In this video, I share my honest review about my favorite lens for my Canon M100, the EFM 22mm. I have had the lens for about 3 years and I can say that this still remains as the best EFM lens for both photography and videography. Long story short, it truly is the best EFM lens for your EOS M series.

thank you! i mostly use the m50 with the fab 34mm lens, but i also have the m100 (such a pain to find everything!!) if i want to take 2 lenses with me (i hate changing lenses outside!) it's about time i got the 22mm lens!! 🙂

hi! No, the 22mm is an EFM lens, so it will fit right in your M200, WITHOUT adapters.. You will need adapters for EF and EF-S lenses 👌🏼👌🏼

Math is your friend . The M100 has a crop factor of 1.6 . If you multiply 22 x 1.6 you get 35.2 , you turned your camera into a 35mm aka the greatest point and shoot format .
This works for all cameras picture or video. I utilize this to use cheap lenses on my M200.

For vlogging, the EFM 11-22mm will be the best one.. Awesome for outdoors, but for indoors, you will need a lot of light since the biggest F is F4👍🏼

You don't need adapters for EFM lenses.. You need adapters when you use EF lenses.. 11-22mm is an EFM lens, no adapters needed if you are using the canon EOS M series

I would say, either of the two is good, but I would go with the 22mm since I don't need an adapter.. Most important for a beginner is to understand the exposure triangle and practice more, with whatever lens you got :)

in my opinion, yess.. Still a great camera.. If budget is quite an issue, this could be the way to go. But if you got more to spend, better off getting one with higher spec👍🏼

22mm is the best??? Have you heard about “Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM Lens” at all???
of course.. I have used it, and I still think the 22mm is the best all around lens for my M100. Thats my opinion, but if you think that 32mm is the best, that's totally fine
@@dalbermatianman I respect that, but can you tell us for what reasons you think 22mm f/2.0 is a better all round EF-M lens, and a better lens fhan 32 mm f/1.4 please?
