types so now charzard is fairy and sylveon is fire. or type swapping where it inverts you pokemon's type
Lore idea for the ones on 9:26: Regigigas saw a fight between Groudon and Kyogre break out and thought to itself ""Hey, what if I recreate that but with my children?" and proceeded to make Regiydro and Regigneo and convinced them that they hate eachother. That's what dragging continents with ropes for hundreds of years does to a mf.
"what if I recreate war but with children?" sounds like a great idea heheheheheh... *10 minutes later* OH MAH GAWD THIS AINT GOOD HALF OF MY HOUSE IF FLOODED AND MOST OF IT IS ON FIRE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH
1:23 flying type 1:45 block regi 2:18 bug type 3:31 punching bag regi 4:03 full metal alchemist 4:32 biblically accurate angel 5:50 Brain regi 6:34 Dark, darker, yet darker 7:17 Regi Cough 7:43 Victorian regi 8:33 cambrian regi 8:54 arson regi
Honestly I think that the fairy and dark regis could still fit with the age theme. Namely as representations of golden and dark ages respectively. Appearing to civilization's either at their highest points or as their collapsing
My headcanon is this: When Arceus created the universe, it envisioned the idea of each of the elements that would go into it, and sought to emulate what it had done with Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. So when it came time to fashion and order the world, it created three Pokemon; Regigigas to shape the physical matter it could grasp with its hands, Regiternal to govern the elemental forces beyond Regigas, and Regidark to embody the living things that would fill world and were beyond the purview of Regigigas and Regiternal. Regigigas gathered stone, metal, ice, wood, and the ground to form Regirock, Registeel, Regice, Regiwood, and Regiterra. Regiternal harnessed fire, water, lightning, air, and the power of the mind to create Regigneo, Regiydro, Regilekki, Regisky, and Regipsychi. Regidark unleashed arrogance, malice, terror, hunger, and hatred and gave form to Regidrago, Regitoxic, Regighost, Regicomb, and Regibrute. The many Regis questioned Arceus as to why Regidark had used such things in its own creations, and so Arceus explained how each one would affect the creatures of the world. Hunger would compel them to eat and consume, and it would push them to always want more and thus make more, bettering the world. Arrogance would give them pride in themselves and their accomplishments, and it would give them respect in others they would measure themselves against. Hatred would give them dissatisfaction with things, and always make them strive to change the things they did not like, including themselves. Malice would give them a mutual resentment that would compel them to not accept wrongs committed against them, hold grudges, and act in their own self-interest. Terror would give them fear, and through that remind them of dangers, consequences, and their own limitations, and it would make them cling to life. Individually these things could be great evils that would cause struggle and strife, and Regidark itself embodied such, but when taken together these evils tempered one another and would give the creatures of the world the will to survive, and with the capacity to think, learn and to do good, these evil things could be made into virtues. The Regis all understood this, and so agreed that Regidark's influence and the capacity for evil should hold sway over all the creatures of the world.
I also had the Regi big type being a bee hive, but mine’s “ eyes “ were the entry points of the hive, dripping out honey. It’s limbs are swarms of bees. Quick Lore : Some Combee and a Vespiquen joined Regigigas on his travels, they grew close and became great friends. After the bee Pokémon left, Regigigas built a golem to remember them. Then Regihex was born
Theory: Arceus got mad at regigigas creating his own pokemon so he punished him with the ability "slow start" before he went to a deep slumber. Giratina saw how he punished regigigas like him, so they worked together to create "Regidark". Darkrai noticed this and got angry because they thought they were mocking him. So darkrai took action and left regidark in a weakened state, half the size of the behemoth he was. (cause giratinas power made him stronger than other regis)
Here is a suggestion theory: Regidark could have been from Giratina, who stole power from Regigigas (maybe out of jealousness?) to create Regidark. Regigigas, now weak after Giratina's attack, would go on to your great tale of Regicomb. Hope you liked it! Your content is great!
i LOVE regidark and regiternal, but regidark’s name leaves something to be desired- so here’s my take on a name… “Regibyss” as a combination of Regi + Abyss, because of the dark typing and also how it incorporates the feeling of the abyss, washing over you.
5:38 alright heres my theory… the fighting regi was feeling adventurous, and then it ended up going to the mesa or the orange desert thing, and found a tree, and the fighting regi was like, “hey thats not meant to be here, theres little water!” so in kindness the fighting regi took out the tree out of the ground, but in doing so it took out a piece of the ground, so basically fighting regi made 2 regi’s while adventuring, the ground regi, and the wood regi, i got that just by looking at the stump on the ground regi, also ive just been saying the type and then regi because i forgot their names
While I can't think of all Regis to go with the theme, I can think of a few at least. These are of course my own ideas, nothing to do with the Regis in the video. Water - Back when all life was underwater Fire - The industrial age when humans discovered steam engines Dark - The dark ages Poison - A hypothetical age when the entire world is destroyed by nuclear radiation Ghost - Mass extinction or the end of all life Ground - The creation of the Earth Grass - Prehistoric age when most of the world is covered with large rainforests Fighting - The world wars Psychic - The hypothetical advancements of the future
I think that the names Regidark, Regitoxic, and Regighost sound a bit weird to me. I personally would have went with something more like Regishadow, Regivenom, and Regispirit. Regitoxic isnt that bad, its mainly Regighost and Regidark.
