- Diamonds In The Rough was originally released on CD in 2008 as part of the DVD+CD release “Live in the LBC/Diamonds in the Rough”. It is a compilation of b-sides recorded during the making of the band’s self-titled 2007 debut, rarities, covers and other non-album tracks. The 2020 vinyl and digital release of the album has been remastered and is expanded by 5 tracks, featuring the unreleased track “Set Me Free” (recorded during the “Hail To The King” sessions). It also includes other hard-to-find tracks such as the fan-favorite “St, James”, “4AM” and “Lost It All”. The 16 track album also includes the band’s cover of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid”, which originally came out in 2009 on the Warner Bros album “Covered”. The vinyl is released on limited edition clear vinyl.

I would listen to Avenged Sevenfold every day to and from middle school on the bus. (City of Evil and Nightmare were my favorite albums) I am in college now and I still listen to them when I walk to campus from my apartment.

They've been a big part of my life for 10 years. Ever since HTTK came out and played that CD in the car I've been in love ever since. I've probably listened to these guys more than any other band, combined. I listened to these dudes in 3rd grade! They've gotten me through tough times with my family and life. Every song is packed with nostalgia, I love it.

Yeah I agree. I like it because of the back up vocals. Synyster and Zach are crazy good at guitar and can harmonize vocals while they play. I struggle to play just guitar. They have some skill!
@@davidjackson9898 They don't actually do the backing vocals in the studio, excluding Almost Easy. Usually M Shadows does all the vocal tracks himself like most other singers. Zacky and Synyster only do those backing vocals during live performances and I'm pretty sure they've never performed the Fight live.

Man I’ve loved this album since 2008, and my god is this one the best on the album. I’m so glad people can see all the songs they missed out on. Imo this is their best album they’ve ever done, and it’s a shame they didn’t show the world earlier.

when i was 14 i decided for this to be the best song they've ever made. now 8 years later at 22 and after having moved on from my metal/rock phase for the most part i still stand with that. like oh my, what a song. the song structure is outstanding. so intense. never not a joy listening to it.

Diamonds in the Rough is a 2008 b-side album for the self titled white album (2007), but with this re-release of Diamonds they added the extra Nightmare and HTTK track(s). New album is expected soon though
