I watched “Coco” once so far on Disney+. But I was balling my eyes out so hard and singing along too. Am I the only one who found the movie a little bit educational too?
Animators often do that. They model the animated characters after the actors who provide their voices. Sometimes only a little, sometimes a lot. But yeah, they totally do.
por que todos han estado muy blandos con disney ultimamente? a parte de que trataron de registra el dia de los muertos y eso, todavia se tardan varios años en sacar esta pelicula supuestamente vinieron a estudiar la cultura y todo para que? para sacar el libro de la vida 2.0 odio el libro de la vida pero al menos esa si fue hecha por mexicanos detesto reconocerlo,en cambio esta no pasa de los clasicos esterotipos ya muy vistos (un perro ecuincle con mascara de luchador,eso parece un insulto a mexico LOL) ve el video musical de remeber me de esta pelicula aqui muchos se quejan que ni parece musica mexicana real si no como una especie de salsa pero que se puede esperar tampoco ni que fuera algo cultural solo es entretenimiento pero la parte mala de eso es que solo promueve estereotipos, por eso pixar ha estado muy mediocre estos años aparte de que vive de secuelas todavia se roba ideas o saca unas muy similares.

Yes, I agree.. anything handsome Mexican singer Carlos Rivera sings is beautiful.. the sound of his voice is amazing. The man singing in the video above is for the English version of the movie "Coco". He is American actor Benjamin Bratt.. he will be doing the voice for English speaking audiences.
The voice of Ernesto in Spanish is done by Marco Antonio Solis, Carlos Rivera’s version comes out during the credits. He does have an amazing voice 😍 I watched the movie twice already and had to stay during the credits just to listen to his magnificent music
Is it my imagination, or these songs sound better in the spanish version? Music is slower, voices are calm, sweet, much tender, richer notes, a guitar crying? It will interesting to see the english version after have seen the spanish one. In Mexico we loved it.

American writers and producers went to Mexico and did research for the movie because they wanted it to be as authentic to Mexican culture as possible. Coco premiered first in October 2017 in Mexico. The English version didn't come in the US until November 2017. Mexican singer Carlos Rivera sang the original version of, Remember me.. which continues to be a big hit in the Latin music world.
I'm a white American but I speak fluent spanish and was in Mexico last week and saw it twice in Spanish. Huge fan. It is beautiful!!!! Now I'm back in Utah and am seeing it in english with my family tonight! I've listened to the soundtrack in english and have to say that the Spanish soundtrack is warmer. I love it.
It definitely is better in spanish. I watched it for the first time (ik oops) yesterday in English and I'm american but i can't wait for the Blu-Ray release so i can watch it in spanish

I've been watching Pixar since seeing Finding Nemo in theaters and this is the only Pixar film that ever made me tear up... some of their movies in the past decade made me believe they fell off, but they still got it.
I PREFER THE MEXICAN DUB FOR MIGUEL (luis angel gomez jaramillo) i think he sings better, but anthony gonzalez does an amazing job as well but if you hear RECUERDAME (REMEMBER ME) with luis jaramillo´s voice it´s 100 better, JUST AN OPINION :)
just watched the movie and I was bawling like a baby. everything was so perfect, the animation, story, OST, etc. I will be very surprised if this movie didn't win Oscar later.
I’m sorry but I prefer the Spanish spoken version. I think down here in Mexico it’s been a huge succes because of the traditions (we are related to it, understand it, feel it and live it ), I hope it has success in U.S. as well though.

Out of curiosity, I listened to the Spanish soundtrack. I've quite enjoyed it. I agree that the Spanish versions of all songs are quite lovely. Admittedly, I"m not Latina, at all. Yet, I do understand enough Spanish to know what I'm hearing. If a Spanish-dubbed version of the film becomes available--perhaps on the DVD or Blu-Ray--I'll look forward to seeing that, since many of you seem to recommend it highly. I agree that Luis Angel Gomez Jaramillo is a very talented young man. But Anthony Gonzalez, who is about the same age, is also talented in his own right. He actually does sing quite well for his age. Just because you prefer one of them more, there is no need to disparage the other. They are both very young artists who are still developing in every way. Also, for those of you who say that the Spanish version of "Remember Me" is better than the English, remember that the song was originally composed by an American couple who are primarily English-speaking. I'm not going to make any remarks about whether the movie is culturally accurate. I'm not Mexican, so I'm not qualified to do that.
Great movie! Great music! Great light effects. I got so emotional with this movie. I had low expectations on the previews but was so wrong. I guess I thought it was similar to "The Book of Life". Very cute, funny, and emotional movie! Great way to bring up the Mexican culture for the little ones.

Can everybody just stop being so sensitive? As a Mexican American, I appreciate that Disney/Pixar is taking inspiration from our Latino culture to share a portion of our colorful and beautiful lifestyle. The fact that people are complaining that Benjamin Bratt is Peruvian and that this culturally inaccurate is so childish and unnecessary. Just enjoy the movie and appreciate the diversity in Disney movies.
I just found out Benjamin’s the same guy that plays jake in private practice and I can’t unsee it 😭 like I can’t look at his face and come to terms that’s him singing