Exactly bro Regighost and Regidark are just so unimaginative imo. You said the one that I thought of for Regidark lol and for Regishadow I thought of Regispectre, but I also like Regispirit. And Regivenom is better than Regitoxic too.
While Regicomb isn't my ideal idea of a bug type, I think its lore more than makes up for it, and makes sense as regis typically have a 'constructed' design concept, rather than an organic one.
keeping the ages concept, each one could represent a stage/important event of prehistory Regigneo - Precambrian and the formation of continents Regiydro - Cambrian explosion Regitoxic - Devonian, first poisonous animals (presumably) Regicomb - Carboniferous, biggest bugs ever Regidark - Permian, the great dying, worst mass extinction ever Regisky - Triassic, first vertebrates take flight Regitera - Jurassic, Pangea separates Regiternal - Cretaceous, the meteorite that strikes earth dividing the Mesozoic and Cenozoic Regibrute - Paleogene, first m o n k e s Regiwood - Cenozoic, first tools by humans
As a dnd nerd, the psychic regi REALLY reminds me of the design of a beholder, like, sure, it's missing the signature eye, but the eyestock tentacles, and the general alienness of this. in short, i love it ^^
So, for Regidark, here's my take on the backstory. I like telling stories about Regigigas, like what you did with Regicomb. Regidark was a later creation. By then, most of Regigigas' creations had been made and several of them had been sealed. Regigigas felt...empty. They just didn't feel like going on any more. Everything seemed pointless. So, Regigigas began to slow and weaken. It started taking longer to get going. Regigigas couldn't understand. They had been satisfied with creation before. Why is this not working? But, Regigias saw a similar pattern among the emerging humans. Sure, Regigigas could never interact with humans directly, but passive observation let them see that same streak in humans, so Regigigas did what they did best. They created a base material from nevative emotion, and then shaped it into Regidark. Regigigas hoped to be able to finally understand what was wrong, maybe this way, they can see the problem and work to fix it. Regigias brought Regidark to life, but Regidark did not want to help its creator. Being made of nothing but negativity, its natural desire was to unleash it, dragging Regigigas further down. From then on, Regigias would never be able to get its act together in a timely manner. Regidark was sealed away at a later date, and Regigigas sought to remain hidden for the forseeable future.
I’m gonna attempt to make the Regis fit an age, in order of presented in video: Regisky: Age of Aviation Regitera: Paleolithic Age Regicomb: Cambrian Explosion (when there was an explosion of life on earth, including bugs) Regiwood: Neolithic Age Regibrute: Imperialism Era (when many countries went to war to conquer other areas. This era also occurred during world wars) Regiternal: Renaissance Age Regipsychi: Space Age Regidark: The Dark Ages Regitoxic: The Industrial Revolution Regighost: The Plague (when the Bubonic Plague was prevalent) Regiydro: Age of Exploration Regigneo: Cretaceous Period (when dinosaurs existed/when they died by meteor) Some of these are stretches (I’m looking at you Regicomb, Regibrute, Regighost, and Regigneo) but I think they all hold some footing in each area. I think these could all make sense.
I like to think that Regitoxic might be related to the latest bad event, the Coronavirus, as it could infect some people, also, it's my choice so don't try to change my opinion
Girittina making Regidark makes sense since Girittina could’ve been punished for making Regidrak as well Also ghost is my favorite type and Regighost didn’t disappoint
I actually made four of my own Regis (grass, fire, water and flying) who are Pokémon who have there own utopias inside or even around them. The civilizations have lived for thousands of years and somehow survived the battles there homes fought. There called regisky, regiwhale, regitree and regivolcano. Honestly, I’m pretty proud of these designs I created.
I feel like ages and epochs could work tbh. Hell, Regigneo could represent the Hadean and Regiydro the following Archean. Regipsychi could easily represent when the earliest humanoids, or even non-human animals, had the first true thoughts, the first idea formed, first knowledge shared. Regidark would easily fit in with either the Black Death and the Inquisitions: It was probably around that time people's concept of the devil became some kind of unimaginably powerful and evil being which humanity is completely helpless against.
An interesting idea could be a fossil Pokémon of every type assuming you stick to them all being part rock-type you could come up with some really cool ideas and mix them with interesting dinosaurs or other prehistoric creatures, like a fire-rock type dimetrodon with a volcano in place of its sail, or a rock-dark type based on a large theropod
They don't have to be part rock anymore since the last gen gave us new fossil mons who were part rock, we have Dracozolt, Dracovish, Arctozolt, and Arctovish. This opens up more possibilities
Ooh that would be cool, I have a few ideas for a mammal fossil 'mon: -A normal/rock type based off the St. Bathans mammal (an as-yet-unnamed fossil mammal from New Zealand, the only non-bat native mammal and possibly one of the last representatives of a group of mammals that went extinct alongside the dinosaurs). I like the idea of it being almost generic in its design but some absolutely bizarre (in a useful way, if you know what you're doing) ability and movepool -A ghost/rock type based on one of Madagascar's extinct lemurs, playing on how uncanny lemurs can be -A fairy/rock type based on pygmy mammoths. I like the idea of playing up the insular dwarfism to make it very small and cutesy, but then you're reminded it's A Freaking Mammoth when you battle with it and it's tanky as heck -A fighting/rock type based on giant ground sloths. I'm not sure if I'd rather it be bulky but seemingly chill with a calm expression and maybe some moss growing on its back or absolutely terrifying appearance wise, but I like the idea that it's huge and hard-hitting -A poison/rock type based on saber-toothed cats. The design could play up the fangs and/or the fact that one of the sites they're best known from is an ancient tar pit
@@G-B-F123 I think the only reason they aren't part rock is because they're fusions of 2 fossils, so their primary types combine instead of being part rock. If we could see the complete gen 8 fossils it's likely they would be part rock.
