It's hard to imagine a more gratifying comment from a true Hollywood royal, when he says to his interviewer - "you're making my life, this is wonderful" - Watching this interview was for me a journey through the history of Hollywood. I grew up watching Robert's movies and his television series, and to now listen to this true legend was indeed a privilege. Thank you so much Harvey. Great stuff!

Yes, I must tell you that when Robert Wagner told me I gave him the best interview of his life (which he even repeated several times after we stopped filming), I had to pinch myself to believe this was really happening!! Thank you so much for watching, and for taking the time to comment. Your feedback means the world to me!❤️

R.I.P. Robert John Wagner. So glad you were able to do this interview. Found it interesting so many on the production side of the movie business sent their kids to military school where they lived all week. Maybe that decision had to do with the long hours. RJ will be missed by many. Hart to Hart is on Tubi, the first two seasons anyway. I would love to find “Switch,” “It Takes A Thief” and his movies. I always loved Susan Hayward. I saw “Pink Panther” with my mom in SF movie theater but was so young, I would love to see it now as well as all of Wagner’s other movies.

WOW WOW WOW! Just loved watching this iconic interview with one of the greatest Hollywood stars of all time. Wagner is a class act, giving credit to so many legends like Clark Gable and Spencer Tracy for his success in climbing the Hollywood ladder. Harvey, I was so happy you added how much his talent and charisma played a huge role in his success. Never expected a great actor like Robert Wagner to be so humble, poised and loving. He spoke lovingly about his wife Jill St. John and his deceased wife Natalie Wood. What an absolutely fabulous interview! ❤️

As a long time admirer of Robert Wagner, this was definitely one of the best interviews of him I've seen. Thank you for treating this accomplished older man with dignity and respect even by something as simple as calling him Mr Wagner and asking permission to call him RJ. That was a classy thing to do. I now look forward to watching more of your interviews.

Folks, this interview was definitely a turning point for our show. In 15 months and 165 episodes, I’ve tried my very best to conduct informative and compelling interviews with noteworthy celebrities and authors. I’m a firm believer in letting one’s work speak for itself, so that’s why we do very little promotion of our show. It’s always been my hope that one day, the A-list stars would eventually see that I can give them interviews that do justice to their body of work and career legacies. And when Robert Wagner not only agreed to be interviewed, but told me that I gave him the best interview of his life, it was a monumental moment of validation for me. I hope you enjoy this conversation with a true cinematic legend as much as I did. And to those of you who’ve been kind enough to subscribe to our TH-cam channel, I thank you from my heart. 🙏❤️

Mr. Wagner really grew into himself as a star. He was a devastatingly handsome young actor, but became a star by taking Cary Grant's advice and letting himself be RJ - charming, funny, urbane and STILL devastatingly handsome. And he still is all those things. There's no one like Robert Wagner; if you look up the word 'charming,' there he is in the dictionary, right next to Grant and James Bond. Nobody does it better!

I love watching their reactions when you finish and that to me is a good barometer to the type of person they are. Sharon Gless, Marie Osmond, Patrick Cassidy are some of the standouts so far.

Why did you why didn’t you ask him if he killed Natalie Wood or was it Christopher Walken and exactly what happened on the boat that would’ve been a great interview

In his memoir, “Pieces of my Heart”, Mr Wagner gave a detailed account of exactly what happened on that boat the night Natalie died. There was no reason to ask him anything else about it.

BARB Stainy also supported the Golden Holden in the very beginning, Bill gave her loads of motherly credit.
PS. Recognized Lana s Lips the sec I saw them ! Such impeccable style, always, despite the hardships.

I don't believe for one second that Robert Wagner murdered Natalie Wood! For one thing, I believe Robert Wagner loved Natalie Wood! He didn't marry her once, he married her twice! And he had a child by her! I hate the way so many people are now jumping on the "Get Robert Wagner" bandwagon. It's a shame this happened, I blame the alcohol and drugs that they were partying with, people don't behave normal when on these things. I believe that Natalie was angry and tried to leave the Yacht and slipped and fell into the water. Stop with the blaming, people.

I agree with you 100%. I would stake my life on it. He did NOT kill his wife. He adored her. There is not one shred of evidence to suggest that he did anything wrong. He had a crew onboard and a guest (Christopher Walken). No one would commit a murder in such a setting. Thank you for speaking up.

ANY REMARKS on McQueen during THE WAR LOVER ? A very much neglected, tight psychological noirish WW2 B-17 film (1961).

Loved that movie. But if you watch my interview with McQueen’s publicist Jim Mahoney, you’ll have your eyes opened about the kind of person Steve McQueen really was.

Read Robert Wagner’s book. Pieces of my Heart. He explains exactly what happened on the boat that tragic night. I would stake my life on it: he did not kill his wife. He is not capable of such a thing and besides, he adored her

On the whole, I really love your interviews, but with Robert Wagner, I truly believe he didn't do enough to save his wife Natalie Wood. I'm so sorry her daughters had to grow up without their mother because of him.

He thought Natalie had gone to bed. He was in a other room talking with Christopher Walken. Natalie’s death was a terribly sad tragedy.

I truly believe Natalie death was accident. So sad. Alcohol and adult stubbornness played a role in the tragedy. Sadly if Natasha or the personal assistant or mart Crowley was on the boat the circumstances would have been completely different. Very sad. Mart Crowley told me himself he was in agony over not being on that goddamn boat. He really blamed himself for years. Natslie woods Russian mother cursed out mart at Natalie’s funeral Robert Wagner and Natalie simply had too much too drink. So sad. Mart regretted to the day he died not being on the boat cause he not she would have tried to pull the dingy inside. He would have de escalated the tension and arguments
