Due to slow digestion. Don't feed your bettas too much and don't feed on weekend...Is helpful to clean their stomach.

@DeathStroke bettas are prone to constipation and swim bladder disease. It's recommend to fast them one day a week.

@@sairvinginthestacks Great point.. I've had a few tropical fish start swimming disoriented at times, and swim bladder was to blame for the random ones. Others were possibly a disease, which i stopped with a dose of the Seachem general cure..
I had a beta from Walmart fed him Daily he lived exactly 3 years and never had a problem with it eating or being constipated

Just a Suggestion for Next Setup -
Use aquarium silicon to glue Stones to make igloos connected with Tunnel.
and a Little bigger in size because Bettas like to hide when Stressed and they can't hide in that coconut shell.
Or Hollow a Big Lava rock with Drill.

I like the video and everything, but I think its unhealthy for the betta to be held in your hand and you let it go. You should put the tank that he was in, into the water so he can adjust to the temp and then let him swim out. Its a lot healthier for him to!

Did you have to smooth the coconut openings you made? I know betta can get their fins caught on sharp edges, and i'm wondering if the opening in the coconut has caused any issues or if it is fine?Idefinitely want to try it!
I had no problems but it would be more accurate if the coconut shell edges are not sharp

Cool idea! Maybe invest in a dremel? Made me nervous with how you cut that coconut and the dremel will help smooth any sharp edges since bettas have fragile fins.

Thanks, I have a dremel-like tool I wanted to shred it to be natural, I just kept the substrate thick as I didn't use a filter, but you're right there should have been more space for the bottom

I just started with mine, can you post an photo or a video of how the carpeting held up now? Some say they usually last 2-6 months but i’m just really curious as to how yours looks like right now.
They get longer after 2 months. looks no longer like grass but like a background plant

nice, but ten days seems like a very short amount of time to wait before stocking the tank, even with cycled water. I'd have done at least another week. those baby tears (I think that's what that is) looks really good! did they melt back at all after submersion? one more thing: buying a betta from a store is not "saving a betta" yes, it makes a difference to THAT fish, but it just pays for the continued cruelty in pet stores.
I got the water from the ready-made aquarium, the bacteria cycle was established, I agree with you about betta.
@@ceyhunderindere did the dry start work for the plants? I am thinking about doing it but am worried they will melt with the decreased CO2.
@@ashlynwanderer Yes it works, I can say very little co2 requirement. But after 2 months it begins to grow and is no longer a ground plant

yes the tank is installed and the plants are elongated. they are not ground plants anymore :)

Actually the cave are not necessary because the betta only swin near the surface if you want the cave to be used put some neon tetra or tiny plecos
You can think more for decor purposes

Betta is happy, but the carpet appearance of the plants disappears, they grow longer. Maybe I can add an update video
Normally these seed grass will melt after 1 month. So if you need an instant grass field effect yes this is a good choice, but it wont last long.
Wonderful creative idea. Although I'd use a Dremel instead of that box cutter, I cringed a bit thinking you might stab your hand 😅😂

Hi, may i know is the carpet plant need any temperature control? for example, do I need to control the temperature on 26 degree to prevent it die?
The temperature I raised is usually room temperature, 22-28 degrees Celsius, I had no problem

They start to grow after 2 months, so it doesn't look like grass anymore.
I’ve heard the same thing, it doesn’t seem like anyone has had success with aquatic seeds long term.

If there is no fungus in the plant, wait a little longer, continue spraying.

It should be covered, spray once a day. 8 hours of light is enough
how is the seed carpet plant after a year? is it still thriving? how long before it transformed into submerged form? is the betta fish in this tank still alive?
it is not a real aquarium plant. 2 or 3 months barely live
He can't even use it. That's no hobbit house. Needs work. Great carpet though.

thanks, i used aquarium grass seeds but if you want a longer lasting ground you can use real aquatic plants
while this take is by far much better than being in a cup or vase or other "betta approved" decor on the market you didnt show you placing any sort of heater in this tank and as tropical fish bettas require water temps to be in the high 70s to low 80s, so i hope you have one for him.
The home environment is already warm, the heater will not work.

Lava rocks can and do have sharp edges to them which can snag and cut up a betta's flowing fins. Do not use them above the substrate. Lava rocks are good at culturing beneficial bacteria so add some in a cloth bag to elevate the substrate you place on top of the lava rocks.
I use lava rocks in all my scapes with bettas, never had a problem

bu tohumlar gerçek bir zemin bitkisi sayılmazlar bisüre sonra uzamaya başlıyorlar, co2 ihtiyacı yok. betayı bi süre sonra ona uygun bi yere aldım zaten. akvaryum çim tohumu diye geçer bu tohumlar
unfortunately do you not save a beta from such a situation, buy purchasing in those stores you actually support them in keeping fish in this poor conditions... sometimes not saving is more helpful then buying them... but the tank is beautiful...

Fungus can spread unfortunately, fill water if leaves have grown