Honestly, the Dark type one is seriously badass! I'm very fond of Darkrai too, so I could be biased there. Absolutely love Ghost type pokemon in general, and the fairy type regi looks both awesome and cute!
I actually had an for the ghost regi One was called regibone, and had the appearance of a skull, with two large hands it’s eyes resembling a headstone. It acted as a sort of undertaker, guiding departed souls to the afterlife, and rumours are spread that time speeds up in its presence. Regibone would have been created by giratina, however disobeyed it’s master, and only guided lost spirits, as opposed to absorbing them.
Honestly all ideas are amazing. Might redraw and do my own styles but I do enjoy them and have now have an idea style on how to work with all of the Regis and their Pokémon types!
My headcannon for the regipsychi is that once upon a time a psychic mage tried to steal power from regigigas, but they failed so regi just turned them into regipsychi
1:07 That joke deserved a sub... You oughta say it was just a Future Sight for my subscription when it comes to these jokes. EDIT: Goooosh I wish I could show you my custom Pilpr Region, it's got three new Regis. Regiwraith, a Ghost Regi. Regireap, a Dark Regi. Finally, a "girly" colored but no way shape for form weak, the mischievous and actually obtainable before postgame Regifae, a Fairy Regi!
I’m very late to the party, but I have some ideas. I was thinking with a few, and I think I came up with some ideas! Some will be considered a certain “Age” and some will be certain parts of an age. This is all personal ideas, basing off this video! I love the ideas in this video! Let’s begin: Flying: Aviation and the First Aircraft, ie the Brothers and the first ever planes and air travel. Ground Type: I was thinking either the beginnings Scientific or Geology, when people started to notice the sediment and different layers of earth. It also could be Volcanoes, such as Pompeii and the ones in Hawaii and how important they were to the cultures of several civilizations. Bug: Based off the Regicomb, why not make this the beginning of how Homo sapiens started to cook and forage for food, learning from animals or having divine intervention. Make it base itself around natural food sources, just like honey! Grass: Why not base this off of the first buds of grass right after the ice age? Make its theme be around new life, how this golem uses itself to regenerate forests after a fire or the first peek after the first Winter. This also could be based off of wood/primitive machines, like yours is, but I’m wanting to save energy for a special one. Fighting: Base it off of the several wars, having several types of weapons during major world wars, like the World Wars, the Conquests, and the Crusades. Fairy: Base it off of the Crusades and the birth of Religion! I love the holy look to it, so why not base it off of the Roman Catholics and other various forms of Religion. This can be like the “Be Not Afraid” angel as depicted, but also as various references to different Gods of other Religions! Love the name too. Love those three either way. Cool designs and awesome art from Subjectively! Psychic: Base it off of mental illnesses throughout the decades, or better yet, the beginning of man studying themselves and the birth of medicine! After all, you have to be somewhat smart to be able to practice and learn medicine! Dark: Base it off the darkness and chaos of humanity, like the destruction of war, famine, plague and several more. You can also base it off the Black Death. Poison: This one is the one I was most excited for. It’s either one of two ideas for this one. First is the beginning of chemistry, and the second (my favorite and what started this off) the Nuclear Age. Make it based off of how either people started to use chemicals and so on to advance further, or base it off of the beginning of Nuclear energy! After all, people are afraid of nuclear things poisoning the waterways and the world! Ghost: I want to say, I didn’t have one for this! But now that I’m thinking of it…make it be history itself. The idea of people recording the past, learning from it, and holding onto it as it tries to fade away. Although it is physically gone, history will always be remembered one way or another. Water: Most civilizations, if I remember from my humanities classes, started around waterways. Why not make it based on these early civilizations, where water was the one and only thing that would make a place able to be used as land? And Finally, Fire: Make it the beginning when man started to learn about fire, no mater what it came from. It could touch on theories of man discovering fire, from sparks from rocks, lightning striking a tree and making fire, or divine/extraterrestrial life teaching man fire. These are not solid and I am open for more ideas or constructive criticism on these ideas! Either way, love your video, and really enjoyed thinking about different types of Regis! ❤
one of my favorite regi concepts comes from the fan game insurgence, where regirock turned into sand and became a ground type, registeel melted and became a fire type, and regice also melted and became a water type
1:00 Ok I’m going to challenge myself to think of an age of every type (yes I looked up some of these) Bug-Carboniferous Period (the one with big bugs in it) Dark-Dark ages (duh) Fairy-Romantic Period (I know it’s art but it still counts) Fighting-Pick literally any era of war, maybe the two World Wars? Fire-Middle Paleolithic (Creation of fire) Flying-Second Industrial Revolution Ghost-“Golden Age of Serial Killers” (1970-2000) (Mainly did this because most of these are waayyyy back) Grass-Neolithic (beginning of agriculture, you could also pick any period of agricultural boom) Ground-Pangea (duh) Poison-Black Death (duh) Psychic-Greek Golden Age (Oracles) Water-Archean Eon (When the world was underwater) I’m open to suggestions and criticisms :)
With my desire to make a fangame, it is so tempting to add these regis into it. Obviously would be bad if I just did so without permissions, so I may try and come up with my own designs first, though it will certainly be hard to top these.
