Robert Palmer belongs in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
No, good musicians should not be in that pig sty.
The fact that he's not in there shows how irrelevant that organization really is.
Diese drei Songs sind das Highlight seiner vielfältigen Karriere, geile Jahre 1979, 1980 ...
This guy is truly mysterious and magical.
Great cover of a Numan classic👏👏👏
Also great cover of Marvin Gaye around the 4 min mark...
Numan plays keyboards on the Palmer version. Great solo!
What Numan classic⁉
not really a cover they wrote it together
@@danielscott1749 Nonsense. It’s an original Numan track, from Telekon. Palmer had nothing to do with the composition.
Saw him twice in Toronto. Eyegasmes and eargasms
lucky you
I had tickets for the Queen E in Vancouver on the Pressure Drop Tour but it got cancelled. I had hear Little Feat minus Lowell was his band for that tour also.
Rest In Peace Robert Palmer you are missed
this is next level. The drummer is over the freaking top.... Numan would be very proud
He was always so funky. Love it.
Robert Palmer is great ! I used to have that song on Gary Numan's album . I didn't know Robert was an admirer as well . Just love Robert and Gary's music from Merry Olde England .
they rote it together!
Justice prevails, always good to see credit given where credit is due.
Fuck yeah
Dommage qu'il n'avait pas un répertoire plus inspiré c'est souvent de la daube et de temps à autre un coup de génie
Brilliant.. thank you.. first footage I have ever seen of Robert covering Garys song
Robert Palmer wrote this‼‼ Gary never covered this‼WTF
@@quentincrisp6933they're referring to I Dream Of Wires. Written by G. Webb(Gary Numan)for his album Telekon.
insane keyboard solo in 'looking for clues'. who is playing the keyboards for that solo? Holy crap that was great.
Jack Waldman
@@eiffethank you I just looked it up. Yes they were two keyboardists, but the solo was from Jack. Sorry to read that his life was so short, and claimed by HIV. It pains me to know that just 10 years later he probably could have stood a chance.
@@tomallen5837 Indeed. So many great musicians and people lost to this illness
All Robert Palmer is Welcome ❤
This is so cool!
Can you please put more Robert palmer content plz❤
Yes this.
Especially the early years of his first 5 albums.
Incredible
So young so fabulous already.
Damn straight. Gotta give it up.
Hermoso Robert ❤🔥
hearts
I agree
Awesome!
❤
...wow, ...this has a real bowie/eno feel to it... ...good stuff.
It's like a mix of sensuality and melancholy.
Interesting that he took on a different persona with elegant suits & ties shortly after.
Loved him. Miss him. Found dead in hotel room in Paris 2003. Heart attack. Was known to smoke up to 5 packs o cigs a day.
Sad! I was wondering how it happened... I hate cigarette smoke! Thank you!
I'm so used to seeing him in his tailored suits!
Has anyone figured out what the barcode on his shirt was for?
Hand made.
That drummer is tight , hits like a mule , really interesting period for Palmer , kinda lost his way after the Pride album
Casually throwing in Marvin Gaye like it was his own, Palmer was the full deal. That said, I'm kind of curious what bass model is being played in this clip.
What mic is he using?
It looks like a Sennheiser MD441
Why isn't he in the rock and roll hall of fame ?
He's too good for that shit 🎤
I'm so used to seeing him in his tailored suits!
