I think my wife would really enjoy Stoddard's books. My wife loves decorating our home and and looking for new ideas. I will mention these books to her. And has it been 29 years since 1995? Oh wow!
Lovely video Lindy!! You said it perfectly today. How much time do we actually have on this earth 🌎 and how we should live it. I definitely am highly aware of that and try to live the best day every day. If I come across a not so happy person in life I take it as a blessing that they came into my life because I learn from them how to become even a “Better Person”and not conduct my own life in that fashion or ever treat others unkind. I am definitely going to get some of these fantastic books. I did watch her program on HGTV. I Did not make the connection till you mentioned it here today. God bless you Lindy! Thank you for this video today. It brought to mind the poem I love “IF” by Rudyard Kipling. Which is kind of my own personal mantra I live by…though written in the Victorian era. It applies to both male and female. Alexandra seems to really get the human condition. That is very special. xoxo. Esme’ 💛🌻💛
If! I love that poem. And how about that! So glad you remembered watching the program back then! It is always great to hear from you, Esme' and to glean your insight on things. You are very thoughtful and mindful. xoxo
One thing my wife and I do to make our home "smile" is to keep a well decorated mantel. The living room is the center of our home and where we entertain guests. The mantel is prominent so we keep it warm and festive. It really helps to set the overall ambiance of the room. And it is fun to do!
@@Southernladyasmr Yes ma'am we do. It is especially fun at Christmas time! We go all out and the centerpiece is our stockings. Of course, our kids are much older now but we still hang them up! I like the Fall season too. There's just so many ways to decorate it that its different every year!
I love this! Lindy I just set up my kindle and signed up for the unlimited plan- guess what? All of Alexandra Stoddard’s book are included!!! I can’t wait (there are a couple especially Grace notes) that I’d like to find paper copies for. Thank you for sharing the joy of reading and the love of living well!!
@Southernladyasmr I think I've mentioned my family is from central ky. I have also told you that you sound like home to me. I am 61 now and remember spending the summer's at my aunt and uncles in Litchfield. They had a large ranch style home in which our bedroom was at the end of the hall. On weekends my aunts, uncles and friends would play cards. I remember falling asleep to the sound of talking, laughter, and shuffling of the cards. Since our families where not too far from each other I guess your accent is the reason you sound like home to me. It seems like yesterday!
Yesterday I finished this thriller (The god in the woods) where a character’s surname was Stoddard. I’m not American and I don’t know how common it is over there but I was sure I had seen it somewhere, turns out it was in this video! So I had to come back and rewatch it, it was extremely relaxing the first time
Lindy, I can't overestimate just how comforting your videos are and how much I need that right now. Thank you.
You are so welcome, Rachel!
Such lovely books! Thanks for another beautiful and relaxing video Lindy :)
Hi Meggie! Thanks so much!
I’m 33 and 1996 feels like yesterday. The 90’s was an incredible decade! 😊

Hi there! Thank you. That means a lot.
Hope your day is good!