1:52 y'know I often find myself wishing they would just combine the two and call it the "Earth" type. They're so goddamn similar. Mostly physical with maybe one special attacking move (power gem for rock types and earth power for ground types.) Both can be super effective against flying types (use smack down or thousand arrows to make flying types weak to ground) both are weak to water. These two types never had to be two different types. Er wait, that was every type? You should probably implement a checklist that shows up on screen with the types on it to help the audience keep track.
I really like all of these. The 1 issue I have is that Regighost's name feels off. Maybe it would have been better as Regihaunt or Regigheist. But that's just my nitpick. Lol
I would've gone with "Regifear" cuz dark types revolve around these 3 things: Fighting dirty, being evil and the embodiment of fear. If u think about it, psychic involves the mind and dark types screws up the mind by using said fear; hence why dark moves hurt psychic types. Heres another thing to think about: Bug types. At one point you probably wondered why bugs can hurt dark. Take a look at real life. Many ppl either hate or are afraid of insects and/or arachnids. There are ppl who have a legit "fear" of bugs. Remember when i said dark is the embodiment of fear? Bug types actually use that to their advantage. Thats why bug hurts dark. Makes sense, don't it?
Imagine regigneo made heatran cuz he was lonely, and didnt want to wake up groudon cuz he fears him and think if he woke groudon up he would accidentally make the earth's last day and arceus would punish him
1:18 I mean... the "Leaf-age" could be considered the age on earth where the planet was covered with dense jungles, and bugs and dinosaurs ruled the world, which is canon because of the obvious fossil mons, but also Yanmega being a massive dragonfly, like the ones in the "Leaf-age"... but there's gotta be a better name for it XD
My takes on the different Regi types: - Grass Regi: Agricultural Revolution (sedentarism, the domestication of plants and animals, all that stuff) - Water Regi: The Age of Sail (a boat-like Regi with big cannons that shoot water). Alternatively, it could be a submarine, representing either the Cold War and WW) - Fire Regi: Rather than make it an Industrial Revolution one, I prefer it to be inspired by the Renaissance, the puffy clothes worn by mercenaries could be fireballs, a cannon on one hand and a “flame tongue” sword on the other, but the blade is literally made of fire - Flying Regi: The Aviation Golden Age (the design inspire by the plane created by the Wright brothers, mixed with a bit of Da Vinci’s flying machine prototype, or a big blimp). Alternative, it could be a big ship, inspired by the Age of Sail - Ghost Regi: The Great War (the lore speaks of one Great War between regions, which does connect neatly with irl WWI) - Dark Regi: Victorian Era (rather than focus on the industrialization, I would focus on the one and only Jack the Ripper, with hints of Spring-heeled Jack; with claws made of blades and a Spoink-like tail)
My obligatory list and explenation of eras/events for each regi shown: Regigno: Hadean Era [Formation of earth’s nucleus] Regyro: Archean Era [Literal formation of the ocean] Regicomb: Devonian Period [Reign of giant insects] Regighost: The great dying or Permian triassic extinction event [Arguably the closest life ever got to ending with 96% of ocean and 70% of terrestrial life going extint] Regisky: Miocene Epoch [It was the beginning of the formations the mountains we have now a days] Regiternal: Pliocene Epoch [Establishment of the homo genus, since their supposed to be the creation of humanity] Regiwood: Bronze age [ If their based around old technology the bronze age is were we had the first sights of urban civilization] Regidark: Dark ages [Yes, technically middle ages by some standards, but im talking specifically from 400 to 1000 AD, were we had the collapse of the previous empires, and what we usually think as middle ages is from 1000 to 1450 AD] Regipshychi: Renaissance [Humanist movement had the idea of learning the ideias of “ancient man” (Romans & Greeks) ] Regitoxic: First industrial revolution [Because we started polluting everything with fossil fuel] Regibrute: WW1 to WW2 Regitoxic second proposal: Covid, just covid
As a little theory for Regiydro I feel like it would have a special ability connected to the amount of oxygen it produces if it was a normal pokemon or if it was random, like raising the speed of your team members when sent out
Alot of these lore ideas are fascinating and actually beautiful. How I see Regihydro and Regigneo is that Groudon and Kyorge went to Regigigas in hopes for emissaries to watch over the land and sea while they rest in hibernation. Also Regiternal is a beautiful name. However I would change up the way the eyes are organized in which the dots make an infinity symbol. Makes it more eternal esque type of design for the dots. Regipsychi could have a lore of when the times of merlin and arthur were around and this regi was born from the mind abilities from the wizard Merlin. It would have an amazing lore behind it and would be fascinating that there was a time in pokemon history where magic was real. Regidark could have the lore of the time period of the dark ages. Having a regi representing that would be amazing as well. Regitera can have the lore in the time period of when the gold rush happened in california along with the westward expansion of the US entirely, giving it a bit of a wild west representation with it. Lastly the lore for Regisky would be amazing with the fact it can be paired with the time period of when the first airplane was made by the wright brothers along with the point in history that the first pilot, Emelia Earhart, flew over the Atlantic Ocean. All of these lores and other pairings can have such an amazing influence on the pokemon community and would possibly make the Regi titans the best set of legendary pokemon of all time. Period. Any thoughts on this?
