Surprised to see somebody who is not East Asian enjoy this natto. Glad that you like it!! The aroma is the best part, though! The fan is unnecessary! Thanks for posting!!
Tried this. Used 250 gr, plus a quantity of natto beans. Put a cloth inside the lid before closing but left the seal on. Result: no natto strings at all and hardly any smell. Very disappointed!
Check the temperature that your instant pot reaches on the yogurt setting. After several failed attempts at making yogurt I checked the temperature and it only reaches 80 degrees!
Love this! Nice idea of making natto from chickpeas cuz I love chickpeas so much!
Can the small 3 quart Instant Pot do the job with the 500 grams soaked beans you show ?
For those of you wondering, since this guy doesn't reply to his comments, he is using Instantpot Model Duo SV, 6-quart.
I will try that, thanks!

Haahaaa. Fan is certainly optional. Glad you enjoy it!
My husband asks me to make it outside. He is not as much of a natto enthusiast as I am. lol
