    I use the m100 quite a bit for everyday stuff. I found using an adapter and pairing it with the efs 24 and ef50 gets you surprisingly good results. I can't stress enough how much I loath the kit lens lol I don't know why but I hate the photos I get with it.

    • @LucaBono.Studio
      @LucaBono.Studio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The kit-lens is not too bad if you play a bit in post...but the 22mm is a much better lens to use. Cheers!

      same here man, except i think i know why. That lens isn't sharp at all, the other ones you mentioned are all sharper. I really want to like the 15-45, as it's a regular speed cropped version of a 24-70, but the OG kit lens 18-55 is known to be much sharper. I have both, i can cosign that. Though there are some who say copy variation might lead you to a sharp-ish 15-45 if you're lucky. Test all you come across, i guess.

      i found that the 15-45 is really good for walking around, going dinner, some comolete exterior day, it's very versatile really. You can set f5.6 for a lot of sharp, and f8 for 45mm. But sometimes is not needed that critical sharp, only shutter speed. my opinion

      I really love the kit lens! I’ve been trying to see why people didn’t like it so much. You just need a well lit scene!

    The Canon M100 was my go to camera for street photography for many years (and I still use it sometimes). This thing is a beast in a tiny package. The image quality is really good, the camera can fit in your pocket and you get all of this for such a low price. A very underrated camera that not many youtubers talk about. Very happy I came across your video :)

    Today for me that’s the Q2 Monochrome. It’s quite a bit bulkier though. Years ago I’ve used the original EOS-M as a travel camera. Once the AF issue was solved, it was a great little travel camera. So nice to see you’ve used images and video of my birth town Amersfoort in the Netherlands. I hope you’ve had a great time there…

    • @LucaBono.Studio
      @LucaBono.Studio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good choice! I like to use the Leica Q2 of my friends sometime, but I don't like the idea to go always around with a camera that costs more than 5000€...You go out with a different mindset, when you have a cheap camera with you.
      I love Amersfoort, I moved here 1 year ago and I'm having great time! Thank you for watching and see you around!

    The M200 with 22f2 is my edc camera: same focal as a fuji x100 but much smaller and cheap. Honestly I dont understand why this combo is not much more popular.
    I love the tilt screen (much better for video than articulated screen) I would like that the power on time were a bit better.
    This and many canon apsc cameras deliver a bit soft images but canon color are great in photo (in video in this camera not so good).
    I dont undertand why efm werent more successful.

    I bought the M100 4 years ago...I was deciding between the Sony a5100 and Canon M100. I went with the M100 because the menu system is so much easier to use...plus the price of the M100 was cheaper.
    I used the kit lens for 3 years, can you believe it? haha...i got some cool photos with it. Then I bought the ef-m 55-200mm, ef-m 22mm and ef 50mm. I like the small size because it doesn't make me feel lazy to bring the camera out.
    also the video quality is just average...but i mainly use it for photos so it doesn't matter to me.

    I just got a used almost mint eos m. Paired it with a 24 2.8, 50 2.8 and the standard 18-55 all with an adaptor. Am just blown away at the image quality. Its got such nice colors and has a dreamy feel to it espscially closeup shots. Very very sharp. Even the 18-55 has such great sharpness. Truly amazed at what this little tool can do. So much better than what my phone or my sony rx100 m3 could take. I dont know if the colors are the same across all M series lineup.

    Thanks for making me feel better about my purchase. I got my M100 on 50% discount when the M200 came out, and then had huge buyer's remorse because I felt it lacked features and the kit lens was basically trash so I never really used it much. Then recently I bought two cheap MD lenses and an adaptor from Japan and started playing with shooting manual, which was fun for a while, but having an adapter on such a small body makes even a 50mm kinda bulky so I didn't always feel like bringing the system anywhere. So I finally bought a used 22mm a couple of weeks ago, in the hopes of the small form factor qnd autofocus might make me enjoy the system more, and it sounds like I made the right choice.

    • @LucaBono.Studio
      @LucaBono.Studio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @PitNeex
      @PitNeex ปีที่แล้ว

      My case is exactly the same, I additionally got the 7artisans 35mm f 1.4 because i figured out this is my favorable focal length and wanted a small one. All the autofocus (Sigma,canon) options are quite big and many times more expensive. For everything else I am slowly building a collection of m42 lenses with adapter and a Teleconverter. You can have the full range of focal lengths to experiment, with great quality at the price of just one autofocus lens. Learning using manual lenses made my photography much more intentional, which is the only positive of film photography. The Canon 22mm practically transformed m100 to a point and shoot, great for traveling and street photography, not my best choice for close distance portraits though.

    I have the m10 and m. I’m getting great pictures from both of those with nice lenses on. I had the 22 but sold it as I just didn’t love the images. I can tell you the m10 with the sigma 56 is a great tiny combo. And the m even just for photos is great as it’s built like a tank. I’ve stayed pocketable and have the sigma fp. But would get an s1 next. Great prices on those used at the moment. Really enjoy your channel.

      @@LucaBono.Studio can’t explain it. Just the images felt pedestrian. Never inspiring. I know it’s ridiculous but I have an ef 35mm f2 is with a speedbooster. Those images are really wow. But then it’s not a pocket camera lol. The focus peaking on the m10 is fantastic so it’s very fast to focus with manual lenses. That’s how I use it in a compact way.

Then got a used M6 for a low price and that was even better, especially with the 11-22 lens. Nice pocketable little snapper next to my 80d, sharing the same 24 mp sensor and even lenses with the adapter. A two camera setup from 11-250 mm (400 equiv) with 1 eosm and two ef-s lenses. Ciao Luca ! è meglio una M100 o M200?

    • @LucaBono.Studio
      @LucaBono.Studio  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ciao Charlie! La M200 dovrebbe essere più veloce con l' AF e può registrare in 4k (croppato). Se la trovi allo stesso della m100 nell'usato, prendi la m200 🫡

    I can get almost the same form factor with and full frame Canon r8 and an RF 28 2.8. It is also incredebly small. With an electronic shutter I also can make it completely quiet.

    I am looking into full frame but same small compact body. Not because full frame is better or not. But specifically for the coverage of the view. Getting the actual 35 Wilde at f2 & its compact on a full frame it’s designed for or a Noctilux 50/1.2 wide open creamy bokeh.
    But absolutely, it’s about having fun. The big pro body does no god if you don’t have it out & ready. But the M3 can just hang on your neck all day long. (:

    got the m100 new a few years ago when it was getting liquidated out of shops and since then I'm a sold fan on the soap bar camera form factor to the point where i got the original m and the m10 with some cheap lenses for better lowlight, nothing can replace this form factor... now im kind of craving for the m200 or an m6 mk2 for the silent shutter, the original m is good for silent shooting with the magic lantern hack but it only does raw dng format on longer exposures probably because of sensor readout... last but not least, if I where to go full frame my only option would be a sigma fp or a sony a7c but the sigma would be preferable any day...

      Nice! What lenses did you buy?
      I didn't know about the silent shutter of the m200...that can be handy!

    • @dubment
      @dubment 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LucaBono.Studio m6mk2 has the silent shutter option, not sure about the m200, they barely put clean hdmi on that... as far as the lenses I got a neweer 25mm f1.8 for like 40 euros second hand and a new tt artisans 17mm f1.4... hoping for that canon 22mm in the future since I kind of miss autofocus for point and shoot\travel...

      I had the sony a6300 and it's a nice camera. But the colors of the jpegs in Canon m cameras is much better. A newer model of Sony aps-c camera will be better for the color science 😉