Coming back a year later, I have a few new ideas •Ground type- cretaceous age (dinosaur fossils) •bug type- Carboniferous (big bugs) •wood type- Neolithic •fighting type- Miocene epoch (when humans first showed up) •fairy type- a “creation age” •psychic- space age •dark- dark ages (dragon is the Middle Ages) •poison- a possible apocalyptic age •ghost- roman age (around the time of the celts and other ghost stories) •water- exploration age •fire- primordial or Industrial Revolution
I personally prefer Vroomfish's Ghost-Type Regi: Regiffy. Namely because the eyes are actually nails on it's cursed wooden body. I've had my own ideas for two of the types: Acting as guardians for a utopic and dystopic realm respectively, they are seen as gatekeepers of the afterlife that the realms' masters commissioned Regigigas to make, offering the materials of their home. Regiratos for the former, a Flying-Type Pokemon made of a strange cloud-like substance, and Regibyss for the latter, a Dark-Type made of a black ichor resembling shadows.
I'd actually personally designed a ghost type Regi (Named RegiWraith) in a somewhat similar fashion to the one shown here. It's obviously not the same at all, but has some similar design aspects. The only part we got exactly the same was the dot pattern pointing down.
regiternal: Arceus was feeling down and blue. But with the help of Regidracko fairy type Pokémon flew up there and cheered Acreus up. As a thank you. Arceus took some energy from Regieleki, Missingno and icerus (my own Pokémon) and created regiternal, which now ever rests in a pond because of a fight with one of its former enemies this took really long to make.
8:40: When I was taking astronomy, we were talking about how water has a particular property that it shares with alcohol that makes it possible for it to sustain life. I jokingly asked "Does that mean there may be a species out there that relies on alcohol to survive?"
The professor replied "Actually, there's one that exists right here on Earth, they live right over there, in the dorms." Funniest guy I've ever learned science from.
LoL
😂
Nice
*insert undertale attack sound affect*
*oof*
Here are my ideas on how to keep the theme:
Regirock - Stone Age
Regice - Ice Age
Registeel - Iron Age
Regidrago - Middle Ages
Regieleki - Information/Digital Age
Regifire - Bronze Age (since fire is necessary to forge bronze)
Regiwater - Cambrian Explosion (when most life was underwater) or Age of Exploration (they had to travel by sea)
Regipoison - Industrial Age (factories cause a lot of pollution, especially when it first started)
Regiground - Mesozoic Era (really the only thing I can think of. Maybe because most of all life from that era are fossils?)
Regidark - WWI or WWII (due to the amount of death and despair going on during those times)
Regifairy - Classical Antiquity (hard to differentiate this with Regidrago)
Regifighting - Miocene epoch (our early ancestors had to *fight* to survive)
Regiflying - Jet Age (I saw a flying regi form that looked like a big jet turbine)
Regipsychic - Space Age (a lot of psychic-types are themed after space)
Regibug - Carboniferous Age (big insects)
Regighost - Victorian Era (the time period most ghosts are represented as having been from. Also when books like Dracula were written)
Regigrass - Agricultural Age (humans made plants our playthings)
This was a bit harder than I anticipated.
Perfect!😘
Regipsy could be the future too based on the machine that gains knowledge exponensially idk the name
"Regidark - WWI or WWII"
Regidark would be better suited in the "age of depression" or more well known as the great depression.
"Regifairy - Classical Antiquity"
Regifairy would work way better as the "age of enlightenment" this is when roma's changed from making all decisions based on god, but rather logic and reason.
But other then those two you did a fantastic job.
@@stevenlikeslegs6921 Thanks for the help, I've no clue how I forgot about the Great Depression for Regidark
This is great but regi dark could be the dark ages
Honestly, I think the dark type should have been called 'Regibyss' a bit like Regiternal as they are opposites. Plus the aura of an abyss in battle would just seem so much more dark than a plain dark pokemon
dark type is the "evil" type though. not literal darkness
@@dupasraka6299 That hardly matters, the types are pretty flexible. There are non-bug bug types, non-plant grass types and so on.
I was thinking regivoid, but that's a good idea
That’s actually a good idea
@@ERR0R_101reginiggus 👍🏻
It is my goal now to create a regi of every type that still fits with the “ages” idea. Wish me luck
Me too.
You could group them up instead of crating a bunch of different ages for regi
Consider, a grass type for Age of Agriculture, a water for Age of Navigation, and a fire for the Industrial Revolution.
Fire could be Industrial Revolution or Prehistoric Times. I didn’t even think of agriculture, but I agree with you. You could have Water and Ground together for the Age of Discovery
to be honest I think the naming part is harder
I already said dark would be fitting of Medieval ages
Yeah, I actually can't really think of any other way to really hit fairy regi
Jack’s Regibrute is probably my favorite of his three Regis but the lore connecting all three with regiwood and regiternal I think is what really makes the design as a whole.
You forgot. Regisound. And. Regisoul
My body is Regi.
Also have you even seen AI art?
Personally, I feel that a Water type Regi could represent the Age of Exploration, since many people used ships to navigate the globe, and a Fire type Regi could represent the Industrial Age, since metal refinement in steel mills began around this time
It could also be the periods when Earth was mostly water and mostly nothing but magma.
The exploration age is a bit Eurocentric, but that's just me.
Regiwood could represent the Dinosaur age, because there are herbivores and trees.
Or maybe when people discovered fire for the first time
Continuing with this a poison type regi could represent the atomic age where nukes had almost destroyed all life on earth
Fire type could be when earth didnt have water yet
4:35
regiock: ün ün ün
Regiternal: Be not afraid
ün means fame.
Regipsychi is a Beholder! From D&D. Love it. Its signature move could be an eyestalk beam that has a multitude of effects like Tri-Attack
or an Elder Brain from the illithids like the mind flayer
Beholder but a brain. Oh and without 3 or 6 arms.
Mental Blast! XD Can cause Paralisys, Confusion or Sleep.
@@staarfall5317 I would go Graveyard for some as they was forgotten all in different sealed tombs
I would love to see Regibrute just punching Regiwood over and over and Regiwood just tanking it because they're just basically playing
I would love to see a type swapping of every starter. So Bulbasaur as both Fire and Water, Charmander as both Grass and Water, and Squirtle as both Grass and Fire. But for every generation. Maybe also a Mew for every type
Something I can look into doing!
For grass regi it’s kinda prehistoric time

What happen to dark ages?
Regidark representing the bronze age collapse would be cool
I also think regicomb is the most clever design beyond Subjectively’s three Regis. I love how even the eye shape is evocative of a honey comb hexagon.
Wait doesn’t registeel have a hexagon eye?
@@mawmawdakatty4530 yes but it’s less noticeable as the regicomb hexagon because regicomb can be tied back to the typing theme

My headcanon is this:
When Arceus created the universe, it envisioned the idea of each of the elements that would go into it, and sought to emulate what it had done with Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina.
Gotta love the bees
Imagine a giant beehive with what seems to be eyes leaking out sweet fluids, and surrounded by a buzzing darkness humming in unison
what if barry from the bee movie is in him?
@@thomasfelcyn9145 are you serious right now-
Theory: Arceus got mad at regigigas creating his own pokemon so he punished him with the ability "slow start" before he went to a deep slumber.
That's awesome Lore
Yes just yes
Epic lore
So Regigigas is the Prometheus of the Pokemon universe.
regiggigas wants REGIVENGE
Here is a suggestion theory:
Regidark could have been from Giratina, who stole power from Regigigas (maybe out of jealousness?) to create Regidark. Regigigas, now weak after Giratina's attack, would go on to your great tale of Regicomb.
Hope you liked it! Your content is great!
The design for Regidark is fantastic, but I feel like something like Regiwraith might fit it better.
i LOVE regidark and regiternal, but regidark’s name leaves something to be desired- so here’s my take on a name…
“Regibyss” as a combination of Regi + Abyss, because of the dark typing and also how it incorporates the feeling of the abyss, washing over you.
Regiumbra, Regishade, Regidusk

5:38 alright heres my theory… the fighting regi was feeling adventurous, and then it ended up going to the mesa or the orange desert thing, and found a tree, and the fighting regi was like, “hey thats not meant to be here, theres little water!” so in kindness the fighting regi took out the tree out of the ground, but in doing so it took out a piece of the ground, so basically fighting regi made 2 regi’s while adventuring, the ground regi, and the wood regi, i got that just by looking at the stump on the ground regi, also ive just been saying the type and then regi because i forgot their names

If you needed an "age" event regidark could have come from the dark ages in humanity

I think better names for the dark and ghost regi’s would be “regithereal” for ghost and “reginight” for dark imo
Not saying its a better name
But "Regi-Shadow" could be a better name for dark type
What about Regisoul
Or- or Regidusk.
Ahem, How about
Regispecter
Maybe Regighoul and Regishade
While I can't think of all Regis to go with the theme, I can think of a few at least. These are of course my own ideas, nothing to do with the Regis in the video.
Water - Back when all life was underwater
Fire - The industrial age when humans discovered steam engines
Dark - The dark ages
Poison - A hypothetical age when the entire world is destroyed by nuclear radiation
Ghost - Mass extinction or the end of all life
Ground - The creation of the Earth
Grass - Prehistoric age when most of the world is covered with large rainforests
Fighting - The world wars
Psychic - The hypothetical advancements of the future
I think that the names Regidark, Regitoxic, and Regighost sound a bit weird to me. I personally would have went with something more like Regishadow, Regivenom, and Regispirit. Regitoxic isnt that bad, its mainly Regighost and Regidark.
Well the original three do just have the types in their names so it could explain why they didn't do that
There are skinless people clawing at my walls

As a dnd nerd, the psychic regi REALLY reminds me of the design of a beholder, like, sure, it's missing the signature eye, but the eyestock tentacles, and the general alienness of this. in short, i love it ^^
Worry Regihydro,we have Regitube now.
So,
for Regidark, here's my take on the backstory.
Ah yes, I remember that. In reality tho, I love the reference to slow start and the tale in general
Excellent tale
8:07 And I believe it's there to hide the real identity of Regighost - a Magnemite :)
I love how the drum beat is semi-synched with the Rillaboom. That is really creative
REGI-WOOD: What is my purpose?
REGI-BRUTE: You get Punched.
REGI-WOOD: Oh my god...
REGI-WOOD: Existence is pain. Everyday is suffering at the hands of a mustard-colored meathead!

I’m gonna attempt to make the Regis fit an age, in order of presented in video:
Regisky: Age of Aviation
Regitera: Paleolithic Age
Regicomb: Cambrian Explosion (when there was an explosion of life on earth, including bugs)
Regiwood: Neolithic Age
Regibrute: Imperialism Era (when many countries went to war to conquer other areas. This era also occurred during world wars)
Regiternal: Renaissance Age
Regipsychi: Space Age
Regidark: The Dark Ages
Regitoxic: The Industrial Revolution
Regighost: The Plague (when the Bubonic Plague was prevalent)
Regiydro: Age of Exploration
Regigneo: Cretaceous Period (when dinosaurs existed/when they died by meteor)
Some of these are stretches (I’m looking at you Regicomb, Regibrute, Regighost, and Regigneo) but I think they all hold some footing in each area. I think these could all make sense.
I like to think that Regitoxic might be related to the latest bad event, the Coronavirus, as it could infect some people, also, it's my choice so don't try to change my opinion
Girittina making Regidark makes sense since Girittina could’ve been punished for making Regidrak as well
Also ghost is my favorite type and Regighost didn’t disappoint
I actually made four of my own Regis (grass, fire, water and flying) who are Pokémon who have there own utopias inside or even around them. The civilizations have lived for thousands of years and somehow survived the battles there homes fought. There called regisky, regiwhale, regitree and regivolcano. Honestly, I’m pretty proud of these designs I created.
I made a dark type regi once. It was called “Regideath” and the lore for it is insanely epic
Wouldn't Registeel be more akin to the Iron Age?
An interesting idea could be a fossil Pokémon of every type assuming you stick to them all being part rock-type you could come up with some really cool ideas and mix them with interesting dinosaurs or other prehistoric creatures, like a fire-rock type dimetrodon with a volcano in place of its sail, or a rock-dark type based on a large theropod
They don't have to be part rock anymore since the last gen gave us new fossil mons who were part rock, we have Dracozolt, Dracovish, Arctozolt, and Arctovish. This opens up more possibilities
Psychic Spino, dark carno
Ooh that would be cool, I have a few ideas for a mammal fossil 'mon:
-A normal/rock type based off the St. Bathans mammal (an as-yet-unnamed fossil mammal from New Zealand, the only non-bat native mammal and possibly one of the last representatives of a group of mammals that went extinct alongside the dinosaurs). I like the idea of it being almost generic in its design but some absolutely bizarre (in a useful way, if you know what you're doing) ability and movepool
-A ghost/rock type based on one of Madagascar's extinct lemurs, playing on how uncanny lemurs can be
-A fairy/rock type based on pygmy mammoths. I like the idea of playing up the insular dwarfism to make it very small and cutesy, but then you're reminded it's A Freaking Mammoth when you battle with it and it's tanky as heck
-A fighting/rock type based on giant ground sloths. I'm not sure if I'd rather it be bulky but seemingly chill with a calm expression and maybe some moss growing on its back or absolutely terrifying appearance wise, but I like the idea that it's huge and hard-hitting
-A poison/rock type based on saber-toothed cats.
@@oodogla I really hope this is the case, the rock type kinda made them more unique and allows people who only use Rock to use all the fossils.

I was gonna say fairy type was my favorite, but then all the rest just kept getting better
I actually had an for the ghost regi
One was called regibone, and had the appearance of a skull, with two large hands it’s eyes resembling a headstone. It acted as a sort of undertaker, guiding departed souls to the afterlife, and rumours are spread that time speeds up in its presence.
Regibone would have been created by giratina, however disobeyed it’s master, and only guided lost spirits, as opposed to absorbing them.
i had i idea "regiphantom" its the retired regi of fire. o_0
7:33 “hello peter”
Honestly all ideas are amazing. Might redraw and do my own styles but I do enjoy them and have now have an idea style on how to work with all of the Regis and their Pokémon types!
My headcannon for the regipsychi is that once upon a time a psychic mage tried to steal power from regigigas, but they failed so regi just turned them into regipsychi

I’m very late to the party, but I have some ideas. I was thinking with a few, and I think I came up with some ideas! Some will be considered a certain “Age” and some will be certain parts of an age. This is all personal ideas, basing off this video! I love the ideas in this video! Let’s begin:
Flying: Aviation and the First Aircraft, ie the Brothers and the first ever planes and air travel.
And Finally, Fire:
Make it the beginning when man started to learn about fire, no mater what it came from.
Makes me wonder what other types can “melt” into other types.

Dark-Dark ages (duh)
Fairy-Romantic Period (I know it’s art but it still counts)
Fighting-Pick literally any era of war, maybe the two World Wars?
Fire-Middle Paleolithic (Creation of fire)
Flying-Second Industrial Revolution
Ghost-“Golden Age of Serial Killers” (1970-2000) (Mainly did this because most of these are waayyyy back)
Grass-Neolithic (beginning of agriculture, you could also pick any period of agricultural boom)
Ground-Pangea (duh)

1:52 y'know I often find myself wishing they would just combine the two and call it the "Earth" type. They're so goddamn similar. Mostly physical with maybe one special attacking move (power gem for rock types and earth power for ground types.) Both can be super effective against flying types (use smack down or thousand arrows to make flying types weak to ground) both are weak to water. These two types never had to be two different types.
Er wait, that was every type? You should probably implement a checklist that shows up on screen with the types on it to help the audience keep track.
Eh I can see the difference between rocks and dirt
i truly love the regis you show off, including regicomb, i love this design
A legendary bird for every type would be really cool
8:55 you should call it reginferno
THATS WHAT IM SAYING
1:39 looks like an ultra beast
If these were real Regis, I would love to see their Pokemon Clover equivalents.
I too would like to see dying golems in a game about Reddit and Pokemon.
Reginuke
@@terrariaguy216 it's 4chan 🤓
Honestly you’re videos get better and better!
I really got to love Regiternal. The biblically accurate angel type design was what sealed it for me, because it’s just perfect.
I really like all of these. The 1 issue I have is that Regighost's name feels off. Maybe it would have been better as Regihaunt or Regigheist. But that's just my nitpick. Lol
I saw another comment that suggested "Regithereal" (Regi+Ethereal)
Edit: comment credit to GOLDENGRUMP
@@anonymousfog501 Nah too much syl
@@swaggeryduster that's fair, but at least it rolls off the tongue better.
ooo Regigheist is pretty good, my sister had the idea of "Reginent"
Regispooki
I love Regighost's design but its name feels a bit bland. Maybe something like Regispecter or Regiwisp would work better
Regispooki
Regishade would also be a good one
the fairy, grass and fighting regis are def my favs. love the concept and how they fit into the original idea!
Sad mimikyu noises

3:39 I hear Pokémon Conquest music, my brain gets happy
4:43 same bro thats why grimmsnarl is my only normal pokemon thats fairy type and not cutsy girly pokemon 😌
8:48 why does he look like shiny zygarde
Imagine regigneo made heatran cuz he was lonely, and didnt want to wake up groudon cuz he fears him and think if he woke groudon up he would accidentally make the earth's last day and arceus would punish him
Hmm how about a pikaclone with every type (second type besides electric)
Definitely on the list!
I love how Regiydro and Regigneo’s eyes are a W and an M representing Water and Magma
I like the name Regignite better for the fire type, but my personal favorite is Regiternal. Really good work!!
8:10 the isekai pokemon
Regigigas:so kids, are you happy with it?
Regirock: of course dad! We're happy that our family is complete
Regigigas:glad to heard that
6:40 ITS AN EMO REGI
My takes on the different Regi types:
- Grass Regi: Agricultural Revolution (sedentarism, the domestication of plants and animals, all that stuff)
- Water Regi: The Age of Sail (a boat-like Regi with big cannons that shoot water). Alternatively, it could be a submarine, representing either the Cold War and WW)
- Fire Regi: Rather than make it an Industrial Revolution one, I prefer it to be inspired by the Renaissance, the puffy clothes worn by mercenaries could be fireballs, a cannon on one hand and a “flame tongue” sword on the other, but the blade is literally made of fire
- Flying Regi: The Aviation Golden Age (the design inspire by the plane created by the Wright brothers, mixed with a bit of Da Vinci’s flying machine prototype, or a big blimp). Alternative, it could be a big ship, inspired by the Age of Sail
- Ghost Regi: The Great War (the lore speaks of one Great War between regions, which does connect neatly with irl WWI)
- Dark Regi: Victorian Era (rather than focus on the industrialization, I would focus on the one and only Jack the Ripper, with hints of Spring-heeled Jack; with claws made of blades and a Spoink-like tail)

My obligatory list and explenation of eras/events for each regi shown:
Regigno: Hadean Era [Formation of earth’s nucleus]
Regyro: Archean Era [Literal formation of the ocean]
Regicomb: Devonian Period [Reign of giant insects]
Regighost: The great dying or Permian triassic extinction event [Arguably the closest life ever got to ending with 96% of ocean and 70% of terrestrial life going extint]
Regisky: Miocene Epoch [It was the beginning of the formations the mountains we have now a days]
Regiternal: Pliocene Epoch [Establishment of the homo genus, since their supposed to be the creation of humanity]
Regiwood: Bronze age [ If their based around old technology the bronze age is were we had the first sights of urban civilization]
Regidark: Dark ages [Yes, technically middle ages by some standards, but im talking specifically from 400 to 1000 AD, were we had the collapse of the previous empires, and what we usually think as middle ages is from 1000 to 1450 AD]
Regipshychi: Renaissance [Humanist movement had the idea of learning the ideias of “ancient man” (Romans & Greeks) ]
Regitoxic: First industrial revolution [Because we started polluting everything with fossil fuel]
Regibrute: WW1 to WW2
Regitoxic second proposal: Covid, just covid
Coming back a year later, I have a few new ideas
•Ground type- cretaceous age (dinosaur fossils)
•bug type- Carboniferous (big bugs)
•wood type- Neolithic
•fighting type- Miocene epoch (when humans first showed up)
•fairy type- a “creation age”
•psychic- space age
•dark- dark ages (dragon is the Middle Ages)
•poison- a possible apocalyptic age
•ghost- roman age (around the time of the celts and other ghost stories)
•water- exploration age
•fire- primordial or Industrial Revolution
1:09 Actually, a grass type regi could be represented by the Ordovician period (aka the period when plants were created.)
Genius
4:09 my fav animes fmab
My god i burst into laughter and my told me like cool down 1:00
regiternal: Arceus was feeling down and blue. But with the help of Regidracko fairy type Pokémon flew up there and cheered Acreus up. As a thank you. Arceus took some energy from Regieleki, Missingno and icerus (my own Pokémon) and created regiternal, which now ever rests in a pond because of a fight with one of its former enemies
this took really long to make.
